Michael Barisone/Lauren Kanarek Civil Suit

Huh.

Well, there is the old saying about having the best defense money can buy.

Is the lawyer a current senator? If so, I have to wonder how he’s able to do the job his constituents are paying his salary for at the same time he is involved in a case like this, which must be very time consuming for him.

The prosecution is supposed to turn over everything they have, even if it’s exculpatory.

Paul never sent the Snapchat video. He was murdered before he could. It took a year to unlock his iPhone and that’s when they found it. The State DID immediately provide a copy to the defense team.

So just out of curiosity, how often in a real trial would you see a big Legally Blonde moment, where something comes out on the witness stand that is a complete surprise to everyone involved in the case?

Theoretically, that should only happen if that witness was completely holding back in pre-trial interviews.

Richard Dick Harpootlian (Dick) is a current State Senator.

You don’t wash recently permed hair!

Interesting, thanks.

I would imagine that most of the time, if somebody was lying all the way through the process, they would probably continue to lie on the witness stand.

Unless they happen to get busted by Elle Woods.

Daddy was already paying for her housing down in NC and it was said that he didn’t want to pay for her to live up in NJ again as the horses were sucking up the allocated $$$$$ and he certainly didn’t want the liability of having her and RG around Livingston, hence the residing on the farm, which was supposed to be temporary, until she and RG got a place nearby, which was most likely never going to happen to begin with, but Michael was suckered into it and they took advantage of his generosity.

That evidence was there but male dominated investigators don’t know the basic rules of hair maintenence.

They also don’t know the rules of horse maintenance so… ?

You know what I think….that renting a house establishes residency……

Except the prosecutor in the courtroom was a woman, wasn’t she?

Or maybe she had never had a perm. I certainly wouldn’t have known about that, for sure.

Not to mention her guns.

A favor please - if you (general) are going to discuss the Murdough (sp?) case here instead of in that thread, can you not use pronouns but use full names so a clueless person reading along does not have to try to figure out what the post has to do with Lauren Kanarek, Jonathan Kanarek, and Robert Guy Goodwin, and then spend way too much time confused until they realize it has nothing to do with this thread.

6 months in state establishes residency. So if someone comes up from 6+ months in Florida in May NJ residency is established in December after a full 6 months.

So maybe the whole situation started out as a temporary thing by both sides?

Things were going OK so she went to Florida and when she came back to NJ things weren’t quite OK.

Maybe her true “dedication” wasn’t quite so dedicated when they lived off the farm in Florida? Hmmmm….

Remember, she stayed in a trailer off site when she was in FL.

Perhaps expectations grew as time passed.
