I don’t even get the point of the barring then if she wants to “tell her story” because that is a part of the story, is it not? Perhaps not her story, because it is, naturally, skewed.
I actually don’t see the point of the barring in general after this latest filing from GAS and it just seems like a huge waste of time. If LK is embarrassed by her own actions, then so be it. Sometimes that happens in life. It’s also not harassment. I get that to some people, anything unwanted, inconvenient, or unflattering is considered harassment, but that’s not the case.
If LK didn’t provoke MB there should or would be nothing to talk about. If she did, then there will be. SGF is entitled to ask her whatever they wish to and objections can occur as necessary. This isn’t the criminal trial. They weren’t party to that. She may have to answer some of the same questions or revisit matters. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
but, but, but, doesn’t she get to write the law they way she wants it??
but, but, but what about the opportunity to tell 48 hours all about it.
but, but, but, what about the opportunity to show all the videos/tapes etc at the trial, you know bombshells.
Gosh. So much going on. I can not imagine what Michael’s legal bills are.
Thank goodness that people realize how expensive this is and are willing to donate to the GFM.
Remember the scene in “The Hunt for Red October” where the Russian captain fires a torpedo at Red October and Sean Connery’s character turns toward the Russian sub, causing the torpedo to do a 180 to follow the Red October right back to the Russian sub and blows it up? Well, that’s what’s going on with all the Kanarek bombshells!
Honestly, I think the Kanareks are really, really worried about the illegal surveillance and the Finish the Bastard plan. I guess she has never really sued someone who called her bluff and said, “bring it on!” only to find herself in very deep water.
I read that whole thing. It essentially just reiterates the previous filing, not to mention, it asks for EXACTLY what Silver’s filing says it can’t legally ask for. It also doubles down on the whole “asked in the criminal case so shouldn’t have to repeat herself,” BS when Silver clearly states that SGF was NOT a party to the criminal case and therefore is well within its rights to depose the Plaintiff on any subject relevant to her claims.
Ya know, 50 years ago or so, my Dad used to encourage me to be a lawyer. My fascination with true crime and this case in particular, has me wondering if he was right. Sigh. We’ll never know.
