Well, the behaviors attributed to LK certainly meet that definition. And since MB was apparently talking to an attorney about the situation…he was attempting to work through the process of protection/eviction as well.

Okay, but that has nothing to do with the original question, which was “can a person obtain an attorney for the sole purpose of filing frivolous litigation to annoy and/or bankrupt someone.” Yet somehow people keep conflating my comments on that to harassment a whole.

Not aimed at anyone in particular… For some odd reason this sordid subject seems to bring out the childishness, and the all out weirdness, of some “true crime” aficionados who seem to consider crime as entertainment. I have never found crime, and the sleaze that most often accompanies it, entertaining.

News about the case is of some interest only because the crime involves horsey people, but the fixation that some people exhibit about this terrible situation is just weird.
Barisone is in jail and the woman he shot seems to have recovered according to people who keep track of that sort of thing.

This is not a made for T.V. movie. The people involved and their families must be devastated by this situation.

In my opinion, a little less glee and perhaps a little more compassion is in order.

I disagree. I think Lauren had a power over MB. She occupied his house. She maneuvered herself so that she was spying on his privacy. She stayed in his house after it was condemed, and forced his family to move into the barn. Lauren was a bully. She had horses in his barn she would not move out. She may have co-owned a horse with him or his girlfriend. She threatened him and his family in multiple ways. Lauren had the power over MB and was tresspassing, refusing to leave his property, screaming beneath his windows at night, threatening legal issues, refusing to obey legal citations. Lauren was the bully. There is nothing I have seen to date to entertain the idea that MB was bullying her.

I mean, most people wouldn’t shoot someone. Statistics bear that out as well.

and the police agree. The detectives I worked with told me that it is very rare someone will actually shoot someone. Even people who have violent criminal records. It takes something “special” in them to pull the trigger. Well known fact in LE.

You can say it as many times as you like. I’m going by the recording of that 911 call. Barisone states that the reason for the call is that his clients refuse to sign documents. He never says that he asked them to leave and they refused.

Then listen again. The reason for the call was they were outside the barn making threats and refusing to leave (you can hear the yelling in the background on the 911 call). The 911 person asks if they are still there. Barisone says yes. The threats were being made by LK & RG BECAUSE Barisone wanted them to sign a document. Which Barisone states is his legal right to do so on the 911 call to explain WHY and HOW the threats started.

Like me I think they are waiting to hear more of the actual facts in court. I am following because it is so bizarre I keep hoping to hear what actually happened. I feel like we can’t just accept LK version because that is the only side we have heard. I know people who know both LK and MB so I am neither a fan nor a hater, just someone who is curious of the whole situation. Barn drama is a reality in the horse world and this is an extreme example that went way too far.

Please show from factual legal sources how Lauren is demonstrably, not subjectively, a “horrible person”.

Stating things as fact does not make your opinions fact.

Paragraphs 1 and 2: I am not an attorney. Never said I was. I’ll try spelling out just a bit. I was referring to primarily this board, and LK’s own facebook posts. LK’s actions, as reported, and her own words form my opinion that she is a horrible person.

This seems to be another example of you misreading (?), then misrepresenting and twisting what others say. How long have you had trouble understanding the written word?

There is plenty of fan girling, the fact they try and justify him shooting someone point blank over a tenant dispute is fact enough how brutal his actions were.

When you make claims about events you did not witness, whether your claims are couched in what-ifs or not, then you are confabulating aka making things up.

When you are making claims about criminal activity but can provide no legal documents in support, you are making things up, and that kind of manufacturing is explicitly prohibited by COTHs current posting policy.

I remain flummoxed by the interest of strangers in stalking and slagging a nobody on a public but anonymous message board.

I remain flummoxed by the desire to protect a violent man who shot a woman twice in the chest, other than there remains a lot of heavy lifting for society to do to try to stem the tide of misogyny, especially internalized misogyny.

I have no idea who you are. But, NJ has & continues to release thousands of “prisoners.” Aka jailed persons.

I agree, NJ probably IS NOT releasing prisoners. See, *prisoners,” are serving sentences. So, Covid will not get those in PRISON released. How do we know they’re/you’re “making things up?” I was there. Further, those claiming to “know my past/current/future behavior,” are people I have no affiliation with. I know this Bc, I KNOW with whom my affiliations are & have been. Hope this answers your ridiculous question. I will lengthen the list of those who know nothing when I have my list in front of me.
