More. Kittens. OMG

I tried downloading an app on my phone for the barn kitty.
It took him about 30 seconds to figure out the fish in the phone aren’t real.
He started attacking the phone and tried to roll it over to get the fish underneath!
So much for that app.

The Porch Kittens (who are feral and have been since they returned with Mama about 5 weeks or so ago) have been exploring more and more. A couple of days ago, I heard a kitten crying across the road and lo and behold, there was one of the Porch Kittens in the ditch, totally lost. He must have followed Mama Tuffy to go hunting and then not followed her back.

But when I approached and talked to him, he actually came to me! He recognized me and knew I was okay. So he followed me back across the road and into the yard, where he’s been (as far as I know) ever since. Still can’t pet him, though.

I think you are a kitten whisperer.

Baler would run thru the house a zillion mph and then rocket across the room and leap up the curtains. He could get pretty far up there and mind you the top of the curtains is about 10 or more feet off the floor including the window seat. He would leap up to very nearly the top and then just let go. And fall several feet into the cat beds on the window seat and then be up and off again. Or leaping onto the top of my headboard and from there on the decorative “walkway” (I still can’t figure out why the builder put this ledge around the whole room at slightly below ceiling height) and from there just fling himself onto my bed which was several feet away. I had to lock him in the bathroom when I was not home for fear of returning one day and fining his lifeless little body at the bottom of some obstacle. Little idiot.

Mine go into crazy kitty mode and I worry about all the stuff they do. Mine seem to be energized after a trip to the litterbox.

Is your home old? Victorian picture rails were a thing for a hundred years, all the way to the 1940’s. My grandma’s farmhouse had them. Definitely possible kitty monorails.

We had that happen to a rabbit that was dumped on us by a neighbor. Her little eye spot got bigger and we treated with antibiotics for weeks and weeks without success. I cannot tell you how much she appreciated nightly eye squirts and mouth squirts! Her little bunnitude deepened and she was quite vocal with her warning grunts, lol. In the end, the eye swelled, like your kitten’s, and melted. Don’t panic if that happens. The pressure is relieved and any discomfort is gone. What it looks like to us is entirely different than what it feels like to them. We just called the vet and he bumped up the surgery. The eye was weepy for awhile after removal, but it dried up eventually. The biggest thing is keeping him from bothering it after surgery.

Our little one-eyed pirate bunny is just fine now. She’s 7 years old this year.

I will panic, no worries.

What’s odd is that in the past few day, the swelling in the eye has actually gone down quite a bit. It’s not bulging anymore like it is in that last photo I posted; it’s now the same size as the other eye.

Well duh. LOL

No - it was built in the 70s so maybe for plates or plants. who knows, but is definitely now a kitty monorail.

My aunt’s house had a decorative shelf around the living room, and a little rail with a back on it for decorative plates in the kitchen. The living room one was used for her ceramics collection. She was a regular customer of the do it yourself pottery shop in town.

Or Long Bun Silver?

You wouldn’t have any pictures of her by any chance? We love bunnies, too.

ETA: Oops, @Rackonteur beat me to it.

May need some jingles for Schuyler - his bad eye started to look a bit weepy this morning, and now it’s definitely weepy, and puffy. He is eating, but being quiet.

A couple from today - Hammie and Noodle, and all 3 of the Gremlins.

Jingles for precious Schuyler. Will the vet do the emergency surgery now that you mentioned above? (I wasn’t sure what melting had meant).

Jingles for Schuyler! Poor sweet little baby!

I’m not sure - I started him on antibiotics last night, and I’ll call today to see if the vet wants to do a check up. So far he’s eating and playing (though still a little quiet).
