So Schuyler will have the eye removed either tonight or tomorrow morning. Just since noon, it had started to really swell, so the vet decided it was best to do it now. Sitting here in the vet’s parking lot trying not to cry.

I’m glad the vet wanted to do it before it got worse. He will be much more comfortable with it gone. It took my little foster a little while to adjust but it was a pretty quick adjustment and she was bouncing like nothing happened.

The vet just called - the eye is gone, and Schuyler is waking up from the anesthesia. She said everything went fine, and he’s fine, and she’ll let me know how he is tomorrow. He may not come home until Wednesday, she wasn’t sure, but so far so good.
