You know, it has been mentioned many times about what can we do when we have credible and truthful information on a professional that would lead a normal person to want to communicate to others to totally avoid them. Well, unlike in years past we do have something called the internet and sites such as this. It seems these days that there are more ways than ever to disseminate information to a huge audience, as Stormy has so skillfully done here. I think this should be thought of as a good thing.
Daniels’s allegations against Doughty-Hume are discussed in this article from the Dallas Morning News. Sounds like legal action might be in the works: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/donald-trump-1/2018/03/14/vote-every-time-stormy-daniels-mother-hopes-alleged-affair-doesnt-hurt-trump
That is one of the worst pieces of trash masquerading as journalism that I’ve seen in a long time.
What a bizarre article…
“She hopes to reunite with her daughter one day. She will be dead soon, she says.” Classic textbook narcissism. I’m amazed they printed that. I’ve heard that from both my grandmother and mother (mother still alive, grandmother died 20 years after that proclamation).
I would be interested in how a lawsuit brought by Doughty-Hume would turn out. Can she prove material loss? We have this thread but how many people reading COTH would have trained with her that are willing to come out and document that? I live 800 miles away and this thread is interesting to me because I’ve been in the place of the screwed over horse owner but distance prevents any real potential business relationship. I think the scariest thing would be to have a landmark case on the records that would keep people from speaking out against horse professionals that hurt animals and create dangerous situations. We already have a transparency problem - that would only make it worse.
Good Lord, what a journalistic manure pile that POS was. I hope Stormy successfully sues the pants off everyone who has done her wrong including the idiots who posted photos of her home and neighborhood for all the world to see. And to think there were some whiners here who didn’t like her name being brought up on a thread about her being an equestrian.
It’s weird that you wouldn’t make the connection between what we were whining about (privacy) and what you are indignant about (privacy).
No it’s weird that you guys were upset about her name being mentioned and these asshats all but gave you a road map to show up at her house. Yeah those things are equal.
Here’s my point of view on that.
Those people who “outed” her early in the thread did it in an attempt to shame/discredit her. Just as this article is meant to shame her as well. I’m sorry that anyone thinks that the incredibly disconnected family should have any bearing on what is going on in her life now or that anyone thinks that a PHOTO OF HER HOUSE is relevant news.
Those that said “it doesn’t matter who she is” meant it as a universal statement of “it could have been any of us” or “her profession has no bearing on this situation”.
We can pick our friends, we cannot pick our relatives.
The lady said it all-hurt Stormy and she stops knowing you exist. The lady sounds pretty hurtful.
Publicizing her home address was so inappropriate. She’s got a child living there too
That article is nuts, and it has nothing to do whatsoever with what we are talking about here.
It is scary what people believe, that they read on the internet.
To me Stormy is far from the issue, it is what EDH has done and continues to do, and Stormy is the hero for coming forward. Trash piece of news. What kind of rag would post pictures of someones home.
I dare say Stormy has all supporters on here, for what she is trying to do.
No, we can’t pick the family we are born into, but when we become adults, we CAN choose if we want to associate with them or not. I haven’t spoken to my sister in about the same legnth of time, and I have my reasons.
That said, whatever is happening with Stormy and her mom, is none of anyone’s business, and personally, I’m sure there is more to the story (and still, we should MOOB).
Publishing it was just a form of Yellow Journalism (slanted propoganda, masked as news).
Wow, her mother sounds like a real piece of work. Laying on the “woe is me” act. Only thinks about herself and she loves trump. Boy, that tells me exactly why her daughter left and never came back.
But on another note, is it just me that gets all “awwww” when I see pix of people in their younger years. All the news lately about Stormy focuses on her from 2006 to now. But this article, as shamelessly stinky as it was, had those adorable pictures of her. She looked so perfectly teenager-ly
Digging into her personal life is a good distraction from the actual issue(s) here. I mean, if you have nothing better to write about (because you cannot produce anything newsworthy) then I guess you’d produce articles such as the one posted. I get people trying to make money (or whatever) off of broadcasting all sides of the story and stirring the pot, but how is this news/newsworthy? But people so feed off of this stuff because they’re…strange.
I’m curious about the actual legal proceedings and outcomes. I really don’t care for the “fluff” and it’s not good journalism IMO.
Mr. Frugal is a recovering lawyer and he once said that he was told that when arguing a case, if the facts are on your side, argue the facts. If they aren’t attack the other side personally. Once he heard that he decided not to be a trial lawyer.
But it does put things in perspective to consider them that way, doesn’t it?
I think the article is all drama too but I believe it was linked here because it says in that article that Stormy might be taking EDH to court.
That wasn’t very good advice, I always heard it as a dichotomy between facts and law— not facts and ad homs
I read that to mean EDH may be taking Stormy to court…did I miss something?
You missed nothing. I read it wrong.
Thank you for clarifying.
Remember that like most newspapers, the Dallas one has an agenda. It has been reliably Republican, right wing at that, until it refused to endorse Trump in the last election. But like a large part of the Republican establishment, it will protect Republican power.
