New Article on Cesar Parra Controversy
I am curious how you as a client or anyone that has come on in his defense would address the claims that have been brought against his business practices.
Ah, so you are a former client who feels you have been “done wrong”. That explains a lot. Why don’t you take him to court, instead of trying him in the court of public opinion?

As do the liability agreements of many trainers, particularly BNTs.

And yes, I have a lot of posts. As pointed out, over 14 years and on a great variety of topics. You, on the other hand, have only 250 posts, and all of them about CP. You obviously have a single-minded purpose for being here. What a sad life you must live.

My question was directed at Wind2mere and the most recent posts by Parra clients. I am not a client, smarter than that. I will tell you, I just saw the most interesting shot of Parra and his employees reading emails and texting during the ride of Endel Otts on the USEF network. How funny is that? They must be very engaged, (in their riding I mean). Busted!

Well, this is certainly the crime of the century.

I’ve seen quite a few liability agreements, including those of several BNT’s and it is not 100% true that their contracts absolve them of all responsibility. Some are written to be closer to a neutral position.

I have seen some that are so one-sided as to be somewhat scary. In fact, I had an attorney advise against signing a contract once because of that.

Not all of them are like that though…

We’ve removed some links to inappropriate sites and removed some of the ensuing back-and-forth.

Thanks,

Cesar Parra is headed to court on Monday

Hope [he] gets what’s coming to him. Too bad he can’t get sent back to Columbia. Maybe he could take up dentistry again - those clients can speak up if he is hurting them…

Sorry CotHers, no popcorn here today! But please go to entrance 3 to see the Steffen Peters blockbuster “Spurs!”.

So sad for William PFF, regardless of the legal battle. :frowning:

Not guilty legally but not innocent moraly .

Still wouldn’t get my horse, or me for training.

yup. [edit] I wish he would go back to his native country and practice dentistry and get out of the horse business.

Not exonerated by any stretch of the imagination. The whole thing stinks.

Judge Michael O’Neill barred the post incident video and photos of William PFF from admission into evidence. The Judge found the video of the stallion “violently thrashing and repeatedly failing to get up from his fall” prejudicial to Parra. Information about the “second training incident” alleged in the complaint was also not allowed into evidence.

Miranda has the opportunity to file an appeal.

Like I’ve said multiple times before. It wasn’t a surprise to me that he ended up with the number “666” at Gladstone a few years ago.

I hope Miranda appeals.

Why would the judge not allow the videos etc? Isn’t that the kind of stuff that should be shown?

He wouldn’t see any of my horses, either.

But in this case, I don’t think he should have been convicted. It’s hard to say that when I have a very strong negative impression of him, but I hope legit, sane people go after him for some of the other rumored things he has done if tey are true.

The fact this was used to smear him all over the internet, there is not a medical understanding of what is and was wrong with the horse, and the owner had video of herself riding the horse in draw reins shorter than those CP was longeing with made this one a sham of a lawsuit to me.

You kidding right! If this man’s reputation has been smeared its because of his own behavior. This isn’t his first rodeo. This is his fourth or fifth lawsuit I am aware of. “If it walks like a duck” I think that a longeing lawsuit would be difficult to prove to non horse people ( I believe it is an issue that would be debated among horse people)
especially if the evidence was not allowed in . This woman walked into his barn and within a matter of minutes her horse under his care and direction was disabled. She lost her horse, her peace of mind and I imagine a whole lot of money and he is gloating on his Facebook. I hope Karma comes around fast for this guy. Oh thats right, his sponsor and business partner just pulled out.

I just noticed that Sharon Packer wrote the Parra article and used her own photo of him. She makes a ton of money off of him and clients taking photos. This industry continues to amaze me.
