Here too, getting more used to things here also, that helps.
That feature at the bottom with threads I read on marked with more replies sure helps, no need to remember where was that last.

I saw this (screen shot below) while surfing about the forum and it leads to a question.
Does this new platform allow users to remove the whole topic after there are replies or just when there are no replies?
Did I quote? Did I embedded quote? Test test
edit: hm, I donât like the little reply swirl arrow, it makes it hard to follow along the thread. I want the grey box thing. Let me try again.
Just found something -
On Chrome, the little âupâ arrow that takes you to the parent in a grey box quote - the link area is TINY and not on the little arrow itself. Took some messing about to find/click it.
Minor issue.
Ah now Iâve got it.
Multi quote?
NAILED IT
Picky request/idea -
Can we have the ability to type a post number in the slider/counter on the right?
That way you accurately go back to a post instead of scrolling around, or overshooting with the slide bar.
Not necessary, just an idea.
I know we talked about this during beta testing and didnât want that ability, so I think itâs only if there are no posts. Let me double check the settings.
Yes, you can! Click on the green box on the right that has what post number youâre on out of the total posts. That opens up another box. On the bottom left is a âJump toâ box you can click onâŠclick on that and you can type in a post number.
Oh, waitâŠthatâs weird. So the green box I referenced is only there when you have your post composition box open, like I did when I was reading your question!
There a a handful of different emoji sets we can choose from. The current one is the default, which is Twitter emojis.
Here are the choices, as well as FB Messenger, which didnât fit in the drop-down menu:
For those who do not like scrolling, I just learned that if you click near the post number at the green slider just above it or just below it you will jump. Not sure how it decides how far to jump, but it jumps quite a bit.
Screen shot to show where I mean that you pick.
I verified how the post deletion thang works for OPs â an user can delete their own topic within 24 hours of starting it only if there are NO additional posts. A deletion notice is visible for 24 hours before the âstubâ of the thread is removed permanently. I can also see the OP in the edit history of the threadâŠnot sure if regular users can.
Things are quite slow on my iPad this morning, pages are jumping and skipping all over the place.
I only see this when my iPad stops constantly crashing.
You can actually click anywhere along the timeline and it will take you to that relative spot in the threadâs timeline. So, if you want to go back a bunch, click higher up on the green line.
BTW, I also have a request in to make the green slider a little more prominent on the timeline, so itâs easier to see/click. Would that be a positive thing if they can do it?
I can see that it says it was edited. When I hover over the pencil it tells me when it was edited. Clicking on the pencil does nothing. I can not find any place that tells me what the edits were.
What browser version are you using on your iPad?
I thought we disabled the ability for regular users to view other posterâs past post versions. Thanks for verifying!
It would be a neat feature to have but I totally understand why it is best that it is turned off.
I am sure my typing errors would provide lots of good laughs for people though.
Safari.
Also, whenever attempting to quote, although the quote is entirely highlighted only the first word shows up in the reply box and I have to type it in myself.
I was on the forum on my lap top last night and signed out when I was done. When I went to sign in on my iPad this morning, I was still logged in.
Oops, sorryâŠI also need the version number of your iPadâs operating system. Safari updates automatically with the OS.
Stupid questionâŠ
Where do I find the version number?
