Did someone say upthread that an original post cannot be edited? Or just that it cannot be deleted once there is a reply?
The thought of being stuck with an eternal typo in the OP is making my eye twitch.
I was going to use a different emoji there, but once I saw the unicorn option, I had to throw that in.
Edited to add: Holy cow. The array of emojis is crazy. And the part where all the options pop up if you type a colon and start to spell it out is something else. Is that new? Itās new to me! Or maybe I just never noticed it until now.
@halt I think the reason you are not seeing the tree you want ( >Home > Off Topic > The Menagerie ) is that it does not exist anymore.
What you see at the top is the tree that there is.
It is now > Home > The Menagerie, and > Home > Off Course, and > Home > Dressage.
Iām with you on that one @Where_sMyWhite ! The drop down and the categories page both. Iāll know weāll get used to a new order, but we had that old order forā¦how long?
Another snivel (really meaning Iād like a fix but not in the critical needs category) is getting the short previous when the topic is hovered over. Iād like to be able to see a previous of the topic when I am looking at a list of New topics
FWIW, yeah, sometimes wading through the replies can be a bit āconfusingā but I am loving being able to click on āNewā and getting a list of all the new topics in all the categories and Unreadā¦ seeing how many and, after clicking on that, being able to see how many unread are in teach topic and going to the first unreadā¦

Ooooh, I just saw something cool - if youāre at the end of a thread, you get a notification that ā(icon icon icon) replyingā - so you know to just sit and wait and soon youāll see their posts!
I agree. I love all the options for seeing various threads. Great job there!
I took this screen shot earlier as I think it is a great example of what the knowledge bar at the bottom of the original post has to offer. This one is filled with stuff. Great that you do not have to search the whole thread for that link, etc.
It took me several days, 4-5 maybe, in the beta site to get my feel for things, and that was really only because it was just a few of us with relatively few activities, so not a lot of situations for real-life use, but the learning curve and familiarity really did get better at an exponential rate once we really got in there and USED it
can you define what āaccessibilityā means?
Mod1 has already said there was a higher priority request to make the slide bar more prominent
But this isnāt FB, which was designed from scratch (and keeps getting re-engineered daily it seems, very frustrating). This is an existing forum interface that fortunately allows some personalizations and some plug-ins.
If Mod says the notifications are what they are, theyāre really not that difficult to understand - icon, username, thread title
One other thing I love is how crazy easy it is to post screenshots - so here is one with a question - how are the Categories that appear here for me chosen (Iām going to assume theses are the ones I visit most frequently), and is there a way to customize this or get it to show more?
When I click on "(23 more) it takes me to the page that lists all of the categories. Is there a way to just make that an expandable menu instead?
Otherwise, I really like this format more and more as I learn it. I was offline all day yesterday and the difference from Tuesday to this morning is amazing! Excellent job with tweaking the performance! Much thanks to the dev team as well, I think even those who are unhappy now will return and get used to the new format and learn to love it too.
Would it make more sense to have Menagerie under the Around the Farm forum?
Seems that some want to mute Off Topic and Current Events.
Perhaps keeping those two by themselves makes more sense, not having any direct horse/farm connections?
