Just tried again, both while on this thread (with no reply window open) right after reading your thread, and then I hit the big C to go back, and did it from that page for another attempt. Supposed to simply type ZZ, correct? Not holding any other key down, or something?
I would like to think that the majority of the posters here would not do something like that.
shift+z, shift+z. Type two capital Zs.
Do any of the other keyboard shortcuts work for you?
If not, itās probably that setting in FF where you search the page when you start typing. That link above has the details on how to disable so keyboard shortcuts will work.
Well thatās just rude
Edits still take a long time for me, whether on FireFox or MS Edge
I KNOW RIGHT?!!
(I have a touchscreen laptop, so I donāt have the keyboard shortcut menu. I want all the toys, come on!)
That shift+ZZ kicked me right out! Didnāt even ask If I really wanted to log out or anything, just BAM. Home page.
Clearly they assume that you will not accidentally hit those key strokes. Laugh.
I am the worldās worst typist and there is literally no telling what my keyboard will accidently spit out. Sometimes I look at what Iāve typed and wonder if a demon possessed my fingers. Cause that aināt what I thought I was typing - and sometimes it doesnāt even resemble English.
I like to do the āoh, this is what it looks like if my fingers start on the wrong keysā thing.
I just got kicked out again, had to login again.
I think that glitch is somehow related to having followed a link into some solar water tanks?
Maybe some links are throwing a wrench into how this program changes pages and kicks a poster out?
Log-in was no problem.
Iām still getting booted off the site all the time. If thereās a pattern to it, I havenāt figured it out yet.
I hadnāt been kicked off in a few days.
Getting logged out anytime I move from one thread/topic to another or if I click on the hamburger to jump to another forum/place.
Iām on an IPhone. Does not matter if Iām in mobile or desktop mode.
Are all of you that have this loggoff problem using an Apple device and the safari browser?
I am.
I am.
Given that the session thing is still an issue, maybe a forced logout has been implemented as a measure of short-term security until the issue has been fixed? Perhaps a userās session gets removed and the user kicked out when itās detected session security problems? Thatās pure speculation but Iām sure itās first priority in getting fixed.
The shadow on the screenshots looks much better
Okay, greatāat least we now have a consistency. That should help in reproducibility, and getting to a solution.
@Moderator_1 can share with the dev team
Thanks guys!
The other thing Iāve noticed is that if I forget that I am logged out and hit the reply button, I donāt see any sort of a prompt that tells me I need to login in order to post. I wonder if that happens to everybody? If so, maybe it should be addressed.

Could somebody please direct me to an example? I have not noticed such a thing, but I donāt know if I just havenāt come across one since the change, or if it does not appear on my screen for some reason.

Oh, thatās interesting. Hitting the āreplyā button acts just like clicking logināit fetches your log in details from the main site, and automatically logs you in here, so you can reply.
Not sure if thereās any harm to that behavior, since it is pulling just like the log in button, but that is kind of novel.
I had to go log out just to try it!
