Is there a way to adjust your settings to just quote the post you’re replying to? Some of the long chain quotes get a bit unwieldy.
If you use highlight to quote, you can pick what you quote?
No, I don’t think there’s a setting that limits quote behavior.
I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but I’d really appreciate a visual differentiation between threads I’ve responded to and threads I’ve only read.
My ignore feature is acting glitchy. Sometimes I see the “hidden reply” box, other times it’s just full blown right there in front of me. I thought it was an underscore in the username, but no.

clanter found that if you don’t assign an end date to the ignore (and that end date can be “forever”) it doesn’t actually work to hide the posts. If it’s consistently the same person that you’ve ignored but posts are showing, maybe that’s the problem?
No, it’s two people. But I bet I have it set for “forever” for both. The problem is intermittent - sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t.
Let me try the new end time.
@Moderator_1 I’ve noticed the same problem with the ignore feature that @endlessclimb mentioned. It’s a new issue for me that just started today, and I do have the ignore set to “forever” on the person whose posts are showing up for me again.
@supershorty628 @endlessclimb Are the people who you are trying to ignore still show up on the Ignore list in your Preferences when you’re seeing their posts show up?
What browser and type of device are you using to view the site? Any correlation between when it works/doesn’t and what browser or device you’re on?

Yes, they still show up on my Ignore list in my preferences, and when I click their username, it still shows me that I have them on ignore.
I am using Chrome and a Surface Pro tablet, but I have the same issue when I use Safari on my phone.

Same with supershorty, yes they’re still on ignore. I use only a laptop, with Chrome.

@Moderator_1 for the record, I’m back to not seeing the posts from ignored people. Have not changed anything on my end.
Thanks for the update. I haven’t heard if they’ve done anything that would have changed it, but I sent the developers a link to this spot in the thread, so they can follow along. Appreciate your help!

The website won’t let me put anyone on ignore. When I choose a time period, it doesn’t work, it keeps asking me to choose a time period.

That has happened to me, sort of. What I believe is happening is they are responding to someone who quoted me but removed enough quote to make it say it was me.
I think I made a mistake and mixed up a couple of posters. Otherwise, I haven’t had a problem with quoting.
I am still unable to IGNORE users. I select the individual, then select the time frame and when i hit the ignore button i get this popup: Please select a time frame
Platform, OS, etc? Is this consistent behavior for you on mobile & desktop? Apologies if you’ve shared this info before!

through Chrome. Always on laptop, no mobile…(zero cell service out here in the rurals
