New site GLITCH and PROBLEM reporting HERE

The glitches posting yesterday are gone for me.
Seems still just a bit slow changing pages, but that may be because of the avatars?

I miss seeing where everyone was from under their name.

I am on a Mac laptop on Safari and all basic stuff I am using seems to be working as needed.

I can upload pictures fine on the original post, is when editing to add a picture that I don’t seem to be able to, short of starting a new post?

Small potatoes any of that, can do fine without also.

I also miss seeing where posters were from as well.

I sent a request earlier today to add poster locations back into the information listed next to each post.

I believe they don’t offer a convenient member list as a default option in this version of vBulletin, if I remember correctly from what I read on their site yesterday. Will check.

In all situations, in all multi-page threads. I cannot advance to the next page unless I right click and load in a new tab. Whether you click the next page # or simply “next page”, it either takes you back to the Original Post -or- you get blue rolly ball forever.

I am on Windows 10, desk top, updated Firefox browser.

I had no problems at all with the old site.

I’d really love it if Notifications would either change to non-bold or something different, when the link provided is clicked. I’ve run a little test to see if they will just disappear off the Notifications list after, say, 12 hours after it was clicked on, but the answer is No.

When I click on a Notification, go read through however many new posts were made, get distracted and go read something else, or worse, leave the site with unvisited Notifications, and come back to the Notifications tab, I don’t always remember which thread I was on so I can Dismiss it, so I either dismiss the wrong notification, or end up back where I was the first time.

I know it’s not THAT big a deal, but hopefully it’s something that can be resolved. The old User CP tab had each visited thread go un-bolded so it was very easy to keep track of what has been viewed, and the visited ones disappeared after a period of time.

I’m not getting notifications after i messed around with it earlier today,was working prior to that now it’s not. When i change it i clicked on save and the notifications i want to receive are marked. Other then ignore not working and slow logout. I’m getting used to the new site and how it works.

Wish it was more phone friendly when i’m doing late night surfing ,when sleep evades me even though i’m dead tired.

The multi page threads still aren’t working correctly.

I have the same set up–Win 10, using up to date Firefox–with none of these issues.

But I couldn’t reply with quote or edit on the old board.

OMG… how do I Unsubscribe All? I didn’t see anything at a quick glance and at almost 3k subscriptions, an All option would be lovely :eek:

First of all, I love the new site – especially the intent behind it to improve access to all forum users.

While I have chosen email notifications, I am not receiving them. I thought perhaps my email was lost in the transition, but I cannot find an email field under settings/profile. I see an aim/google chat name field, but I cannot find an email field. What am I missing?

You can change the email or password associated with your account by clicking on your red username in the upper left corner of the screen.

I just started receiving email notifications of PMs and post alerts yesterday (I have not opted to receive emails regarding other notifications), so I’m not sure if it’s taking a little time for these to start coming through for some reason.

Anyone else have input on whether or not they are receiving emails they should through the system?

I was getting email notifications but didn’t get any from last night and there were 7 notifications in my message center this morning

The developers identified and fixed a bug in the vBulletin forum code from v4 to v5 that was causing the pagination issue where posts were all appearing on one page for some threads/users.

Not a problem to me, but it does seem different than yesterday - The Chronicle photos that are rotating thru along the right side of the page are distorted today. Either that or all the horses got VERY long backed. My computer is the same as yesterday (I have not even rebooted) and even the window for Firefox is the same size as it usually is. Not sure why those images stretched out, but figured your people would want to know.

This has been happening quite a bit today. With some interesting variation. Mainly like mentioned above but twice it has shown the name and avatar photo of the last poster being a different poster than the last poster in the thread.
Add this to it not showing read threads as read (different than not read threads) and it has me opening threads that have no new posts, because it shows the last poster as someone other than me, and I know I just posted in it. Even when I got out of that forum section and back in, it shows it wrong.

When I click on the eventing forum, for the first time every time I log in… it loads it, and then immediately goes back to the main page of the whole forum. Then I click eventing forum again and it’s fine and doesn’t go back… not sure if anyone else is having this odd issue. Only happens with this one forum, not the Horse Care of Off Topic.

Mod1, first off I just want to say thank you - I can tell the new site has taken a ton of work, and that it’s going to continue to be that way while the bugs and kinks get worked out.

I’ve got three things that I wanted to mention:

1. I’m seeing the same thing that trubandloki mentions in post #192 - those sidebar images on the carousel are all wonky today (but they were fine before, so hopefully that’s a fairly easy fix)
   ETA: I just looked at that again, and it’s only some of the photos in the carousel that are stretched out - looks like it’s the ones from #7 on.
2. Like Bluey and Beowulf, I totally miss the location info under a poster’s name - I’m looking forward to that coming back when y’all get around to it.
3. I really, really, miss the little drop down box at the bottom of the last post in a thread that allowed you to switch to a different forum with one click on the old site. The new site requires that you go back to the top of the screen, click on the breadcrumb trail to get to the full list of forums and then scroll down to pick the next forum you wanted to visit. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but it’s kind of annoying.

These may have already been mentioned: Would it be possible to enlarge that tiny blue button to the immediate left of the thread title? The one that directs to the new posts. It’s teeny tiny for me.

Would also like to see the small rectangle with the itty bitty corners that show if one has posted on a thread – the one to the immediate left of the aforementioned tiny blue button – enlarged, or at least have a more obvious signal that one has posted on that thread. Perhaps the entire rectangle could change color? Would make it far easier to scan a page of topics and quickly note such threads.
