Nick Peronace Dressage
I know - I found this because I searched his name earnestly looking for information about his qualifications in an effort to talk myself into supporting the clinic, but now I just can’t believe the hubris … What a quack.

If this guy is really paying someone to manage his social media presence, he ought to reconsider renewing that contract! Having less out there but having what is out there be ACCURATE and readable would be a million times better to the mess he’s got going now!

vxf111, I was about to post the same thing. I know NOTHING about dressage, although I am trying to learn, and I feel embarrassed for him. What I don’t understand is why shady wanna be trainers like him have followers.

I dont really feel bad. Not like the guy is aiming for up downers. When you call yourself a grand prix rider and sponsor awards in order to fool people who don’t know any better, you deserve to be outed as a fake.

There is nothing wrong with picking the low hanging fruit. You can make a good living of it, and there are plenty of these nice little old ladies who will pay you to learn to get the horse on the bit, put your heels down and post on the correct diagonal.

No need to inflate your experience or credentials. That just makes you a very justifiable target for heckling.

Or does he?
We don’t really know. Just because someone comes on here and posts in favor of him, doesn’t mean they exist.

Guess I’ll get together a fan club for me!

Interesting… now quoting Kelly on this page - on his FB page.

Online DRAMA is the last thing I want to see from a potential trainer.

I love how in this day and age, with the internet and all it’s glory, people still don’t understand how others will form opinions on them without ever meeting them. When you post questionable photos of yourself, don’t provide legitimate credentials that mean anything within the community you’re working in, and say really bizarre things, you are asking for negative judgements.

People lose their jobs or don’t get hired for a position based on what they put on the internet. The internet has become a very real way of assessing a person’s professional attributes. If this guy thinks this is the only time people have judged a person based on what they put, or don’t put, on the internet, – especially on their own website! – he’s very, very out of touch.

So where is this clinic…? Who is going!

ETA Poo nevermind for me. It’s in Iowa. If someone goes please let us know how it went. I’m morbidly curious.

I do believe kelly is his sock puppet.

Maybe Kelly could show us his clinic schedule for 2014 – who is hosting, where, when, who is signed up to ride. That might be very insightful since it’s “all over the world”. I’d love some additional information about Kelly and her Mom and their horses - as in how long they’ve been doing dressage and what level, who else have they schooled with, etc. That would all be quite revealing. Maybe some photos of them? Alot of smoke and mirrors but not much substantial which is a good reason to run away!

I think all of you have something backwards. Peronace doesn’t ride for you or even me, he rides for the horse and his art. You either follow his artistic technique and believe in him or you don’t, it’s as simple as that. To go on and on doesn’t make any sense, especially if you’re not even willing to come out to his clinic.
For me and many others, we admire him greatly and will continue to work with him and get fantastic results. Criticism is one thing, but you people act like he owes you something. He does not! But you owe it to yourselves to keep an open mind and always want to better your horse. I took, as many others took, a chance on this man who placed an advertisement in a magazine asking for an opportunity to show us his technique. With my open heart and open mind, I am very happy that I did, and I know the others are as well.
But now you all are going to start picking on me because I support him? Because I work with him and get good results and I believe in his technique? None of you have seen me ride either, so I think this is a group of people who just want to hate on someone.

I said my part. Keep talking, it is pointless. Peronace doesn’t care what a handful of critics think, his amazing abilities speak for themselves as he gets results time and time and time again, and will continue to get booked to clinic after clinic after clinic.

Wanting to see how a professional rides can hardly be characterized as hating on someone.

Good news for the NJ fans!
Oh boy. Those seem like nice people but they’re kind of basic 4H local type level H/J people. Why they’d be hosting a dressage clinic with a GP level trainer is beyond me. I didn’t even think they had an indoor (but I could be wrong). Or a dressage ring.

It is up to you vfx111 to check it out, we will spring for the audit fee! http://www.suffolkstables.com/
You’ve got to be kidding. Lordy lordy. The assistant trainer there is a friend of mine too  Maybe they do have an indoor, come to think. Because she rides all winter long? Hm… they are absolutely not GP dressage type people, that I am sure of.

$30 to audit?! No way. Unless someone else is paying. If they do, I will take photos and video  (of the maestro, not of others unless they request).

To the fans of Mr. Peronace: If I am going to pay $75 an hour (or 45 minutes, don’t know which) for a professional’s work, I am going to want to see a portfolio of what he/she is capable of or some pretty darn good recommendations. That’s more than a good house painter or plumber makes, kind of up there with a nurse practitioner, course developer, or mid range programmer. No one would hire any of those people without some review of their credentials or a look at their prior work. Why would spending some significant amount of money on a horse trainer be any different?

We are not being snarky, mean, or difficult. So far, nobody’s been able to produce much of anything other than hearsay. Video? Centerline scores? Evidence of advanced training? Testimonials? The great trainer I ride with has all of these and more. We are just trying to help people be better trainer shoppers.

In case you didn’t know, the horse biz is full of people parading as experts. Sad but true.
