Nick Peronace Dressage

Can you explain why you are pro-rollkur, but also claim to be a classical trainer?

You also know that Baucher died in 1873 and therefore cannot actually teach you? (Versus just reading what he wrote)

And that Nuno Oliveira died in 1989 in Australia and therefore died before he could teach you, too? Unless you read someone’s books and writings and that means they are your teacher.

If that’s the case, then Kyra Kyrklund, Klaus Balkenhol, Daniel Stewart, Janet Foy, and a host of others are MY teachers, and that’s a WAY more impressive list than yours so I’m going to hang my shingle out and teach some clinics!!

I have already answered this question.
All you’ve basically said is “I have no record but I love dressage very much and read many books about it.” That doesn’t justify advertising yourself as an upper level clinician. You have no publically available proof of your training or riding accomplishments other a few old photos of you and your childhood horse.

[ I have enjoyed this conversation I hope I have cleared up some misunderstandings or misconceptions, and perhaps some other time I can come back on here but I do have other obligations.
To answer this last question, I had only the book to guide me! If I felt that Chevy was struggling I backed off and drop the exercise and went on to something different. Chevy could not do ALL Airs. Not many horses can! I knew it was right when he did it lol! Example, Levade in hand. Chevy had a long back so collection was not easy for him, but what I was able to do was teach him to rear on command. From the rear I taught him Courbette. From Courbette I taught him Capriole and so on. Chevy never did Levade in hand, but DID mounted and out of a canter, not a Piaffe like you’re supposed to do
QUOTE=alternate_universe;7341857]If you were teaching your horse airs based on a book how did you verify you were doing it correctly? Did you have any guidance from another trainer who was already experienced in haute ecole movements?

When you go to clinics what group of riders do you generally get placed with? Other upper level riders? How do you tell the clinician what group to put you in?
I have stayed well past my 30min. Everyone, have a nice evening!
Thank you

Guess we’re never going to see any video of him or his students riding or get an explanation for his claim of training 14 horses to Grand Prix.

Because there are none.

Nope. Selective question answering and then out of time (typical). No answers to the difficult questions, the ones that don’t favor his agenda which seems to be to mislead beginners. This is the same type of situation with the Spirit Bridle guy.

I’m gonna buy me some books and make me a trainer

Well, atleast whenever someone Googles his name this thread will show up in the first page of results. Hopefully some future potential clients have enough forethought to look him up first. Does anyone think it would be worthwhile to tip off the local and state dressage clubs to this guy’s scam?

Why not shoot for higher aspirations and read books from fields that pay more? “Dummies Guide to Brain Surgery”

Dude, I read the bible. GOD WAS MY TRAINER!!! Top that!!

ROTFL!
I’m in PA and someone mentioned this guy’s name … I had never heard of him before. Now I know to tell people to run!

But he sat next to Robert Dover!!! (Does he know Robert is gay? and married?)

Yep.
And you have never seen him ride.
If you are in Pa why not invite him out for a clinic or do you feel too threatened and is it easier to be wicked instead?

Such jealousy here from you people. I thought Peronace was very honest and up front. He was kind enough to answer your questions but you are still not happy?
What-a-group-of-a##holes

This is all sort of sad to me. I don’t really think this guy has malicious intent. He’s just so completely clueless. Here’s a breakdown as I see it:

 1. This one time when I was in high school I had a horse and I got him to do some cool stuff I read about in a book.
 2. Then I stopped riding for 11 years.
 3. I decided to start riding again. I read a lot of books and seem to have some natural feel, and riding is fun and I needed a job anyway, so…
 4. I do not have any grasp whatsoever of what the current dressage world is all about, or what kind of work, training, effort, time, and skill goes into being an actual dressage trainer, nor do I care.
 5. I made this website all by myself lololol! Oh and hey, Facebook lets you make a free business page so I’ll make one.
 6. Why does everyone hate me?
I think people would like to see him ride. Didn’t you say you had video?

Kelly and nick–Give it up. You have a bunch of VERY experienced horse people here. Some of us have actually trained and shown an Appy to GP. The arrogance both of you have about what you know is very indicative of ignorance. You know so little, you think you know a lot.

There are all kinds of beginner riders out there. That’s fine. But pretending you know something and trying to schill and lie to people about it is a huge problem, and liability. You are a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Do you and he share a computer, kelly? Y’all are never on at the same time…
