Hope you are feeling better this morning.
I wish … actually I passed out from dehydration this morning when I stood up to get more ice. and am just sitting here waiting for my mom to get back home from feeding the horses so I can go back in to be admitted. I began bleeding again last night and it just went down hill from there.

so they want me to come back in to go on IV fluids/pain killers. the stuff they gave me now is not even taking the edge off. so who knows when I will be back. I have a few people keeping an eye on Thomas and Pony for me while I am gone. I have not seen them in 2 days and its giving me the creeps not seeing my boys.

I will try to update if I hear anything

IV pain killers are the best, I hope they fix you right up!

Oh yeah. The IV fluids will help a lot, too

Oh, you poor thing! You’ve done all you can right now to make Tommy safe. Concentrate on getting better. Hope to hear good news from you next time you post.

Your tale of woe make me glad I had my tonsils out when I was six. It scared my folks half to death because all I’d take in was 7-up and crushed ice, and I was a skinny little waif anyway. It sounds like it’s a rougher surgery on grown-ups.

Fleur, Here’s to hoping you are doing okay and the IV fluids and meds are helping. Update us when you can and we’ll all send jingles your way.

Lots of happy thoughts and jingles going your way, Fleur! Take good care.

Jingles and hoping you feel better SOON! It sucks to feel bad at Christmas. A couple of years ago I had the killer death flu right as we were going to hubby’s family for Christmas. I was crying, I felt so bad.

I know my sister suffered a good bit when she had her tonsils out as an adult as well. They say it’s tougher, and I guess they’re right!

Tommy is a super handsome boy. I think he’d look awesome with a couple of beefy bouncers protecting him!

Seriously, that is too ridiculous to be true. That email pretty much sums up every cliche joke on this forum. Someone has GOT to be playing games with you- that is just too crazy!

That story makes me want a nice collection of really nasty dogs at my feet. That is so scary! I’m so glad nothing else happened, that is just too weird. It makes me happy to have an alarm system, motion detectors, and a large ferocious sounding dog (he’ll growl and snarl at the door even if he knows you…its HIS house. lol). I wonder though if he’d do anything once the person was inside? Gives me the creeps!!

Good for you, hopefully this fruit bat will now realize that your parents will seek legal action if need be. Did you guys look to see if she has a record of any sort?

I was stalked years ago by a coworker. And let me tell you it was creepy. He was about 8 years younger than me and engaged. His fiancee (and he did have one because she came in to see him now and then), lived in another state. A group of us would hang out together and he and I became good friends.

I had inivted a few people up to watch a movie at my friend’s house that I was housesitting at, including him. When everyone left, he stayed behind. In the back of my mind, I knew something wasn’t right, but I played dumb. Just told him that I was going to bed and good night. He did leave.

A few nights later (still housesitting…and this house was wayyyyy off the road in the woods), I was talking to a friend on the phone, when I saw a shadow go across the deck…my heart sunk, I reluctantly looked outside (these were about 8 french doors)…and there he was peering in and me and the damn dog standing beside him wagging his tail. Part of me was relieved that at least I knew who the person was and part of me was very creeped out. I let him in, once again, I played blonde. He stayed for awhile and then left.

He finally told me one night that he had hoped to spend the night with me both those nights…I nicely explained to him (wasn’t attracted to him AT ALL), that he was engaged and I would NOT do anything like that to his girlfirend and he shouldn’t even be thinking about this. He “agreed”

Well…it didn’t end there. I would have to hide my car in the apartment parking lot so he wouldn’t know I was home, if he came to the door, my roommate would tell him that I wasn’t there.

A couple weeks later I was housesitting again (same house)…he called me and really creeped me out…told me that he knew exactly which room I was sitting in when I was talking to him (I know he logically guessed, but still it was creepy)…I set the alarm that night. Nothing like being creeped out in a 6000square foot house in the woods.

One weekend my college roommate was in town…and he knew this because I had talked about it at work. She and I left to go out to dinner. Came home and saw a pair of man legs sitting on the couch…I assumed it was my current roommate’s boyfriend. When he stood up, I literally screamed…it scared the crap out of me. My stupid roommate had left and allowed him to come in and wait for us.

That was the final straw. I told him that enough was enough. He did leave. At that point, I had to talk to another person at work about him (I was also a public school teacher and this friend was my music rep for school)…This friend was very worried and actually went to the TOP about the situation.

Later that evening, the store manager (my friend) called me and asked me why the hell had I not told him this was going on…apparently other things were going on as well in the store (stealing)…so they fired him.

Didn’t see him after that until…

The second new Star Wars had come out and my new boyfriend and I went to go see it…and as we opened the theatre doors, I ran slam into him…he gave me a dirty look. At that point he and the girlfriend were married. And of course they sat two rows down from us and he kept whispering and she kept looking back at me. My boyfriend (now husband) was starring him down (I had told him the story). My guess is, that he had told her a completely DIFFERENT story, me as the vilian.

So yes, you did the right thing by taking this seriously. I hope this ends it for you.
Fleur… any news?

And how are you, post op? Hope your’e feeling better…

Well thanks for asking
I am doing okay. Still in a great deal of pain. As I posted before I had to go back into the hospital due to severe dehydration and pain. I came some tuesday. I am on oxycotton for pain, but honestly it doesn’t make the pain go away, just makes it bareable. But I get incredibly itchy from it and loopy.

I have bruises all along my one arm that I didn’t know why, well I just found out! The anastetia doc thst put me out is my moms friend and she has horses in nj. So when I was going to sleep she was talking to me about showing; calming me down having me invision a perfect course. It was kinda cool the way she did it… Just went through the course. Hunter circle, lead departure, going to the first fence, finding the perfect stride, then she counted down the strides in the line. … And I was out LOL. Well it made me dream about the course and In the dream I fell off LOL and tom (I mean winston) was galloping around out of control. So when I was waking up I thought it was real and started fighting the nurses to “catch tommy”! Haha so I ended up smacking my arm good as I flailed around on the bed. LOL the docs and nurses got a good laugh… Last time she puts someone to sleep like that!

Anyway today was the best day so far. But the scabs are starting to fall off and my bleeding issue is of some concern. Just Goya wait and see.

And as for a winston update. She received the letter. We got the tag saying so. But haven’t heard from her

Hee! You are loopy. :lol::lol:

Hope you feel better soon and Crazy Horse Stalker leaves you and “Winston” alone.

Hang in their, Fleur!!

I got my tonsils out 3 years ago… it was awful! It took 4 weeks before I sounded normal talking, and 6 before I could eat normal food. It’s a looong and miserable process… but sooo worth it. I haven’t been sick at all since they took them out… but I wish they would have done it when I was 5 instead of waiting until my 20’s…

missed the part about you feeling so crappy…so so sorry! Feel better soon!

Thanks for the update. I have been checking in on you… not stalking though!!!
I hope you feel better, if it is any consolation, you sound like you look terrible! I always think if you are going to feel bad you might as well look the part so you get more sympathy!

friends don’t let friends post while on “oxycotton”

Oh dear… I am sorry you are having a bad time, both with your sweet horse and your post op

but that is one priceless bit of posting

{{{{fleur heal quickly}}}

Hope you feel better soon, Fleur! Glad to hear Tommy’s (er… Winston’s) stalker hasn’t given you any more problems!

I remember back in 9th grade, I was kicked in the face by a horse and had to have surgery. Well, I had a paper to write for english class, and the teacher said that “under no circumstances should this paper be turned in late! Email it to me if you are not here!”. So, not wanting to turn it in late, I sat down at my computer and typed this paper, while on very heavy pain meds:lol: Emailed it to her and told her what happened to explain why I wasn’t there, and she sent it back saying “go lay down and read the paper when you are off pain meds. Then, please rewrite it and resubmit it!” So a few days later when I could tolerate the pain enough to wean off the meds, I go to reread the paper. Oh. My. Gosh. It was awful! I forgot to put punctuation at the ends of my sentences, had a bunch of words spelled really oddly etc… and it really didn’t make much sense either:eek:

Nah, friends give friends a break when they are on pain meds

Glad you’re feeling better!

Thanks guys  haha yes me and my dad are both on oxycotton so we can share meds LOL. He was in the hospital Xmas eve bc he was hit in the head with a floor joist at work and his whole right side of his face is 3x the size of the left and all bruised. He will be ok but he looks like hell. It certaily made for an interesting holiday!
