Opinions on DHH crosses for jumping?

I can’t see them either, but I know Kate blocked me on Facebook.

Latest protocol seems to be that the American jockey club sends out the foal application paperwork, DNA hair sampling kit and microchip kit with all cross referenced to the distinctive chip/number sent out for this foal… It seems to be triggered by the report of live foal being filed with the AJC.

The stallion report from stallion owner is also needed for registration (that seems to be electronic filed now by SO).

No, the way I read it, the stallion, Jackaroo, she used is a full sibling to Mandiba and High Kingdom. The mare is just one of her DHH mares.

Yes, on the second ad, there is a price. The first ad does not have a price.

God all these babies are just so unattractive :see_no_evil: and not just in a “yearling fuglies” kind of way. This is not functional conformation for anything other than cart horses.

You’re right, you’re right - I knew that but my brain’s wires got crossed.

So once again she goes on about the sire but no information about the dam.

I guess her foals are like Athena - they simply emerge, fully formed and adult-sized from Zeus’s forehead. Or just as disturbing an image - Zeus swallowed Metis when she was pregnant with Athena, who then was born from Zeus.

Zeus came to lust after Metis, and chased her in his direct way. Metis tried to escape, going so far as to change her form many times. Turning into various creatures such as hawks, fish, and serpents. However, Zeus was both determined and equally proficient at changing form. He continued his persuit until she relented.

An Oracle of Gaea then prophesied that Metis first child would be a girl but, her second child would be a boy that would overthrow Zeus as had happened to his father and grandfather. Zeus took this warning to heart. When he next saw Metis he flattered her and put her at her ease. Then with Metis off gaurd Zeus suddenly opened his mouth and swallowed her. This was the end of Metis but, possibly the beginning of Zeus’s wisdom.

After a time Zeus developed the mother of all headaches. He howled so loudly it could be heard throughout the earth. The other gods came to see what the problem was. Hermes realized what needed to be done and directed Hephaestus to take a wedge and split open Zeus’s skull. Out of the skull sprang Athena, full grown and in a full set of armour. Due to her manner of birth she has dominion over all things of the intellect.

Sorry. I do love my asides.

Not that there is anything wrong with a good driving horse, of course.

Oh absolutely nothing wrong with that. But be honest about the horse and what it is bred to do/would excel at. Nothing about anything Kate has ever bred says hunter/jumper/eventer/dressage horse to me :see_no_evil:

I agree - 100%.

I will never understand why anyone would put up sales photos of rough coated and unthrifty horses and expect to get decent prices. When you advertise, way more than the pedigree counts. These pics look more like craigslist or local sale barn ads. Spend a few bucks and get them fitted up and shiny, then get some professional photos.

Lordy, my $780 Bowie Livestock filly is looking better and better by comparison.

And try to take a photo that does not show off their crazy weird conformation.

Will consider an amateur if with a professional so the horse can be campaigned.

ummmm. ok! lolololol. What a joke.

Impossible! Those babies are all jacked up.

Not fully impossible.
No, they can not be made into something they are not.

But the way they set them up, with their back all dropped and their funky neck all weird is not helping them look better.

A relaxed shot with their head out in front of them would help both of those problems not look so extreme.

Agreed. But I always comment like that because of the money she wants for them and the delusional grandiose opinions she has for them. Hard to set up a viking ship!
