Oh good grief 
We are talking about US Olympic qualification - for that to happen we need the US to have a “better” day than yesterday and some other teams to have a “worse” day in the sense of worse than the US so the team can qualify, it’s not a wish for people to go crashing through oxers or swimming in the open water!!
Glad to see three solid rounds so far from the US, Karl finishes on a positive note and now Laura can finally come in for a round without the pressure she’s had the last two rounds!

I would guess probably not. She can’t improve the team score, so why waste her horse? Unless she thinks the mileage might do him some good.

If she wants to remain in contention for an individual medal she needs to ride. If she wants to save her horse she doesn’t need to ride.

I believe it still counts toward the individual finals so I would expect her to ride since she’s in a good position.

That is what I wanted to know if she was still up for an individual medal. I thought she would be.
Pretty sure that was Laura schooling in the red jacket and black air vest. I would be surprised not to see her come back to vie for an individual title.

I wonder if that would bump Karl out of a spot for the individual round on Friday? I’m not sure if this is one of the competitions where only the top three riders from any team are allowed to advance to the individual final.
Does anyone know why the commentator is saying Mexico can’t get the Olympic spot?

I really felt for the people they showed right after the last horse went. They were waving their flag around until they realized the horse had the last jump down, and then the guy put his hand over his face.
