Ponies of the 80's and early 90's

Yes, Courtney leased him in 1988 and then Katie rode him. Who rode him prior to that?

Hint: She also rode Change of Heart and now rides for a top barn in northern Va.

Beau Breeze started out in VA with Dale Crittenberger and Courtney McPherson rode her. She was a 4-5 year old at the time and Dale bought her from a Great Falls lady who moved to FL. He had her and showed her. All I really remember is that she hated brush! We sold her to a trainer in NC and a girl named Hope owned and showed her then.

Shining Moment was defintely Laurel Mullen’s

I remember Peter Pan. I can’t think of who rode him.

Spoiledsweet:
I had Halcyon Hyacinth, who sadly was put down after I sold her. She was doing the green’s at the time and was a full sister to Hawthorne. I also rode Halcyon Oscar Wild, Halcyon Lily Maid, and more of that line. I bet we have met at some point.

Who were the many riders of Yes I Can?

MKM, I am sure that’s the same Magical Cloud Patty bought at the Auction at Pony Finals. I gave Catherine Winter her first riding lesson. Ask her about it sometime!

Jen, I remember that Beau Breeze, too. Not a mare, but I have no idea where Pat got it. There’s a question you’d know the answer to on the junior hunter thread. alzheimer’s is a terrible thing…

Cookie Monster(My Favorite!!!)-

I was one of the last people to show Cookie Monster. He was a monster! He would try and ditch me in the hacks if I wasn’t paying attention or try and stop just to test me. He was a great “learning experience.”

What about:

Glenmore Twilight (champion at WIHS in the early 90’s)
Glenmore Pinkie

Both were at my barn back in the day. I know Leigh Szubrowski (sp?) owned Pinkie at the time but I’m not sure what happened to either pony. I had heard that Prissy (Glenmore Twilight) was no longer with us but I’m not sure.

Michael Dennehy was Special Effects first rider.

Molly Ashe also rode The Executive

I.C. Blue Shadow - Constance Howell

AM Star Spangled Banner - Katie Bumper
No Deposit No Return - Courtney Booth
Dancin’ on Air - Hope Batchelor
Radishes & Roses - Kibby Shippard ? Shifferd ?
All That Glitters - Shannon Nutt
Beaujolais - Tara Buzan

My Buddy - Laurel Mullins

Millbrooks Moonglow - didn’t Sarah Prant have this one at one point? Mindy definitely trained it early on…

Nilla Wafer was found, and started by the Murphies of AZ. Tina Murphy showed him till he was out grown.

Courtney Wolf had some very good ponies, anyone remember who they are?

BANANA*
Did we talk at the Pony Finals a few years back at Fairfield??
I was Ben Guanciale’s first “employer” after college.
We had Shorty at Sea Spray (St.Pete). After Jessica had so much success in the Mediums, Shorty had to start two other little riders!
She was sold after Rachel Bromberg got too big for her.
