Ponies of the 80's and early 90's

Olivia77 - did you live in Cross River? I think you are the same family who bought my grandmother’s house after she passed on and I was wondering if you still live there!

Dabble Do Ya was also ridden by Meghan Moran and Erin Stewart. Last I heard(around August) he is still owned by Don Stewart. He may be at the Schaeffer’s barn b/c Samantha is a fabulous little rider!

Didn’t Eliza Lane ride Bugle Boy after Cullen?

one of my very good friends when i was a kid had sara.

what about glannet prelude?

yeah, i remember cinderella. i used to show her when pam had her. i loved riding her. she was a really sweet pony. a little sassy sometimes, but she’s a mare, so you have to respect that.

i rode her for about a year and a half after she was purchased… i loved her sooo much. I ended up leaving the barn i was at… almost broke my heart…but Cinderella taught me so much so i’ll never forget her

i always loved watching other people ride her… she always gave them a hard time

well i am glad to hear cinderella is still out there. i know what you are talking about when it comes to other people riding her. i got along really well with her and she was always good to me, but she could be a little funny with some people. she liked being ridden the same way i would ride my pony (indiana jones) so it worked out well. she was so sweet and i really appreciated her, so i hope that the people riding her now find her special. she just wants someone to love her. anyway, it’s good to get the update on her.

Many of these names sound familiar. I know only the ponies that showed up her in Toronto area (Canada). I am not sure if they are the same ponies?

Polaris Starship ”" Ryan Roy (passed away quite a few years ago)

Swan Song ”" Is this a very typey gray small? I think Lauren Hayes showed her up here.

Jordache ”" Is this a strawberry roan small? Cleophe Eaton (sp) showed him up here.

China Doll ”" Is this a beautiful gray large?

She’s Got Dots ”" Is this is chestnut large with small spots all over? Showed up here also

Turtle Express has been showing up here for several years ”" Did he always have that stop?

Rowfina Collage (sp) ”" Has been show up here for a couple of years recently

What about:

Pocket Rocket ”" a small grey. Ridden by Alexandria Eaton up here.

Marilyn ”" chestnut large, came from Gary Zook’s, was a very large large!

Call Me Monday ”" gray small, showed up here for a couple of years (’91-’92)

Gold River ”" small palomino, ridden by the Riley girls.

Call Me Monday
Hilary Mcnerny (SP??) rode her i believe…

I am wondering if anyone knows where Foxlair’s Fascination is now? I had him a long time ago and heard he might be in FL??

I love this country!!

My sister has Bugle Boy now. He is a grey medium, used to have dapples, about 13.1, and about 20 years old. Cute mover, very good jumper. Cullen Latimer used to have him, and he is in Judy Richter’s book (Pony Talk? That might be what it’s called), pictured as “Cullen’s new medium” and then something about her getting jumped a bit loose. We bought him from the Leones. Peter (Jr.) had been showing him, but outgrew him. I think they may have leased him out to Faye Keegan a few years ago. Callie Leone also showed him in the medium ponies a couple of times. Anyone know who else had him over the years, between Cullen and the Leones?

Charlotte

For Kids Sake…didn’t Paige Johnson ride him?

How about this one, all you Northeasterners: Touch of Gold, palomino large. Did Children’s jumpers & eq. mostly.

Did anyone know a small pony named Millbrooks Serendipity?? My family owned her in the late 80’s/early 90’s…I know she won the model and I think an o/f class at devon before we bought her. Just wondering if anyone remembered her??

MHM - who art thou?! I’m racking my brain…

I’m thinking its not the same Turtle Express…this one was in its younger years (maybe 5-7) in the early 90’s. Very pretty, good moving, bay large.

what about blue ice and country mile?

Tuffy was a large, he was grey. I hadn’t seen him since late 1990 so I don’t know how white he got. He had some dapples left last I saw. Really nice mover, part arab/welsh so he had a cute typey head.

The Tuff Competition that I knew fits this description. He was with Jubilee Farm (Crystal and Amber Thiesen) in 93, though I’m not sure what happened to him after that.

Do any of you know the whereabouts of Yes I Can? I knew the little rascal when HHV had the pony in Memphis. Pony could find mud when it hadn’t rained for weeks. Left for Tryon, NC in ?91-92. You all seem rather up to date. (as I am not)

Yup, I showed Worley for Kennedy Prentiss. Kennedy was still “new” to the sport when they bought the pony, so I was able to show her in Indio.

yeah, i showed worley too when the prentiss’ moved to virginia. i guess i showed her for about a year, maybe more. it was good times. man, that was probably 8 or 9 years ago. wow, time flys…

Blue Devil, good point, I remember when Katherine got Dreamboat.

Were you in NC around that time, if so we must know each other!
