Didn’t Eliza Lane ride Bugle Boy after Cullen?

Thank thank thank you for those pictures! he was (is) one of the all time greatest teachers. Yes. Eliza rode – i think she leased - wilbur -from cullen.
and tackpud - yes ,I live in Cross River! And pleaes email me, opirovano@fdmw.com . …

For Kid’s Sake was DAISY Johnson’s pony I believe. Maybe I am confusing that one and Another Kid though. I distinctly remember Daisy being reserve @ WIHS a few years back on a “Kid” pony.

Strike It Rich was for sale more than a two years ago. I think Taylor won Devon in 1998 or 1999 with her. She was up for sale shortly after, but I never heard who got her.

Pocket Rocket was in NJ a few years ago, maybe as recent as 3-4 years ago? Very cute pony. It was showing in the Shorts I believe.

How about these ponies:

Memphis Belle - Caitlin Lane won PNHS three years (give or take) on her a few years ago. Haven’t really seen her since. Grey, medium mare.

Cookie Monster - Ancient, if he’s still alive. Was a Zone (2?) small pony champion in the 80’s I believe. Quite a spunky pony even when I rode him in his late teens.

Straight Talk - Lost track of her after Jessica Speiser owned her. Absolutely, positively my favorite pony EVER!

The Artful Dodger - Julie Befeler’s grey medium gelding.

- Lindsay -

Havens Schatt and Allison Firestone also showed Touch Me Too. Lindners owned Change of Heart when Kelley won the pony medal finals in 1989 and Winn (Reid) Alden showed her as a green pony.

Ragdoll- I used to work for GD, so I remember you riding Seymour. Wasn’t he the one who spooked at something at Buffalo and scooted to the center of the ring? I can’t remember if it was that pony or Stargazer who did that. For either one, it would have been a once-in-a-lifetime mistake.

P.S. How’s your mom?

the light bulb has finally come on, I think! I’ll send you an email. Mom is doing well. Retired from teaching school, so now dedicated full time to her ponies!!

Who’s Kidding Who is pretty young- did the greens in 2000.

Charlotte

I’m SO late to this party but thought I would add a few that I didn’t see answers for plus some that I rode!

Radishes and Roses- Jamie Auletto
Art Treasure - Micky Sage
Spur of the Moment - Kate Balmer (when Mindy had him)
Hooten Hollows Hooten Annie - showed in her green year for Mindy
Stars and Stripes - I rode him as a green pony for Ashmont
Doll House One and Only - Kimberly Ostrander was her first owner
Shenandoah Sundowner - Megan Johnstone, then to Ashmont. I showed him some for Ashmont then Liza rode at indoors that year
Galen Verizer - Mark … blanking on last name, rode with Mindy
Prince Henry - Samantha Darling, Crystal Theisen
Casey Jones - I rode as a large when Emma had him, he was a blast to ride
Cest Moi - I rode some at the end of his career when Gary Duffy had him. Point and click!
Millbrooks Moonglow - I rode in her green year along with Courtney Donaldson. I believe Kate Balmer might have also ridden her some.
Turtle Express - showed for Marley some
Galen Mica - showed for Ashmont in 92 (Devon through Washington), Amanda Lyerly showed him for Marley at some point. He gave you the most amazing feeling over a jump.

So much fun reading that entire thread!!!

these may be repeats but:

silver bullet
pillow talk
highfield’s ever lovin
highfields fancy footwork
polaris starship
paragon
hot sox
bound to shine-laurel mullen?
what were the two large green ponies laura chapot showed at the same time? one was grey and the other roan?
set sail
unique

Many of these names sound familiar. I know only the ponies that showed up her in Toronto area (Canada). I am not sure if they are the same ponies?

Polaris Starship ”" Ryan Roy (passed away quite a few years ago)

Swan Song ”" Is this a very typey gray small? I think Lauren Hayes showed her up here.

Jordache ”" Is this a strawberry roan small? Cleophe Eaton (sp) showed him up here.

China Doll ”" Is this a beautiful gray large?

She’s Got Dots ”" Is this is chestnut large with small spots all over? Showed up here also

Turtle Express has been showing up here for several years ”" Did he always have that stop?

Rowfina Collage (sp) ”" Has been show up here for a couple of years recently

What about:

Pocket Rocket ”" a small grey. Ridden by Alexandria Eaton up here.

Marilyn ”" chestnut large, came from Gary Zook’s, was a very large large!

Call Me Monday ”" gray small, showed up here for a couple of years (’91-’92)

Gold River ”" small palomino, ridden by the Riley girls.

IMS–no way

Tuffy was a large, he was grey. I hadn’t seen him since late 1990 so I don’t know how white he got. He had some dapples left last I saw. Really nice mover, part arab/welsh so he had a cute typey head. Gee, I hope that wasn’t him. I 'll have to look for some pics of him to post.

I remember Shining Moment from when Laurel had her! What a freak talent that kid was! I idolized her. Anyone know where she is now?

What did/does Shining Moment look like? There was a medium by that name in Ohio and then for a while in Indiana about 6 years ago or so. If I remember right, this one was kind of a chestnut roan with lots of white, barn name Snoopy. Same one?

Megan Braid also had Hosanna.

Applause was Nikki Menges’ pony.

And Megan Gross had Streetwise.

Galen Verizer was Mark Fredrichs (sp).

I think Turtle Express is showing in the short stirrups in Zone II now, unless it’s a different one. I haven’t seen the short stirrup pony, just the name.

Does anybody remember Tuff Competition? My friend had him late 80’s & he had come from April something in OH at the time.

Was he a flea-bitten grey large pony? If that’s the same one, one of my friend’s owned him until he had a freak accident free lunging and had to be put down.

I’m late to the party too! I just read the thread and it was awesome!

I have more…

Hosanna
Applause

Dabble Do Ya is owned by Erin Stewart, we was leased to many other riders over the past few years. Last year to a girl in VA. He is a large paint and since he is only 13ish, and AV is in his mid 30’s, no way it is the same pony.

By my calculations, any pony that he showed, even in his last junior year, has to be at least 20 right now.

The pony i am talking about is VERY oldand is now turned out to pasture. Ive seen Dabble do ya and it is def. not the same one. I know this because our pony is in the pasture right now!

G.A. Barnes

Does anyone know what happened to the Theisen sisters Amber and Crystal? I haven’t seen them since we were Juniors.

yeah, i remember cinderella. i used to show her when pam had her. i loved riding her. she was a really sweet pony. a little sassy sometimes, but she’s a mare, so you have to respect that.

indy, yeah, laurel mullen’s shining moment is the same one you are talking about. she was a cool pony, and laurel did a wonderful job on her.

Hillary Sivitz started Tippy Hedren and Hedy Lamare.

How about Tim Sweeney, the trainer of Tippy Hedren and the Sivitzs. I remember he was banned from the AHSA in 1996/1997 when some of his horses and ponies had positive drug tests. Is he still around?

What ponies did Marley Goodman have? And who else had In It To Win besides her and Liza??

Pony Rock

I should add that Cookie Monster’s spots “faded” quite a bit. Go figure, you could just tell when he was clipped and very clean that he was spotted!

Ann changed Sport’s name from Daring to Fantastico. His barn name is still Sport. She was still showing him in the low jr/ao stuff last year and small mini prixs, not sure about this year. The last time I saw Catherine show Sport was during the Music City Grand Prix where he said NO WAY at the water jump so Catherine took a solo dive!

MKM, I remember Sport now. I didn’t realize he was the same Sport that Ann Crain has now. Last summer she was doing the mini-prixs and from what I saw she was doing really well. He’s really cute, and really fast. I haven’t seen him this year though. One of my really good friends works with Ann, and I’ll ask her to ask Ann how he is doing.

THANKS so much you guys!!! I am seriously going to buy a ticket to go home for memorial day weekend and SEE HIM!
DIXICHICK, please do find out about Sport, and I guess I can get their # in the phone book under Melissa Crain (do you know her dad’s name or if he lives with them?) THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU.
ya’ll don’t understand how much this horse means to me as he was the first and only horse that I really brought along from nothing to something. And yes, he is FAST! (Northern Dancer is his grandaddy)
That’s funny that he dumped Catherine, good for him! (oops, was that out loud?)
