What a pretty girl. She sounds perfect.
What a darling!
She’s adorable.
She’s a doll, incredibly gentle with their cats, and has not put a foot wrong. Slept with my mom under the covers starting from the very first night. They feel so LUCKY to have found her.
And someone I’ve been emailing/calling with no reply for 2 months just replied to a month and a half old unanswered emailed to tell me that she has a one puppy left from a litter than is available. I told her thank you but we’ve found a dog and she was snitty back?!
Your Dolly is very cute!
Congratulations.

LOL that is someone you could go through life without missing, I think. People are so weird.
Reminds me of when I called a fence company for an estimate to replace fencing around a 5 acre pasture. No response. I eventually found someone else, they did the work, we were happy. Then about 3-4 months later, I look out to see a truck in my driveway and someone scoping out my property. I walk out and the guy says “I’m here to give you an estimate. So you want to take this fencing down and replace it?” Um…no. Idiot.
The poodle is beautiful - what a perfect ending to your search!

A puppy that has already had all her sh*#$ is the one that I want![/QUOTE]
Hahahaha! Just saw this and need to edit my post. I’m just wondering what it says about me that auto correct assumed that was the word I wanted!
What a beautiful girl! Now if I could just find an older version for my mother…

I will let you know if I hear of anything. Honestly this dog is so soft and well mannered, you would never guess she’s young. If your mom can find one like this (older “puppy” age) she might be fine with that. My mom and dad are already completely smitten!
I’m so happy it’s working out so well. I love it when a plan comes together!

HOW DID I MISS THIS??? She is beautiful! I assume Dolly and her new family are at home now. How are things going?

I am so happy that Dolly has a new home and she is sleeping in bed with your Mom (as it should be!). Blackie is doing better every day with his house training. I don’t think I would trust him “unsupervised” all night long yet, so he still goes into his small carrier for nighttime sleeping. He has nearly doubled his size, height-wise and he weighs 11.5 pounds, up from about 6 when we brought him home.
Oh this is a wonderful story about a sweet little dog who has a loving home, being treated like a little princess.

Bumping for another photographic update…

This dog is SUPER. I am so glad we ended up with her!!!
Adorable! I just went to look up this thread for info on breeders, and what a pleasant surprise to find a photo update!

Hello Dewey, I see from your profile that you are in SE Georgia. Richard Bohannon is near Asheville and it would be well worth your drive to see puppies when he has them. Our Blacky who came to us at 8 weeks is so good! And Dolly, who went home at the age of 9 months with the OP’s parents, is apparently a “real doll”.
Our veterinarian is very impressed with Blacky and has remarked more than once that he is a real quality dog. We are just happy that he is exactly what Richard told us – very bold and fun loving, not shy at all. We wanted him for our five year old son so that he would have a fun, playful puppy/dog that was smart, easily trained and did not shed (that part for me!). Blacky can go and go and go and go and go and in an instant, can switch it off and cuddle on the couch with me. He is too big for showing which is why we have him vs. him being sold as a show dog.
I have no connection with the breeder except to say that based on Blacky and Dolly, I do highly recommend him!

Dolly is a real quality dog as well and aside from going oversize very much show quality. Highly recommend Richard’s breeding program
Does she have a full tail, or does it just look like it in the picture?
If she does - hoorayy! I love tails (and ears) :).
Dolly has a docked tail. I would leave it natural myself but it was done before we got her as a puppy. She was intended for show so I don’t think leaving it was a really viable option
I’m not usually a big poodle person, but Dolly is lovely! What a kind face.
