Hopefully your little one is here by now Dreaming! Good luck!!
drmgncolor - fingers crossed for you!!! Hope your little guy is here by now!!!
Go Dreaming!!! Glad that moon worked some magic for you! Canāt wait to hear how you and the lil mister are doing
drmgncolor I hope things went well overnight and your little guy has made his arrival!
Nickelodian, sending you all of my best wishes for a comfortable recovery and a staff of doting nurses I delivered last November with a similar ābirth story.ā We came within a hair of separately losing both myself and my newborn son. 10 days of recovery including ICU, NICU, diagnosticsx100, labsx1,000, mere minutes of time spent with my baby until days into motherhood.
I vividly recall the fear and the elation, plus riding that devil of a post-delivery hormonal rollercoaster bedridden without a baby in arms. Please feel free to PM me if you want a BTDT ear. Now or ANY time in the future; there is no expiration date on the struggles that result. The experience is beyond trying and traumatic and you could use all the support you can get! Lots of love for you, baby and family. You are in my thoughts.
Hoping you are still doing well (as well as can be expected with an 8lb+ human fighting its way out) and back to deliver great news soon
Show Gypsy and Akhunterrider, life is so terribly unfair. I am unbelievably sorry for your losses and your pain. I will hold out all of the hope Iāve got you regain your strength and are blessed again in the future.
Nickelodian, glad you and baby are safe. Iām 34wk with placenta previa, and stories like yours are why I personally would never choose to give birth outside a hospital! Good luck to everyone!
I realized today that I only have ten weeks to go and it scared the bejesus out of me! Hoping for some happy updates from those on the other sideā¦

Iām due around dec 15! We arenāt ready at all either. We just moved in to a brand new house 2 weeks ago, so it seems like we havenāt even had a moment to focus on baby-prep, but now that we are starting to get settled, Iām getting the itch to nest. So much to do, so little time!!
Quick update on me: things never progressed and after almost 24 hours of labor, a very healthy 8lb, 4oz little man was delivered via c-section at 11:58 pm, Monday the 28th. Within 2 hours after recovery where I successfully breastfed for the first time, I ended up back in the hospitalās main OR under general anesthesia for renal issues.
We are being discharged from the hospital later today and although my pain/comfort levels arenāt super awesome, Iām looking forward to just being home, in my own bed, and with my dogs.
Ilmjumper-I need an update from you, missy. Youāve been on my mind and I hope all is well.
Popping in from mommy hood
The pain from complicated c sections does get better. We had a 3 day labor, emergency c section and myself and baby almost crashed. We were well on the mend by 2 weeks. Here we are at 4 months and loving every minute! https://instagram.com/p/8Tc32EoZCV/
Take it easy new moms and enjoy the ride
drmgncolor - Congrats!!!
Against All Odds - what an adorable photo!!! Glad to here you are well and enjoying motherhood!!!
I am currently 18 weeks⦠I think I might of felt a few kicks but I am not sure⦠It felt like a muscle twitch to describe it. Only felt about 5 to 6 times total in about a week. I have constant cramping. Do any of you experience this? My ob says it is normal, that it is just muscles/ligaments stretching. But it is constant. On my last check up every thing looked normal. I didnāt have an ultrasound but they checked the babyās heartbeat and all was normal. I just scheduled my big 20 week ultrasound for Oct 14th!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!
drmngncolor - congrats! Scary that you had to go under general anesthesia and have another surgery so soon after the c-section! I am glad that you are doing better now and have a healthy baby.
JLC- I too had a lot of cramping around that time. I thought it was babyās movements but it was hard to tell, because it kind of felt like gas or period cramps. Now I am 26 weeks and that has subsided. Now I feel babyās movements more distinctively - it feels more like what I expected and isnāt uncomfortable or painful (usually).
CRTXLaw - good to know that I am not alone with cramping. It scares me a little. Absolutely feels like menstrual cramps.
Congrats drmng! Sucks things didnāt go āas plannedā but so happy youāre going home soon with your little guy!

So glad to hear from you, Iāve been thinking about you and your lil dude, hoping everything was OK! Happy to hear theyāre letting you go home soon⦠Everything is better at home!
Iām still waiting having pretty rough hip/lower back pain today so maybe soon? If not weāre inducing Monday⦠Still not sure how I feel about that plan so really hoping something will happen this weekend!
Dreaming that must have been terrifying, so glad you and baby are OK and going home!! Get some rest and hopefully youāll be feeling better in no time!
JLC you and I are on same schedule. Iām also experiencing light cramping from time to time, just saw dr. today who said as long as itās not strong or a certain cycle or more than 4 times in an hour (none of which mine is) it should be fine. Could be dehydration, muscles expanding, etc. Also we had our ultrasound today and found out weāre having a BOY!! DH and I kinda already had a hunch, so no surprises there. As best we can tell everything looks good so far, so hoping for a good next 21 or so weeks
Jumper hang in there, hopefully baby will come soon (And uneventfully!)
Nick, not sure if you are still checking in but hope you and baby are doing better!
Labor!!! Take the pain meds ladies horrible back labor and a long delivery, but weāre tracking now!
Yay labor! And yes to pain meds.
