Well the hunter jumper dressage show world in Alberta ain’t in the “sticks” with many showing down in Florida, CA and Europe for the winter (and having Spruce in our back yard we are actually a well versed group on the jumper world including Florida!)so I doubt I’m the only one that know about her and what she’s currently doing! LOL actually I know she’s ticked a few of us off after she took a bunch on on FB LOL
BUT, yes, the mane event, is mainly attended by people local to it not from far and wide unless GM himself makes an appearance like a few years ago. I will assume from what I’ve seen, that she has NOT been actually "invited " to attend though and has just decided to “show up” LOL
Plus she’s from Alberta and it sounds like she wore out her welcome there some time ago. But I’m guessing that if she turned up in another Canadian city and had a plausible line about trying to start up a blog on some aspect of the local scene, someone or other would take up the offer without knowing the back story. And live to regret it.
The dressage community in Canada is VERY small. Given that SW has burned her bridges with most of the Canadians who have any real influence in the sport, I don’t see much of a future for her business here

I would assume reporters aren’t considered to be making money at the location in which they are reporting. She may claim she is reporting on Canadian interests.
VIdeo’ing at the Mane Event is expressly forbidden (of the clinics). I hope she respects that, or if not, I hope she is stopped.
I might know her name now, but I wouldn’t know her to see her…I imagine that is true of many people. She may try to rebrand herself.
anyone can start a blog/vlog/call themselves an equestrian journalist and start a fb/twitter/www page
but without serious contacts, or at least have a horsey/competition Reputation built up over years one is going to have to spend up big Advertising / Sponsoring just plain swamping every horsey forum/saddlery/internet page slightly related to horses to get known.
she’ll manage to con a few horse mad teenagers with paypal accounts, but i doubt enough to support her in the manner she wants to be. then of course she runs the risk of dealing with an irate parent after they discover their son/daughter has been conned…
btw, 14pages of basically every single cother in agreement on a subject - that alone should be submitted for Miracle status! - if that doesn’t tell you that there’s nothing remotely Fragrant about the rancid stink emanating from her (wachowich), then maybe you deserve to be conned by her.

she may claim to be in canada, but her internet footprint, not to mention border control will claim something else altogether!
let alone a quick trip through her own facebook page. LOL

She has a black eye, but you can get a good sense of who/what she is.
that video of her slandering sj re the curb chain taped to a cavesson is minutes long.
the camera is barely 2feet from her face for all that time.

. We can spend 6 mths less a day per year in the States and then have to return to Canada ! And we are not supposed to work at all without a valid work permit… I’d assume this would include “blogging” as it sure includes working on friends private property LOL (ie, no helping them paint, fix anything!!!) So either she has been able to get a valid permit, she’s a US citizen or she’s , ahem , under the table! (If she’s renting and blogging from that rental I’m not sure how on earth she could say she’s not working illegally???)

I have tried 4 times and am giving up on attaching a screen shot of SW on her dressage facebook page. I am speaking of the top photo and I believe it is she riding. Is the rider in proper position? I know very little about dressage but enjoyed watching my trainer (she rode dressage, tried to teach me jumping) in classes 50 years ago and was intrigued by the unseen cues and the unity of horse and rider. The horse in the main photo on the SW facebook page appears to me to be agitated and tight. Is this the horse she rode in FEI or did she use a SJ horse? Just curious

Had to reactivate my COTH login just to post here! Can’t believe you’all are so exercised about someone everyone (who is anyone) knows is a joke, wannabe nobody here… I do feel very badly for SJ and did message her that I am frankly embarassed to be breathing air that that POS used to breathe. But yes a few $$ and apparently some kind of connections got her an entree into somewhere that she didn’t have any business to be. . Mane Event? kind of like a country fair multi discipline venue with a bunch of vendors… Actually I was there yesterday for the first time in forever. Shannon Dueck is the dressage clinician this year… Will be watching D Hubbub for vids haha…

Ah, right, I forgot she’d also come to blows with the entire Canadian contingent of top level competitors. And I too wondered if she’d run into visa trouble. Illegal aliens run a big risk if they talk to the police about anything.
I think she was just attending the Mane Event.
But my larger point was, when you run up against someone like this it seems like everyone knows, but outside of the directly affected, no one is paying attention. I only know because of COTH, and because my schedule calmed down enough this month to follow this thread and Google. The Canadian angle interested me, without that I’d probably have skimmed the thread and stopped following.
People follow most blogs and FB pages very casually, and pay no attention if the site gets weird, so probably even s lot of people following her haven’t paid enough attention to notice.
Just thinking that if she targeted a different part of the horse community, the herbal supplements or back country riders or cutesy jewelry or recycled bedding or barefoot trimmer or ground work guru or any other niche or small business, she could start fresh. I don’t know that she would, since it’s not as glamorous as dressage. But I could totally imagine her glomming on to a smaller regional vendor of something and selling her marketing skills, etc.

As I noted in another thread, my dressage friends back in Alberta called her Wackywitch before she flounced off to Florida as she was God’s gift to the dressage world and way too good to be “stuck” in Alberta/Canada.
Back in Alberta? Maybe immigration caught up with her? shrug

I really hope that nobody actually called the Mane Event horse show and tried to get her banned. [edit], and as horrible as she has been to SJ, the Canadian dressage team, and pretty much everyone else, that’s a bit much.
She claims that she was banned from the showgrounds so went snowboarding instead.
Why would anyone do that? She is literally a nobody hahahaha seriously, that didn’t happen.
I am certain this is all drug-induced wishful thinking.

Didn’t someone up thread say video taping clinicians at the Mane Event was not allowed? If she tried that then got into a fight with a staff person, that would do it.
I don’t see how you could ban a member of the public from attending. You pay your ticket fee, go in past the door, return the next day with your armband. No one would know who you are and I doubt the ME would pay any attention to another member of the public calling in what woulf serm to them like some weird incomprehensible complaint about a FB feud.
She said she attended one day. So either she did something wrong that day that got her booted out. Or she realized that all her former BFFs from Edmonton were attending in a posse or riding in a clinic. Or she realized there wasn’t any glam to schmooze among the cowboy art, handmade bosals, and hay delivery companies.
Now I love the Main Event! But it’s never going to make a post on Live Awesomeness unless you are making gang signs or duck face selfies in the deluxe LQ gooseneck and maybe not even then.
Or maybe she decided she can monetize snow boarding more easily than horses, or at least without anyone knowing her track record.
