I have removed the family names from my post and ask that anyone who copied my post, remove it also. This SW person is troubled. It is evident from her actions. Stating what she has done is helpful to setting facts straight. Embellishing with snide, sarcastic and cruel remarks brings us down to the level of the perpetrator and hurts the family. It may deeply hurt SW also, perhaps more then we can know. I am sorry to have offended anyone. It was supposed to be a reminder that what we say and how we say it can hurt the innocent. Can we hold mentally challenged persons to the same ethics and moral responsibility that the fully competent ascribe to?

Well, yeah probably too much info, though any Google for the name and city turnd up a latge family with some very respectable prominent folks.
But alsol nteresting in that it puts some context to SW’s deluded need to prove herself atba high level in sport. Also btw posters up thread have mentioned SW complaining on line about family dysfunction (stated more dramatically thsn that). And clearly she is being supported by family money in some way.
Now it’s possible if it’s a trust fund that the family has no effective control over what she does. I see that SW has virtually no presence on her mother’s FB feed so I think we can assume they are staying at a distance from her drama. So probably info on her parents is TMI but it does fill in some blanks.

Scribbler, your deductive reasoning may also explain why Susan Jaccoma is handling “this” in such a class act manner. I have to say, I admire SJ more for her character than her superb riding.

Heads up that she has your FB post on her personal page and says she deliberately stole the picture to cause trouble and you fell for it. She also says that you are bullying her on COTH under an alter. She is claiming to have had permission from the photographer to use the picture, that it isn’t a copyright violation anyway because her lawyers say it isn’t, and threatening to machine gun down anyone that supports her bullies.

Oh, do share this screen shot with the photographer and Mane Event. I think it’s for the best if the local community finds out sooner rather than later what she’s all about.
It’s interesting that despite what legal action SJ took, the offensive posts of the video, commentary, and noseband are still on SW’s FB page. I’m assuming that any cease and desist order made in the US is pretty hard to enforce in a foreign country, so that returning to Canada may have been a way to duck that.
Interesting, much less is now visible on SW’s public part of her FB page. Including the post mentioned above, and much else that was up there yesterday. I draw the line at actually friending her follow this trainwreck!

To see it all you’d have to go to her personal FB page, or to Diane Creech’s, who got roped into it bY speaking up against SW. I have a couple of screen shots but can’t seem to attach them.
It seems she had some beef with Jill Irving and Brittany Fraser - who knows why exactly - and she then went on a bit of a rant saying they and others had “bullied” her for years, that Jill “attacked” her, she said the Canadian dressage riders are “assholes and giant bullies” and all this got worse when other riders - both Canadian and others, stood up for the riders in question.
A lot of it followed her usual pattern - posting an unflattering pic of Brittany that was literally one second frozen from a video, gloating and even taking credit for it when Brittany had a less than perfect ride in the GP freestyle…never mind that this ride, her lowest score of the season, was still a 68 on a stunning horse who was very up and distracted.
I started a thread here here about it at the time because up to that point I had never heard of SW and had assumed DH was an actuall, credible site and couldn’t believe what I was reading there. After several people confirmed the long pattern of this behaviour from her I deleted my post but still got an email from SW months later accusing me of “committing liable” by starting the thread. Nope, not a typo, she spelled it “liable” three times in one message :lol:

She really is a whole other level [edit] isn’t she? So she had “permission” to use the photo but decided to “steal” it on purpose to cause a fuss? W T actual F is her deal? And if I hear her say one more person is “bullying” her I might scream. That list has to be a mile long by now. I wonder if she every stops to realize the common denominator, and possibly the real problem, is her.

Did she delete her claims about being banned from Mane Event, since they have been proven false?
What does not make sense to me is that she checked in at the Mane Event and stated she met a “super fan” and was planning on filming and then the next day says she was never there in the first place. If she is going to post her life on Facebook and make it public for everyone to see, at least she could get her story right. This just adds on to the many list of things that proves there is something not quite right with her.

As of yesterday that was still up in public view. As was the SJ tongue video.
Deletinnvg is a good sign. It means she retains some ability to think about the consequences of her actions, which is an improvement. But so much innocuous stuff also disappeared that I wondered if she just changed the privacy settings?
Could be. I don’t know why she keeps her personal account wide open and posts all her dressage drama there. You think she’d at least want to drive the train wreck traffic to her business page where At least clicks count for something
Now there’s a video of “superfan Paula” on the DH Facebook page, asking people to criticize her ride under the guise of encouraging viewers to “develop their eye.” Based on one of the comments it looks like she took this video from the rider’s own YouTube page without permission and without the rider asking to be publicly critiqued. Is it a stretch to guess the rider is our @PaulaM from above and SW is trying to get some kind of revenge for Paula blowing the whistle regarding SW’s Mane Event tall tales and photo stealing episode? How is any of this beneficial or educational to the dressage community?

Yes its her way of getting back at the person who called her out for taking a photo from the Mane Event and posting it without permission. So now that person is going to be critiqued mercilessly by the arm chair posse there. She’s done this before.
Its all tall tales and deception.
Someone needs to put a stop to this woman. She’s using her platform for nothing but drama and nastiness.

Well, I think SW just decided to declare war on the local community. If you complain about my antics, I will publicly misrepresent you and try to shame you.
That said, the ride video is not embarassing. Rider had a lovely horse that seems green, and is in a clinic to help improve things. The clinicians comments would have helped us understand what was going on.
Most importantly the rider is riding and has a very nice horse.
Stealing and rebranding videos is tacky, and should be illegal, but I realize that at these very low depths of the Internet with very little at stake in the way of revenues, and only about 5 people paying attention, there probably isn’t anything much to do about it.
How ever the Canadian horse community is very small and I doubt she can do more than run rather marginal personal vendettas. She isn’t going to get any sponsors or traction here, getting off to such a bad start on almost her first day in the country. And it sounds like she doesn’t ride at all now.
She really is a piece of work.
