Riderless horse in Eastern CT looking for 1/2 Lease

[edit]

Riderless horse in Eastern CT

Riderless gelding available for 2-3 rides per week in the Windham/Coventry area.

Late teens 16.2 hand TBX gelding, sound, fit and healthy. Safe and sane. Well schooled in lower level dressage, jumps 2’6-2’9, goes XC. Fancy mover with comfortable floating gaits. Big stride. Excellent on trails and hacking in fields alone or with company. Not spooky or flighty. Has trail ridden and hunter paced all over New England. He is more of TB type ride so does need a fairly quiet rider but is uncomplicated and forgiving. Would not be suitable for a beginner but would be a great match for a quiet low intermediate Adult Amateur that wants to do some Dressage and trail riding. Available at a great adult barn with indoor, outdoor, trails, XC and fields to hack in. Ideally I would like to find someone that would like to do a partial lease.

Riderless Horses in Berryville, VA

We are a small private barn in Berryville, looking for the right rider for several of our horses. We have everything from a 3yo “green bean” looking for a rider to give her saddle time to a 15yo made training level/hunter jumper large pony looking to be schooled/shown and sold. We do primarily dressage but have a few h/j prospects. We DON’T have buckers, rearers or generally bad horses, they are solid citizens who need saddle time. We are the breeder of all of them. Looking for quiet hands, soft/solid seat and patience. All of the horses are for sale, but we do visit “A” shows regularly to get them out and experienced. References required.

Horseless Rider in NC

Located in Winston Salem and currently searching for my perfect horse but would love to work on someone’s project in the meantime. Fluffy, and 5’10 so the horse has to be up for more than a junior or petite lady rider. Riding for 20 years off an on, patient secure seat, light hands, worked with rehabilitation cases. Work nights so days are open.
Most comfortable in huntseat and HJ. Looking for light hack 2-3 times a week. Can also help your horse get back in shape after the snowy winter.

Semi Horseless in Tucson, AZ

I’m 33, been riding since age 5. Most of my experience is in eventers (to CCI**-long format), 3rd level dressage, and low a/o jumpers. I like OTTB’s. Have also been involved in combined driving, barrel racing, pole bending, and team penning. Willing to work with troubled/ green or otherwise. Older college student trying to stay fit.

Riderless horse in Mount Airy, MD - Looking for partial lease/part board arrangement

Sweet, smart, willing 16.1hh, 6yo Morgan gelding at eventing barn in Mount Airy needs a rider. He has been shown at A-rated Morgan breeds shows in Morgan Hunter Pleasure and trail, but I am switching him to dressage and eventually, carriage driving and eventing. He has not been started o/f. He has not had consistent work since last summer so he’s a bit rusty. I have 2 jobs and am planning a wedding so I just don’t have enough time to ride more than twice a week right now.

Perfect manners on the ground but needs a confident rider u/s. Intermediate to advanced riders only. Very flexible schedule. Perfect for students or “weekend warrior” ammys. Can show or take lessons on if desired. I would prefer he stays at the farm where he is, but open to the idea of moving within Mount Airy depending on the place. PM me for pics and price.

Riderless/driverless horses in Tampa Bay area

Hello, I have pasos, driving minis, a driving shetland pony, a 16 hand horse who I used to work in dressage. I have only one butt, so I just can’t get around to them all.

I am a half-hour North of Sarasota and 45 minutes South of Tampa (West coast of Florida). I have an arena, but must trailer out to ride trails. I trailer out about once a week.

All are well-mannered. No-one kicks/bites, pulls, etc. I am not looking for rank beginning riders. My horses are not old and lazy. They do need riders who are comfortable when riding a horse with a big engine.

I am not looking for someone who comes out and I tack up, supervise, cool out, bathe and put away and all the other work that horses entail. This is not a rental/lesson barn with no fee. (Had someone like that and will not start that again.)

I am looking for someone who is interested in building a relationship with one/more of my horses. I don’t have time to teach, or supervise every time, although I wouldn’t mind some company around here to ride with and would of course, be with you til everyone is accustomed to each other and things are going well.

The horses are at my home.

Anyone interested in helping me/them out?

Thanks for reading.

movo- wish you were closer, I know someone who would love that opportunity and she is awesome! good luck in your search…

HORSELESS-looking for pony Ontario Central East

Hello, I am looking for a larger medium pony or large pony in the central east zone. I would like to get a lease or cheaper sale if possible, and bring the pony to the barn I am currently at. I would like to show, any level, as a hunter. If there is anything that sounds like this, please let me know!
Thanks.

Horseless Rider Central VA / Northwest IL

I am currently attending college in Lynchburg, VA and would be available on weekends to ride, until the first week in May.

What I am REALLY looking for is something for the summer within 50 miles of Elgin, IL. I need something big (at least 16hh) . I am looking for a hunter/jumper who is capable of doing the 2’9s with me and can possibly progress to 3’0+ with me. I am a very confident flatter and a little nervous over the jumps, so I need something that doesn’t really have a stop in it. Preferably I would like something with experience, nothing super green.

If you have ANYTHING in my area, please let me know ASAP!

Riderless horse in Mullica Hill, NJ

I have an amazing older TB gelding who has recently come back from a long term lease. He’s 21 years old, but not an old horse by any means. His name is Hawk, and is a grandson of Secretariat. He has a good amount of energy and enjoys working. He is very quiet and easy to ride. He’ll go walk, trot, canter and can do poles and small flower boxes. He is no longer allowed to jump due to some old racing issues that popped up, but he is serviceable sound with some joint supplements. He’s 16.2 hands and a chestnut. He has packed people who have never ridden around the ring and the trails. He’s a good boy and easy enough for a dead beginner, but I’d prefer at least an advanced beginner that will be able to catch, tack, and ride safely on their own without needing much supervision. He was doing training level dressage and schooling laterals before his lease. He’ll need a tune up but could easily go back to the dressage work. He’d also be happy enough to do some hunter, equitation, pleasure flats at the horse shows or just hack around the farm.

His rider will have access to ride in the indoor and outdoor arenas. Concrete barn aisle and hot/cold wash stall. I’ll supply all supplies and tack. Plenty of room to ride out of the ring as well. We are 10 minutes to a lot of local shows, 4-H events, as well as rated horse shows. I’ll be attending some of those shows as well as trail rides at Fair Hill and maybe a trip to the beach in the fall. There is always an open spot in the trailer for Hawk. No trailering fees. Lessons are available, or your trainer (with approval) is welcome.

I’m offering him for a “free” lease, but the leaser would be responsible for his costs (about $300 a month) which covers the fee for his stall, shoes, and half of the grain and hay costs.

Looking for afternoon lessons in Muskegon, Michigan for a person who needs one heck of a confidence boost. I’m 24, and would really like to get going with riding again. I go to school at Baker College, and am going to have a long break between classes on Tuesdays, so I figured some horse time would be awesome.

Note: I’m 180ish pounds, so a stouter horse would probably be better for me. Also, I’m not the richest person ever, so less expensive would be good.

Riderless TB in Culpeper/Madison County Va

14 year old 16.2 tb gelding needs an experienced rider. Loves to jump and ride out, also good in the ring. PM for more info!

HORSELESS in the Bay Area!

Hello all! Just wanted to stick this out there:
Horseless rider in the Bay Area-more specifically Portola Valley area (home from abroad end of April). Working student experience, currently no finances left for horses due to college expenses. 20 years old but very short (5’) so can ride all of the ponies! In the past have schooled up to 3’6" but more recently around 3". I love to hack around, shoot-even handwalk!

A-circuit experience in 3" jumpers and low AA hunters, and a very strong desire to ride and work hard. Finances limit leasing anything, but I am more than willing to work for riding time. I’ve ridden stoppers, lazy horses, and a few green beans here or there. I’ll clean stalls, tack-anything.

Please PM me if you’ve got anything in the area at all :).

Horseless rider- San Diego, CA

I just finished my master’s degree and have moved back to San Diego. I’m currently looking for a job and funds are a little low. I’d love to keep my riding muscles up and find a new barn to ride at.

I’ve ridden hunter/jumpers my entire life, and have shown on the ‘A’ circuit (though not a lot). I’m currently a little out of shape, but have been riding consistently until last week (when I moved). I have shown up to 3’6" in both hunters and jumpers. I also rode sales horses for two trainers in the past several years.

I’d love any opportunity to ride, and will ride most anything. I’m a taller/bigger rider, so I usually do better on slightly larger horses. However, I’m willing to try most anything as long as it’s safe for the horse and for me!

2 riderless horses, bucks county PA

Trying this again. Actually not quite riderless, they have to share me! 2 nice OTTB’s. Need a rider with a good seat, I don’t care what discipline you came from as long as you are flexible about learning. I event and dressage.
I would like to half lease or will trade work for riding. Work being things like clean my poor neglected tack, bathing, or a show groom would be super! I could give you lessons. (I’m not an actual trainer but I could help you and give you exercises my trainer gives me.)
