GEORGIA: (Coweta County)
I have a 15 year old student who would love to have a horse of her own. Her Mom died last winter, and right now, her Dad isn’t doing well either. She is just the sweetest kid ever, and just wants to have a horse of her “own” to ride. She likes to show as well, but just at the local schooling shows, and 4-H shows. She’s rides hunters, so would want a horse to jump, but it doesn’t have to jump the moon, or be a 10 mover. She’s patient, and never complains, even though the horse she is currently riding (not at my barn) dumps her pretty much every day.
She needs something at least 15.2. I would call her an intermediate rider, though she doesn’t get intimidated, so even a little hot is OK. The horse would stay at Shady Creek - probably pasture board for now, but fed twice daily, and blanketed in the winter. It’s also OK if the horse needs some tuning up.
We’d really like to keep the costs down, so barefoot would be great.
Thanks!
