Riderless Horses and Horseless Riders--matchmaking service!

Maybe you could exercise the horses at Thorncroft.

Horseless Rider in Boulder/Denver, CO area

Hi!
I recently moved back to Colorado from the big city o’ LA (read: waaay too expensive to have horses!), and am eager to get back to my first love: riding.

I’m in my 30s, have been riding most of my life, am super mellow, very quiet, light hands, gentle seat - hunter/jumper background.

I did lots of A/A hunter/jumper showing back in the day, but am looking to have some quality time loving on and riding horse(s) whose owners may not have the time to devote, or perhaps a horse that needs some rehabbing or special attention, or maybe one that just needs to stay fit and sound.

I’m 5’7", kind, fit, experienced and absolutely adore horses!

Horseless Rider in Raleigh, NC area

I’m looking for something to hack in the North/East Raleigh area. I have close to 20 years of riding experience, but have been out of the saddle consistently for a good 6 months or so.

I have soft hands, a fairly light seat and good basics in dressage and flatwork. I’ve worked with tons of greenies in my time and love working with the older guys too. I am kind, positive, fair, and give tons of praise to a horse if it tries.

I am 30 years old, 5’6" and just want a pony I can treat like my own. I promise I will give it lots of carrots, grooming and one-on-one time!

Please either pm me on here or email me at juby2be@netscape.net!

Horse needs Rider-Athens GA

Young, athletic, good natured horse needs a rider. Someone to come ride at my place (convienant to UGA, Monroe area, Watkinsville, etc) or would consider a off site lease to appropriate (and local) home. Horse is 15.3, very quiet natured, but green. W/T/C willingly and with ease. Cross country schooled at several different sites through novice. A very brave and athletic jumper. He is ready to start going out and showing, pony clubbing, eventing, whatever! Would like for a capable junior, teen or adult, who can enjoy him and play with him to have the opportunity.

Riderless horse Columbus, OH

7 year old, will be 8 in May '12, thoroughbred gelding 16.2hh. Hunter/jumper focus. Extremely athletic and great jumper, would be great for an older teen, college student, or adult looking for a bit more challenging ride. Stabled in New Albany. I’m currently in school at Ohio State and just need some more time for my school work. A half lease would be ideal, but I’m flexible. Please email me at jeung.6@buckeyemail.osu.edu for more information!

My sister does not post on the forums but is looking for a ride in VA. She is at JMU in Harrisonburg, VA. We are looking for a riderless horse in the surrounding areas.

19yo College Student with about 10yrs of riding experience looking for a horse to ride. Has experience in HJ. Did not bring horse to school with her and would love to find something to ride once or twice a week. Open to an affordable half lease.

Please let me know if you know of anything that fits the bill and needs some exercise!

You have a PM!!

Horseless Rider in the Philly area

I just moved to about 15 miles outside Philadelphia for grad school and am looking for anyone that may need a horse ridden.

I’m 22. 4’10 and built tiny so I can ride any size pony. Love working and handling ponies. Been riding all my life mostly greenies and babies, did hunter-jumpers in college.

Would love to get my horse-fix or if anyone knows of a good place for lessons.

East Bay CA Horseless Rider

I recently moved to the East Bay and would to give a few hours a week to a horse that is looking for some attention! I have previous experience riding at an intermediate level. I am a bit rusty so would prefer something to just hack out on or even just do some grooming. Willing to travel up to 25 miles one way (carshare). Only available weekends unfortunately, possibly Monday evenings. I’d love to hear from anyone in the East Bay (Berkeley/Oakland/Walnut Creek) area even about other horsey things to do!

Feel free to PM me for my email and/or more info.

Horseless rider in Denver, CO

I just moved to Colorado from Area II and am looking for something to ride until my horse comes in the spring. I’m a Graduate A PC’er, have evented through Prelim level, and am experienced with all stages of training. My Training-level mare I bred, broke, and brought along myself. Contact me if you have something that needs sitting on; I’d love to do it!

ETA…I’m small and can ride ponies.

Horseless rider in BWI area of Maryland

I’m not looking for a free ride - I’m willing to pay to ride, take lessons, etc. I do not have the time nor the cash to lease or own a horse at this point in my life. (FT job, kids, mortgage, etc…)

I’m looking for an eventing barn not too far from the BWI airport area that will allow me to take their horses to a few eventing type shows nearby. I have already looked into CHC and Reddemeade and they require a lease agreement to take their horses to shows. Not what I’m interested in at this time.

Anyone know of a place that will allow students to show their horses off-property??

Riderless horse in NE Florida (South of Jacksonville)

I have a 19 year old TBxWB gelding looking for a rider. He no longer jumps, but is a wonderful dressage and trail horse. He’s shown second level and has lovely, smooth gaits. He also is very laid back and loves to go for trail rides- the barn he is at has decent trails around it, nothing that long, but enough for an hour or so of trail riding. He does best with riders who know how to ride without riding too much if that makes sense- if you are steady and consistent with your legs, seat, and hands, you don’t need to do too much at all.

PM me if you are interested.

I have a cute, young, green Connemara/QH large pony that could use more saddle time if anyone wants to ride 1-2X a week in the Ocala, FL area. PM me if interested.

Horseless Rider in St. Louis

Horseless hunter/jumper rider looking for horse to hack and/or jump as many times per week as needed.

I have a green barely four year old holsteiner but am looking to gain more saddle time AND assist you. Very patient and takes extra time to groom, clip and hand walk out of my pure joy for horses.

Send me a note…am open to young or mature as long as relatively sane. ; )

Cheers!

Semi Riderless Haflinger

It makes sense, I promise!

Laddie is once again semi-riderless. He has to make due with me and my time between working my mare and, well, work. Poor boy deserves better than that! He’s a haffy with a lot to give! Wonderful on trails and in the ring (wonderful, but not perfect, he’ll make you work for what you get and I promise you will never hold it against him). Shown quite well on the local level this year, in English Pleasure flat and O/F (does best at 2ft, 18in is just not worth his haffy time) as well as in western timed events. Brought home two champions and one reserve.

He is still learning, so excluding lead line (he’s yet to put a foot wrong with a child atop him. Saved my daughter from a fall in her first clover leaf barrel pattern class), he is not for a rank beginner. Will test a rider’s resolve, and reward kind, patient consitency with his whole heart and effort.

Owner is recovering from extensive surgery and illness and I have only so much time for him between work and working my own horses. He deserves a person to dedicate time and attention to him alone.

Located just outside the Manassas Battlefield. Arena on property, trails within ride out distance as well as a short haul away. Trailering to parks and an indoor possible for reasonable rate.

Horseless Dressage Rider in Passaic County NJ

Hi there! I have recently relocated to New Jersey from Canada and did not bring any horses along. I am an experienced, classically trained dressage rider and am looking for a horse to ride. I have experience with breeds ranging from Arabians, to Thoroughbreds, to Warmbloods, to Friesans and even Spanish breeds. If you are interested in providing your horse with a little extra attention and exercise by a mature, very very horse passionate person - please PM me. Look forward to hearing from you if you would like any more details.

RIDERLESS FRIESIAN WARMBLOOD- NC (Dressage, eventing, driving)

h’ymk,ioBella has been in dressage training for quite af ew months and her trainer/rider is now working 60hrs a week and cannot continue. Bella has great lift and impulsion, and great movement!!She does not fight the bit and will make a super competator. She would be a super driving horse as well as a dressage, event , or foxhunter. She really shows great promise in dressage. She is sweet, gets along with all horses, is a clean slate- no bad training. Be nice to get her a new rider/trainer who might start to show her at some point. If she comes home, she will just become a trail horse and would be so useful to someone who wants a great looking hrose with super potential. VERY beautiful and flashy. No bad habits. Does best when worked regularly, a few times a week min. LOVES trails and is so much fun to ride. To the right home,I am willing to do a long freelease. She does not have to stay in NC, necessarily. References and photos of barn/pasture necessary. Email for more info, photos, and video.

This is probably a long shot - but worth a try. I’ve just relocated to Montreal to study. I have ridden for about 15 years, primarily in jumpers, and competed up to 1.3m level. Most recently I schooled a young OTTB up to jumping 1m confidently and successfully, before I had to sell him in order to move.

I’d love some in the saddle time, be it trail riding, schooling, jumping, anything! Let me know if you have anything reasonably close. Don’t have own transport but I could see what I could organize.

Horseless Friend in Jeffco AL seeks bombproof horse

I am posting this for a friend of mine who is looking for a bombproof horse to ride. Low-level dressage, gaited, rides mostly western now. She would love to exercise a quiet horse or large pony (something between about 13.2 and 15h), do arena work, walk trot, just to give both of them some exercise. Also loves grooming and hand-grazing! Please reply here or PM me.

RIDERLESS TBS, Montgomery, AL…Troy/Auburn students???

Four lovely young OTTBS need more under saddle time than two adult riders (with full time jobs) can provide! They are all well re-started, sane and safe. Would love a college student or anyone with enough experience with greenies to understand them. We are just south of Montgomery off Hwy 331.
