I am a competent adult dressage rider (schooling 3rd-4th level) that works full time with a professional trainer. My current competition horse has had an unfortunate stall accident and is likely to miss the current show season. I have 2 babies on the ground and am breeding again so would prefer not to buy a horse that is already going. I am an experienced adult rider looking to get back into the saddle 1-2 times per week. I previously rode h/j as a junior and then schooled green OTTBs for flat and started them over fences. I’m looking to help out with a horse that needs more saddle time, and am open to a half-lease. Due to my busy career and two small kids, I’m limited to weekends, but I love the greenies and am small enough (5’1, 97 lbs) to ride mischievous ponies who need a tune up.

Athletic, Show-Ready 5yo TB Mare in 5-College / MA area
I have posted her here before, but she’s a young horse and her credentials have changed once again!
Lovely 16.1 (but petite, I am 5’2’’ and fit perfectly) TB mare for an active rider. You don’t need to show (although I am willing to talk about splitting costs) but I do want someone who is going to be WORKING her consistently, not just hopping on for a hack, as she just loves to learn new things.
Had been in dressage training for most of 2013, and she is right now in MD with Steuart Pittman, where she is learning to jump and be an event horse. He has nothing but positive things to say about her.
I’m gearing her towards eventing, but she is quick and catty over jumps and would likely make a great jumper too. Her dressage work is solid and trainer says she will have no issues getting to 3rd on raw talent alone, and will go further if her heart is in the game.
She is coming back the end of January, until then I have plenty of photos and videos. Open to a variety of situations, really just want a driven rider to help me get her out and about and learning.
Riderless OTTB between Atlanta and Athens, GA
I’m looking for someone to give my 5 year old OTTB gelding some more saddle time. I’m able to come ride him on the weekends and maybe once a week, but he needs a lot more miles. Come ride as much as you want, especially if you are able to ride during the weekdays!
He’s currently doing well in basic dressage training, has a gorgeous canter and is a smart, fun ride. I haven’t jumped him yet, but I’m sure he’d love to try! He’s being ridden in a sidepull/hackamore at the moment and prefers it to a bit.
Barn is located in an eastern suburb of Atlanta, approx. 30 minutes outside of Athens. Barn is basic, but has a nice area for riding and lots of trails.

I am recovering from surgery yesterday and getting ready for another surgery on March 3rd that will keep me off a horse until mid-July. Horse is a senior citizen that would not do well with sitting for several months. He is as safe and comfortable as a horse comes. Let me know if you are interested and I will give you the details. Just made the tough decision that I will not be keeping the horse I have on trial. After owning horses for 10 years Ive gotten to a point that I cannot afford to keep my own anymore.

S AIKEN SC: LOOKING FOR RIDER FOR 3 PONIES
I have 3 nice ponies that have been shown at the local level here in SC and MD. One has done the rateds. Their rider has outgrown them and they need to be worked, shown and sold. Rider pays no fees . I am not looking for a “pony Jock”- I would really love to find a rider with enough talent to show them but really can’t afford a fancy pony and a lot of riding time. I hope some local trainers are reading this and thinking of some deserving kids. If this works out, there could be horses to ride in the future because not only has my rider outgrown the ponies, he has lost interest in the whole horse thing.

Horseless Rider in the Hampton Roads, VA area. I showed hunters through high school and college but have been out of the saddle for the past year and a half during grad school. Before coming to grad school, I was a working student for a trainer in NC. I legged up her husband’s fox hunter, kept their show hunters in shape and ready for show season, and helped with her high school riding team. Worked for a summer teaching riding lessons at a girl scout camp. Will happily exchange barn work / teaching lessons for a chance to ride.
I’m not sure if leases are okay here but I have a dressage horse available for the right person to do an on-site lease in mid michigan. At the moment I am in college so I don’t have nearly as much time to ride him as he needs and I would love someone to help me keep him in shape and give him attention. He is a very talented 17hh Trakehner gelding. He knows all of his upper level movements- half pass, piaffe, passage, flying changes, etc. and likes to jump as well. There are many well known trainers available for lessons and I would be open to a leasor wanting to show him. There is a very large indoor and outdoor as well as lots of outdoor riding space and some trails. Price is negotiable as it depends on how many days the rider would like in the lease.
