Large pony ISO adult rider, southeastern PA

Very cute, well bred welsh/TB, 14.1h, 6 years old. He was started late but is straight forward and reliable w/t/c and started over fences. He occasionally totes around a timid intermediate adult and an older rider with osteoporosis - he is that reliable! Pony has weak stifles and needs to be in consistent work that he is just not getting. Lives at a private farm with only adult boarders, so another adult rider would probably be happiest. Would love to find a riding buddy to go to clinics, chases/paces, dressage tests, mini ct events and local low key hunter shows.

I have ridden for many years, owned several horses, and was taking lessons from an amazing trainer when I learned I was pregnant. I have not ridden seriously since, and that child is nearly 10 years old. I want and need to start riding again, but I’m wanting to be somewhere that also has a trainer on site who would be able to offer lessons. I need to leg-up again. I am most familiar with hunter/jumpers, but I am willing to also do other disciplines. Truly, just smelling and grooming a horse right now would make me smile. My last horse was a hot little TB mare, whom I adored. I am older and less in shape than I was back then, so maybe not a hot and spicy ride? I don’t mean dull, but it would be nice to not fear for my life. I can provide references as needed upon request.

Horseless AA Rider in DC Metro Area

I am looking for a horse to ride a few times a week (even once!) in the DC metro area (60 mile radius of Washington) - I have 20+ years of riding, grew up showing on the A circuit in VA and MD (3’, 3’3" - never quite had the Junior 3’6" horse) as a kid. I am currently riding and showing on the MHSA circuit with a barn in MD but would love to find a horse that needs some work and love during the week - hunter, jumper, eq horses are all in my skill set.

Free Lease:
2011 TB mare, never raced. She is lovely when in steady work, but right now is the last on the list and overlooked. Has some TB “moments” on the ground, but nothing unsafe.
W-t-c and with very little effort would be training level ready. We are a dressage barn, mare has never jumped. I’m really hoping to find a person to give her the attention she is missing. Kept at my dressage barn, May consider an off site lease to the perfect situation.

Hello, my name is Megan Warner. I have been riding since I was nine years old and I am now sixteen. Throughout my seven years of riding I have trained multiple inexperienced horses and have occasionally taught a few lessons. I have been competing in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association since I was in sixth grade, and just recently placed sixth in my class for zones. However, I have never had the financial means to compete in rated shows. I am hoping to find an owner or stable manager that has a horse, or horses, that need an exercise rider or someone to show them. I am very dedicated and love this sport no matter what the challenge. I am comfortable jumping whatever height is required, however at this moment I am regaining muscle after being unwell for several weeks so 3ft would be a more comfortable starting point at this moment until I have regained my full strength, which shouldn’t take more than one month. I have worked at barns helping out with feeding, mucking stalls, picking paddocks, and other responsibilities as well. My discipline is equitation/hunter-jumper. I’m a UT PhD student who is missing time in the saddle/around horses. I rode hunter jumper and competed locally in my hometown through elementary, middle, and high school, I rode on my college equestrian team doing flat, and I barn managed/taught walk trot lessons at a small camp for a summer. I am happy to ride anything and everything, even if it’s just exercising a problem pony once in a while. I would help out with barn work as well! I’m also very short so I don’t need a big mount.

Since it’s been a while since I’ve ridden, I would be great for rehabbing a horse or doing lots of flatwork.
