Lovely, sweet, sane QH gelding “guest horse” in need of an exercise program.

Ideal rider would advanced beginner or intermediate adult who could hack in the field a couple times during the week on their own and hack out with me on the weekends. (Lots of trail riding available.) Rider does need to be completely independent on the ground - catch, groom, tack up, work on flat, cool out and turn out safely and correctly with no supervision.

A strong rider could also hack my horse during the week.

He has competed in a schooling HT, CT, and jumper show. Always in the ribbons.

I am pursuing a Master’s degree and do not have access to a lesson barn or lease horse at this time.
I have been riding since I was 6 year old. Experienced in both English and Western riding. I prefer English riding.

I have a 15yr old Morgan cross gelding that could use a couple of extra rides a week. I just had a baby, so he’s been off since Feb, but I did get back on last week and he was doing well.
He has been ridden mostly dressage (schooling 2nd level), so prefer flat work only. He also hacks out alone or with other horses. He’s a fun ride, not for beginners though - he is sensitive and very responsive, so needs a quiet rider with some body control.
Boarded North of Cochrane at a nice facility with indoor/outdoor arena, fields and quiet side roads to ride out.

Buddyless trail rider in Woodside, CA

I hope this post is okay. I have a horse and trailer, just need someone to trail ride with! Preferably someone with a been there done that steady Eddie that can show my green horse the ropes! I’ve taken him out a few times, he is pretty good not spooky but can get a little anxious especially when we turn back towards home, so I would prefer not to ride out alone yet. Riderless Horses: Southern Maine

I have two horses and not enough time! One is a schoolmaster 16.3hh Irish gelding, the other is a greenish 15.3hh Appendix mare. Both jump, hack out alone or in groups, and have good ground manners. I’m trying to place the mare but haven’t had much luck or interest, even though she’s super cool and fun to ride.

EDIT: Also have a little red pony that needs taming/attention.

Edited to Add: If you have an interest in learning about or doing any of the following on willing and tolerant horses: connection, free walk, stretchy trot, leg yields, haunches in, turn on the haunches, shoulder in, extensions/medium work vs. collection, lead changes (on the two that have changes), pole work, cavaletti/grid work, hacking hills, etc. Perfect for someone looking for kind horses to ride, continue to expand their knowledge with, and enjoy time with. Horseless rider in Lansing, MI

I am a veterinarian who recently moved to the Lansing area, and had to leave my retired mare back home in New England for the time being. I have 20 years of riding experience. My experience has been varied, but my background is mostly dressage (showed through 1st/2nd, schooled 3rd). I was in Pony Club as a kid and have some H/J experience. Have also picked up a few rides on western pleasure horses and barrel racers over the years.

I am 5’6", but am small enough to ride a large pony (115 lbs).

I am very experienced; however, I had spinal surgery a few years ago and would prefer a smooth, steady-eddy type just due back pain issues. I am currently in a grad program, and do not have unlimited time, but would love to pick up a couple of rides a week.

Riderless horse in Central MA!

6 year old black mixed breed gelding, DNA test says Selle Francious but who knows.Hes aboit 15.1hands. Before I bought him he was a brave eventer, but I’ve been focusing on Hunter/jumper and dressage with him since I got him a year ago. Has never refused a jump with me, or thrown anyone off. Hes a calm cucumber.

I’m looking for someone to quarter or half lease him. He is not suited for a beginner because of his age, but he is very calm, so an advanced beginner/intermediate rider would be best for him. He is located at a gorgeous facility, huge outdoor and indoor, wash stall, heated bathroom and tackroom etc.

Riderless horse in DC area (Fairfax Station). 16.2 hh Thoroughbred gelding, 15 y/o (but occasionally thinks he’s 3). Looking for someone to flat him a couple times a week for me so I can have a few evenings off! Would prefer someone with an evening or dressage background as he’s apt to run around on the forehand if you just leave him to his own devices. :winkgrin: He’s a good boy but can have a silly spook in him once in awhile, so best not for an insecure rider.
