Horseless Dressage/Jumper rider needs a winter ride

My horse of 15 years passed away this fall and I am not ready for another. However, I still want to stay in shape for riding and I love riding in the winter (in an indoor, of course!). If you have a young horse, a problem horse, or simply a horse that could use an extra ride or two each week this winter, I’m here. I have trained/ridden to training level eventing, 4’ Jumpers, and Second Level dressage (in fact, there is an article by me in the Dec 08 Dressage Today if you’d like to get to know me more!). I am a smaller person (5’4 120ish Lbs) so I can work with ponies, too! I am a focused and patient rider who takes the time to develop good basics or refine a horse’s skills. I work full time, so I would be able to ride in the evenings or on weekends.

The filly is in Giddings, The story is she was a boarder for a friend who now doesn’t want the filly any more and wants to send it to auction. My friend is owed board and wants to take the horse for payment and find her a new home…If she stays where she is there is board to be paid opr she can possibly go free to a new home…

Horseless in Raleigh, NC

Student loans and a possibly layoff from my job by Christmas have caused me to re-prioritize my expenses. Hence I am horseless and I don’t want my saddle or skills to get dusty from lack of use.

I have been riding for 25 years, most of which was catch-riding pony hunters. I have ridden mostly hunters and equitation, though I did school a pony jumper from time to time.

I am small enough to still ride medium and large ponies, the brattier the better! I am also willing to ride bigger horses too, though. :lol:

My mother was a show groom and barn manager, so I was raised to give excellent care. I even clean my tack after every ride without fail!!

I would greatly appreciate any information anyone might have. Thank you!

I have a 14 year old TB gelding that could use a rider. Does up to 1st level dressage and maybe a little jumping. Needs at least an intermediate rider. Long trail rides would be most welcome though!

I am looking for somebody who would be interested in riding my TB gelding. I am expecting my first child in April, and won’t be riding/spending time as much as he deserves. He is a 13 y/o TB gelding, 16 h., calm and sweet but sensitive. He has some arthritis and does not get jumped anymore, and for the past year we have been working on dressage (about training level). An intermediate rider with a background in dressage would be best for him.

He is stabled in Manchester, MI. Indoor arena, outdoor ring and grassy field available to ride in. Please PM me if interested.

Onsite includes grass arena w/jumps. h/c wash stall.

Area barn (5mins away) has boarding opening w/indoor, outdoor and I’d consider letting them go there or some other barn in close vicinity (within one hour of 19709).

17.2h Holsteiner/Old 12yo mare. Level 4/5 jumper. Needs to be put back in work. Easy easy keeper. Easy ride for competent rider. Sound and sane.

16.2h 5yo Grey ISH gelding. Well started u/s. Needs finishing. Clean xc and stadium in first event. Easy keeper.

16h 4yo TB gelding. Well started u/s. Pokey type! Exc trail horse. Been over low jumps.

17.2h ISH gelding. Has evented. Clean xc every time. Looking for rider wanting to ride part time. Low level competitions possible. On site lease only.

Experienced riders only.

I am a novice dressage rider, but very much self-motivated and wanting to work my way up the levels. I currently am schooling an Appendix gelding with hopes to do Training level with him this spring. My ideal situation is to find an older school master type to ride, on whom I can increase my understanding and riding ability. Perhaps an older gentleman or lady who needs consistent, light work. SW Mich, N.Indiana, Horseless Dressage/Jumper rider

I posted before but wanted to add that I am close to Indiana as well as SW mich. My zip code is 49067. Mapquest it and we can work something out if you’re within 45 mins or an hour. I visit Kalamazoo often so around there would work.

I have A jumper wins, Second level dressage, and eventing experience. Trained OTTBs, arabs, and morgans, but will work with any horse. My focus is on dressage now but I will start horses over cross poles or work on jumping if needed. I’m looking for a horse owner who would like their horse excerised or tuned up with winter, free of charge. I am a quiet, fair, and balanced rider.
