Anyone need a pony to ride at Fieldstone?

I am going up to Fieldstone for the Jumper Division over Memorial day weekend. I am also bringing my 12.2 registered Welsh pony to get a USEF card that weekend. I have no riders to ride him that weekend.

If anyone would like their child to catch a free ride at Fieldstone (his trailering, stabling, lunging, and show prep will all be taken care of) please let me know. He is 6 years old, willing, and evenly tempered and very flashy. He’s been in professional training for 3 months. He is still green but is safe. He w/t/c, auto changes, and jumps around a course. He can be speedy, but what pony isn’t =) and will have a long warm up. Please message me ASAP if you are interested. Thanks

Columbus, OH horseless rider

Hello,

I am currently horseless in Columbus, Ohio. I have plenty of experience, having owned two horses and leased/free leased two others, and ridden dozens of horses over the last 6-7 years. That said, I do have fear issues stemming from some bad experiences that I have yet to fully get over (some day, hopefully!) I can handle most finished horses that are not hot or spooky, but as far as greenies or hot/spooky/temperamental horses I would not be your rider. Please email me at cu.at.x@hotmail.com as I rarely check this forum. Thank you!
P.S. I would be willing to travel as far as 45 minutes or so for the right situation.

Riderless Horse Alachua FL

I have two TB geldings and time for about 3/4 of a TB gelding.

13yr 16.2 hunter has a few miles on him, but finicky (he came home from track sound and pretended to be a brood mare until he was 9)

7yr 17+ looking for his true calling, could do anything anybody had the time to teach him

Ride one, ride the other, heck, ride the small pony if you want…

Riderless horse, Williamston MI, off I-96 east of Lansing

11 yr old unraced Tb gelding, 15.3-16.0h for dressage. Former show hunter with ribbons from WEF, no longer jumps as someone fried him trying to make him into a jumper. Super sweet personality. Sound & sane with confident, experienced rider. Dressage pro says he’d make a good dressage horse - nice gaits, athletic. College dtr has no time for him. No tack available except a hunter bridle with snaffle.

TB gelding York,PA

18 yr old TB gelding, sitting in my back yard. jumps anything you put in front of him. has been out of work for 2 years. needs front shoes to stay comfortable. has “forward” issues, so needs a strong rider. he could go with you. i only have a grass arena. Lisa

HORSELESS RIDER
Chicagoland

I may qualify as a re-rider by now. I love flatwork, rode H/J/Eq, showed plenty my junior years, did the intercollegiate thing, road youngsters and greenies in my 20’s, but have been on “hiatus”, and been riding off an on for the last ~5 years. If you let me suffer through 2 weeks of being wretched and weak and winded, I think I can be half way decent. Great sales pitch, eh?

Free Lease - sort of anyway…Adamstown/Frederick, Maryland

I have a mare who is ready to compete at recognized BN or N Eventing and I am looking to see if there is anybody out there interested in riding and competing her.

I am actively riding her however I am limited due to a neck injury. Tazz is a 15.3 hand Bay QH mare, not very flashy but very willing with a great mind and who loves to jump! I’d love to find somebody who is looking for a horse to ride and compete but isn’t at a point in their life to own a horse. Maybe a college student or young adult who can’t afford a horse right now? I am not looking to make any money from this. The only expense would be any shows you decide to go to.

Please email or PM me for additional information or questions. If I can’t find somebody then that’s going to be fine too, but you never know, there just might be somebody out there that fits our needs right now.

Bumping… because this thread does work!

Riderless horse on Long Island.

I know of a riderless horse (or two) on Long Island (Connetquot Park area). PM for details… Owner is not looking for any $ or work in return – just a competent, responsible English rider who is looking for saddle time. The right rider could ride 3 or 4 times a week if available on weekdays.

Hey, you LI’ers!!! Take this offer!!! When I lived there, I commuted out to shareboard on two horses by Connetquot and it’s the best. Miles of wide, sand paths. Dear, fox, quail, bobwhite and turkey. Fantastic
scenery and you can go for hours without seeing the same thing.

Thanks! Connetquot Park is GORGEOUS!

And yes, these horses are right across the street from the park - walking distance! Barn also has an arena with lights and a couple of jumps.

riderless horses in rappahannock

take your pick -

5 year old HUS AQHA bay filly, 16.2, greenish but VERY quiet and loves attention.

13 year old Selle Francias mare, 16.1, schooled through 3rd level dressage, great work ethic.

12 year old App/TBx gelding, 16.1, fearless eventer and trail riding machine - loves to jump.

current rider/mom is pregnant and due mid-july, but the opportunity for the right person goes beyond that - as i’d love to have someone to ride with regularly who could both enjoy my horses and be good for them.

Horseless Rider in Jacksonville or Richlands, NC

Hey y’all! I’m a horseless rider (until September when Chris deploys) who has experience in gaited horses and quarter horses. I am not heavy handed with a horse, and enjoy working with greenies. I have been riding my entire life and have worked at two training barns. I can provide references if needed. I’m a hard worker and would help with any work y’all need assistance with. Thanks!
