You are all such fashionistas! My:everyday breeches are either the £12 pair from a supermarket a couple of years ago or one of the “three pairs for £40” at a show last summer. I attract dirt, hair and slobber so I can’t see any point in fancy clothing around horses, unless I’m going hunting or competing.
Hows the fit?
what colour are you getting?
Navy Blue in the Classic breech. I love the look with buttons and true riding pant style, I’m not a huge tight look fan LOL.
They run a little large. I like the rise, it’s probably on the high side for a thinner person, but I have enough fluff to eat up the rise so they come to a comfortable mid-rise spot on me. They are really long, but I am short and am used to folding up the end of my breeches because almost everything is too long for me. Nice pockets, comfortable seams, good sized belt loops. The silicone grip seemed comparable with anything else. I paid $33 for them and was pleasantly surprised. I can’t speak to their durability because I haven’t had them very long. I think I will appreciate them even more come summer because they are very lightweight.
I just ordered their Pro and winter breeches!
I wasn’t a fan of the Pro - they sizing felt really off. My go to size in every other brand was so tight I could barely get it on, and I didn’t love the material enough to try a size up.
I did like the winter pants though! I thought they fit similarly to the Lux (which I love). They advised sizing up, which I did not do. I ordered the same size I get the Lux in, and while they fit a little bigger they still fit really well. Just enough room for long underwear, but not so much bigger they weren’t still form fitting. I like the material - not so warm I’m going to sweat riding in the indoor, but warm enough I won’t freeze getting my horse on a 20 degree day.
Anybody tried or seen in person the wearepomme breeches?

I saw a video review of someone that had them and they ripped within one of the first few uses. They didn’t recommend them.
For anyone in Canada, do not order Maya Delorez, on top of their shipping cost on the website, DHL charged an additional $87 for shipping. On a pair of damn pants. Next time I’ll see if I can ship to someone in the states. holy.
Was that duty that got charged? That would be my guess rather than additional shipping. Either duty or HST - BTDT.
I discovered this local (to Toronto) company recently and had a chance to see and touch them at the Royal (didn’t have enough time to try them on as I was working at a vendor booth). I took a chance and ordered during their 25% off Black Friday sale. The order shipped literally 20 minutes after I placed it, and she sent it expedited at no extra charge so that it arrived the next day. She also included tote bags and bridle charms (a friend also ordered with me).

The material is so, so nice. It’s soft and stretchy and comfortable. Definitely not compression tights though. I got the tan full seat breeches for showing. They have a more traditional high waist, but I am long in the waist so they are perfect for me. The other colours are a bit lower but still a mid rise. A friend got the olive green full seats and they were also lovely.
There are also a wide variety of sizes. The owner is very responsive to messages so check in before purchasing to verify your size. I think she’s working on a size chart but the material is very stretchy so you might size down. The tan full seats I got have a bit less stretchy waistband so I stuck with a medium.
Yeah it was Duty.
AnnieJay, I touched their stuff, I didn’t like how thin the material is, I felt like it would show every blemish I have on my thighs, which I don’t need help with.
Would you say they are thin? now that you have ridden in them?
I haven’t actually ridden in them - I just tried them on to be sure they fit and then put them away for next year I was also wondering about the fabric, but when I put them on I was pleasantly surprised. You’d think the tan would show everything but it didn’t. The other colours, being darker, would probably hide anything you don’t want showing. The olive green were fairly dark - darker than I expected but in a good way.
The only “problem” is that they are a bit big around my knees, but everything is big around my knees as I have chicken legs.
There are photos on the Annie Jay FB page, Instagram, and website of models of all sizes. The social media posts from customers tagging the company are probably good for you to check out, as there wouldn’t likely be any photo editing so you can see some real world people in them.
Looks like with shipping and tax in Ontario it is cheaper to order from Free Ride. The tax and shipping within Canada just adds so much to the starting price.
Free ride has free shipping and I never pay duty, for the Canadians wondering.
So I’ll amend my Equestly review cause they ripped yesterday in the pocket area with light use. Like washed less than 6 times.
My daughters pair is fine but I do wear mine doing chores/barn work/riding 2 horses. For the price I’d rather buy another pair of FreeRides.
One update on the winter Free Rides: I don’t think the navy of the winter pants is as shown in their pictures, and is very different than the navy for the Lux. I ordered the winter pants in Black and Navy and thought they sent two pairs of black. They are very, very dark Navy. In natural light today I could tell they were navy, but they were a very different tone of blue than the Lux navy (which I really like the color of). A little disappointed, as I would have ordered the burgundy instead option, but not disappointed enough to exchange them.
Hows the fit/feel?
Fit is very similar to Lux, just slightly bigger to accommodate long underwear. They tell you to size down if you don’t want to layer underneath, but I found the sizing comparable enough that I was glad I went with my normal size even though I don’t plan to wear a layer underneath. I could fit something underneath, but they fit well without it too.
Feel is “winter version of Lux” if that makes sense - similar stretchiness, similar comfort, but thicker. They aren’t fleece lined, but feel warm and substantial. They probably wouldn’t be my go to if I was working outside all day doing chores in a snowstorm, or at least not without another layer. But for being at the barn for a few hours, even once it gets down to the teens, I think they will be quite toasty without being sweaty (our indoor stays pretty warm). We haven’t had any truly cold days yet - shockingly - so I haven’t really been able to test the warmth. I’ll update once I do.
I asked my friend who bought the olive Annie Jay breeches (in XL) what she thought of the coverage, and she was very happy with them. She said she’s had issues with other brands showing everything you don’t want to show and these do not. I thought I’d pass that on!
Thank you for this review! I find their tights so comfortable. A lot of pants are super uncomfortable for me, because of my body shape. I am looking forward to when I can get these winter ones.
No problem, and hopefully this photo works! This gives an idea of color. From left to right: Navy Lux, Navy winter, Black winter.
The Navy winter almost have green undertones on a dark greyish color. This is in bright natural light, opening the package in the evening I could barely tell a different between the black and navy winter breeches.
