Show Hunters of the past

Good reading material. Think most of us on here, watched those wonderful horses. But our memories ahh are fading slightly.

Sherry I remember Terry on The Graduate! Remember White Rock?

The ones that always come to mind for me are Not Always, Cap and Gown, Among the Stars, Up In Smoke, Gozzi, Aldie Belle, and a grey horse, I think whose name, I think was Second Fiddle.

that’s what I thought; thanks for the clarification!

Lake Placid hasn’t been the same since HAPPY JACK’S closed!

No! I mentioned Tiberius a while back…remember Annie Deveroux’s sweet a/o hunter?? What was HIS name. I’m really losing it.
Hey BH’s…what was the girls name at FCHC who owned Darius??

Oh yeah…Menotti [sp?]

coorect on Lorraine and Kevin

There is a Nimrod group on Yahoo - he could check there.

Some of my favorites were Sassoon, Dillon, Lion in Winter, Rain Forest, Lifes Pursuit, Peterbuilt Special and Gray Flannel

Actually I thought Market Rise got some sort of shipping fever upon returning from Florida and died from Pneumonia in about 75 or 76?

I know it was a tragic end to a cute little horse.

You mean Race, there’s another family we have to think of??

Lordy you are pushing these gray cells!

What about Chadds Ford?? in the mid 80’s as a conf hntr. Also Kevin Lenehan had a Touch of Class Working horse ???

You know who I miss? Robert Hoskins…what a sweet guy and what a tradgedy.

Yes,I must raise hand,as I also was at L.P. the night that RainForest died…Such a Horror!!!

Someone mentioned the Hunterdon Hunters…
Movie Star etc.
NightLife…A.K.A. Buzzy was at Tewksbury Farms w/Karen Healey & H.LaBove before she was at Hunterdon…RuthAnn Bowers owned her at that time

Anybody know a grey called Clouds? by The Schreiber. Or Shakespear?.

LH
You got the outside course down pat. That was it. And there was NO indoor ring there then either. A great place in its day

I had a horse I boarded at Shannon it was the year of 63-64. We were at Toronto at the Horse Show with the USET team when that happened. It was the day of the Nations cup and the USA did not compete. Do you remeber when the had shows there and had an outside course?

Remember Tracey Kestler’s First Impression?

Spindletop Showdown, anyone?

Mr. Campanini

Racer…Kim Song’s retirement party was in a ballroom and yes, the horse was there. However the venue was Washington. A wild evening.

The second year hack was the first class the following morning. My recollection - lots of horses waiting for riders who didn’t quite make it.

Hat Trick spent some time in Virginia. Gail Honig was owner/rider at one point.
