Sourball was adorable. What a paint job! Must have been the cutest foal.

Is this just show hunters of the East Coast? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
No. March On, one of my favorites, was from L.A.
Anyone remember “Army Wife” , I think Joey Darby showed her. Anyone remember Junie Kulp when his stable was ‘the one to beat’ in Zone 2??? I think Terry Rudd started with him as a kid. Wendy Wanamaker’s “Brave War”, talking about a successful 4 y. o.!! Remember “Lucky Valentine”, perhaps at 15.1 1/2 the smallest horse to ever win the first year hack at Devon???
Terri, I saw earlier that you mentioned that you were from Pa. What part, I used to compete against your hubby many moons ago in Pa.
OAK, I remember the outside course at The North Shore Horse Show. Most of those shows on Long Island had outside courses, Vixen and the show they ran at Debbie Sweeney’s current farm.

I showed against Automation, Katz Leib,Clark /Royal Gunner, Susie Heller, First’n Ten, Ann Yohai in the working.
How about The Graduate? Terry Rudd rode him when he was at Junie’s. Daryl Pirtle (portella) had him later.
Sorry, don’t remember Last Murmur, but there was a Murmur a Bit. I do remember all of the other names and I showed against Sandra Caldwell. Anyone remember Sight Unseen (pony size Palomino, always Jr. Hunter Ch. or Ballet Master, Anne Clark?
No Harry…I’ll be bumbling around on the beach with my metal detector, black socks and sandals if you all come up with the nag’s name and need to reach me.
Oh.My.God. There’s a horse named Spam?
General C brings to mind James Hulick, He also rode the Guyer’s Waresian, and one of my all time favorites, Terra Cotta. I even got to show her under sadle once (badly), so I never got another chance. He also had a wonderful eq horse, Tiny’s Thoughts.

Does anyone remember Raise the Roof from California. I think Cee Cee rode him as well as Susie Hutchinson. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Buggs,
I have a great story about your guy. He was started by Twinkie and Doc Nissen. They were the ones who named him Raise the Roof because he was so volatile. When he didn’t like something or didn’t want to do something, he let you know it in no uncertain terms.
One such thing was having his ears trimmed. No way, no how would he allow it.
One day Twinkie had turned him out and he was going crazy, racing around. At one point he slipped and went down and slid so that his head and neck got trapped under the bottom rail of the fence.
Twinkie went running to the barn, calling for Doc to get a crowbar to pry the bottom board off and free RTR.
Doc came out, quickly appraised the situation and said, “Crowbar, hell! I’m getting the clippers!”
So he sat on RTR’s neck on one side of the fence while Twinkie trimmed his ears on the other side of the fence. Only then did they use the crowbar and free him.
After Twinkie told me that story I always wondered how the grooms at Flintridge managed to keep his mane roached during that period when Jimmy went crazy and, in a boycott against braiders, roached the mane of every horse in the barn.
