Watching Fibonacci kick his back legs to try to make it over the oxer when it was misjudged gave me goosebumps. He knew in the air he wasn’t going to make it
I’d imagine these horses are tired. It’s been a long week of big tracks. It’s hot and humid. It takes a lot to keep them fresh enough to make it through these rounds. On top of that they can’t be too fresh and these courses have been so technical you need to have control as well. Lots of tests this week.
Had to hurt too, hope they are OK. Good choice to retire.

She got there on a half stride - she wanted to wait and jump deep and horse decided to launch from way off the base, then couldn’t clear the back rail (he tried pretty hard though!).

So I was going to ask - They have been deleting business names from the horses’ names at this olympics. Wasn’t Shutterfly the name of an internet company? If he had theoretically been MMB’s horse here, what would they have had to call him? 'Here’s Meredith on ‘her horse’?
