Well, the ONE new pair of Piper breeches not backordered came and I love them. Wish everything had come at once!!!

Despite being on smartpaks for 3 years now, I have never received a calendar. Can you please let me know the code? I need a new fly sheet and mask, and I prefer them embroidered so that they don’t end up worn by someone else.[/QUOTE]

Piper knit front zips with silicone knee patch.
Anybody else see the free 2 day shipping (with lots of caveats, of course)? I ordered a pair of Ice Horse hock boots on Monday morning and they arrived yesterday! I was pretty impressed with that.

Good to know! They are in the new catalog too
I did notice that - I needed some horse treats (training treats) and added them to my monthly SP that was about to ship. I selected to have it ship with the monthly and it showed up 2 days later. It shipped from Las Vegas! I wasn’t charged extra but I really didn’t need it that fast. I ordered a couple of jars of Equishure 2 days ago (at night) and they are supposed to show up tomorrow. Now THAT I don’t mind getting fast because I’m out but the treats really could have shipped w/the monthly.
Not complaining! It was a nice surprise.

Can you describe the knit fabric for me?

It reminds me of the old old on course cotton natural fabric- which I loved. 4 way stretch, thicker than tights, enough body to look like breeches instead. A softer hand than the other Pipers and less “swishy.” Seems like it wouldn’t pill. Like the breech version of ponte?!
I ordered the knit pipers too and I really like them. Like a thicker/better version of tights. I wish the waistband was a little wider, but overall I like them. Hopefully they hold up well.

 Love those old cotton on course breeches. Ran mine through the hot cycle/high heat because I lost a ton of weight and just couldn’t part with them. Glad to see a similar fabric in the pipers! You may have sold me on trying a pair of these now!
I snap up old OC-CNs anytime I see them but they’re rarer and rarer! So these new breeches make me happy!

I bought these about a month ago and I really like them too. I do wish the knee patches were thinner as it alters the fit of one of my pairs of customs enough that I can’t get the boot on.
These sound awesome!
The new regular (non “knit,” although technically the fabric is in fact a knit) Piper knee “patch” silicone breeches FINALLY arrived. Huge disappointment. They are so cheap, it’s hard for me to believe the same manufacturer made these and the knit ones for SP?! It MUST be a different company. The knit ones has very nice, neat stitching and fabric with a thick, soft hand. These were pretty crappily thrown together and are that knit fabric that pills like crazy. I didn’t find the rise to be too low on the knit ones, these were way too low rise for my liking. The knit ones had thick silicone patterned onto fabric which was then sewn on as a self patch on top of the fabric of the breech leg. These had the silicone printed right ON to the breech leg, no patch at all. The silicone was much thinner and less grippy. And these are $20 MORE than the knit ones? I’d be money these are made for SP by Equine Couture/JPC. I don’t know who makes the knit ones, but they’re a whole class nicer in terms of quality and substantially less money. They come in fewer colors and don’t have piping, but otherwise they are worlds nicer. I am returning the 2 regular silicone Pipers I bought and exchanging for another pair of the knit. No brainer, the knit is WAY NICER.
I bought a Hott Wash from Smartpak earlier this year. I used it once, it was totally useless so I sent it back. They called me and said that they were deducting 20% from my refund because it was “used” I asked how I was supposed to know whether it would do the job or not without trying it and she said that was a good question. And deducted $75 from my refund anyway. Done.

Thank you for posting that, as I’ve been hemming and hawing on which to get. I like the colors of the regular breeches better, but I prefer comfort/quality over color any day!
