Spinoff: Anyone looking for long lost barn pals?

Neat thread!

Anyone around who would have gone to William Woods College '85-'87?

Anybody work or ride with Mary Rose in Colorado?

Anyone ride at Foxcroft Farm in Greenville SC in the seventies? The trainer was a little British lady named Jennifer Jones. She was great.

I would like to hear from Sarah Kirsch. She and I evented together at Hearthstone Horse Trails in Ohio in the late 90’s. She had a cute TB Ruffhousin (sp). I think she moved to the Columbus, Ohio area.

lost barn pal…

Amy Rappaport… NJ…had POA mare “Lenny”

Anyone go to Brentwood Stables summer camp in Angelica, NY???

This is another good website idea…Classmates.com but for barns. How fun would that be?

I’d like to catch up with some of my old riding lesson students that I’ve lost track of, but most of them are probably married by now so they have new names and google won’t cough them up. I always think about these 3 really nice kids, last name Wesner. They shared one horse at first - a senior Thoroughbred with a HUGE motor named By George I’m Late. It was a great name for him…he was pushing 20 when they got him and all we ever seemed to do were gymnastics and circles trying to slow him down.

quick bump

Come on over to the horseless riders board…we created a forum for old barn pals!

Wheaton Park Stables, MD

Looking for anyone that grew up riding at Wheaton Park Stables in Silver Spring, MD. I was there from the time I was 8 to 19 and then realized there was much more to riding than just trotting cross rails and left.

Would love to re connect with folks who rode when I was there.

I must have missed this thread the first time around. I’d like to touch base with Karen Kenney, originally from NJ. I haven’t seen her since the mid 80’s, and last I heard she was working with racing TBs up in New England.

Hey! Didn’t board there but went to plenty of their shows. Also went to an auction there and my mom let me bid on an arab! I boarded at Jim Herbs, The Poteets (now Suzanne’s) and Flat Creek Ranch in Hogansville. We might know the same people.

PAT COLE

was in Aiken SC during the 90’s. I think she moved to NC a few years ago.

Anybody ever met Darcy Scadaro? I awlays wondered what happened to her. .

In switching cell phones, I lost some phone numbers a few years ago and would love to get in touch with two of my friends, Camille Wilkens (married now) and Megan Boblitt, from the first barn I boarded at in Poolesville. I keep hoping to run into them somewhere in the horse community that is NOVA/MD, but no luck! Camille ended up boarding at a really small, private barn near Poolesville with her horses, Aria and Sonny, but I can’t remember where Megan went. Would love to catch up with them to say “hi” and see how they’re doing.

I was a working student for Ann Guptill in CT from Aug '96 to Aug '97. Before that, some time at Millbrook Equestrian Center, NY. Anybody else?

I worked for Ann Guptill the summer of 1994. Carolyn Denton was working there then. Pam Gillespie was my age (early in college then) and working there, as well. Do you know/remember them?

Riding pals

I think this is an extreme longshot but does anyone know or anyone or remember Roys Ranch in West Bloomfield, MI?

I would love to know how an old school friend of mine is doing. We went to middle school together, but lost touch when she moved. We were both horse crazy, and she was lucky enough to own her own horse.

Her name was Terri Adams and she lived in Pueblo, Co, but I don’t know where she moved to. Her horses name was Major and I believe he was a QH.

I would love to hear how she is doing and if she is still into horses.

No, that was before me. For some reason, though, I seem to remember a Pam coming for some short-term help, they said she had worked there in the past… but I wouldn’t know if it was this person.
I often wonder how the folks I worked with are doing…you get rather close stripping and waxing tack room floors in the middle of the night!

I did! For one summer! I don’t think that place exists anymore.
