What a sweet idea! I unfortunately have zero talent for drawing, otherwise this would be a fun side project.
STUPID question warning ahead.
Please explain making biscuits.
No stupid questions here - “making biscuits” is a colloquialism for when cats knead a blanket. The kneading action looks like a baker kneading dough to make biscuits (flaky pastry - not cookies).
Thank you. I know that action well. I will tell my friend the next time I am there.
Some cat people call the action “playing the piano.”
It’s 8am. Why am I cutting onions at 8am?!
Nic looks so great, and @BrownDerby, we’re going to need updates on this guy!
A friend (& multicat owner) called this (& don’t ask why ) VizhVah.
I cannot LIKE this thread enough!
@BrownDerby You realize us Aunties will require pics of Nic in his new home?
@BatCoach The BHWF is Ivy League quality & the Class Photog is Par Excellence!
I truly Nic & this entire thread
Thank you for all you do for the kitties there. I think Nic won the lottery and I think he’ll make @Brownderby tremendously happy and be a wonderful companion.
Hope the trip is safe and uneventful!
It still can be. Traditionally publishers have often preferred to pick the illustrator themselves. We aren’t all C.W. Anderson!
Cool. I never heard it called that before. I like it.
As someone else said, publishers generally hire their own artists, unless some other deal with the author is arranged. But one thing you could think about is taking photos and putting them through some photo editing software to make them appear like drawings, or watercolor paintings.
Maybe there is someone here on COTH that you could collaborate with?
I’m still thinking we need a Cats of COTH calendar. Maybe a Cats of BHWF?
You know that pose when one hind leg is pointing straight up while “parts” are groomed?
Friends call that “playing the cello”
I see a Cat Symphony forming…
Nic has arrived and is chillin in the guest room. He’s very scared, but hiding under the bed beats hiding under a car. He’s using the litter box and drooling a lot. My home is very quiet so I feel it won’t take him long to acclimate.
BatCoach is a bundle of energy and a generous one. She brought tons of supplies and feed and not one bad word about that 8 hour drive. Be more like BatCoach.
Amazing!! I look forward to hearing more about Nic’s new adventures. You two ladies rock.
It won’t be long and he’ll be out exploring his new home.
I’m so glad he’s home!
I’m sure Nic will figure out this latest upheaval & realize he’s landed in the Catbird Seat
Ginormous Kudos to @BatCoach for her part in this latest COTH adventure.
& To you @BrownDerby for taking in the lovely (if drooly) Nic
When pics are possible, pls post
Welcome home, Nic!
It won’t take him long to transition into permanent-lapcat status. Thank you, both, again!
I feel like this needs to be a bumper sticker.
So glad Nic is in his new home! He’ll be coming out to cuddle and play in no time.
We want Nic pics!!
