Crosslake Shells

My old man that I post about quite a bit. From racing in PA to the auction at New Holland. Picked up by a horse dealler in Feb 1998, the month I bought him. A friend told me about a horse with the biggest, sweetest eyes. Liked on sight. Loved at first ride. It will be 12 years in Feb.!
Dressage, eventing, trail, all around best horse. Incredibly sensitve to ride, spooky, strong willed, happy, sweet, always ready to go-go-go. Pictures here: http://www.lidcta.com/Coppermine/cpg1418/thumbnails.php?album=1

Same here? is anyone updating the list?

catknsn was keeping it up to date, as she made the list, and it’s on her site. Try sending her a PM.

I have posted/emailed several times but my boy is still not on the list.
Zen’s Secret ReaZen, a/k/a Ted the Peep 'Ho.

Kizzmatan was the horse that officially got me hooked on horse racing…or at least at the time, horse gambling. As I have gotten older, I have become a huge fan of the sport in all aspects. But it was Kizzmatan, who as a 17-1 Penn National longshot , showed me just how exciting horse racing can be.

Could you add Devilshire to the list? Thanks!

Well, you have lit up my heart in a way that is impossible to describe! Kizzmatan was the glory train that passed through my life and made everything rumble and glow for the 15 years I had her. She is buried in my pasture now, in her favorite spot. Nothing in any category will ever compare with her.

I am euphoric, reading your words.

Gritsw and GMG…

…how cool is that!!! What a blessing that she was loved well for such a long time.

Devon, how is that little Devil??

It’s a funny thing. I was a teenager that day at Penn National. Now I am 42. Over the years, I have used the name “Kizzmatan” for random passwords, or contest nicknames. Typing or saying the name always brought back a good memory, and made me smile…as I am smiling now.

Well, uhm, me, too! Some time after I purchased Kizzy, I phoned her breeder, just to let him know that she was safely and happily homed for life. I’ll never forget the reverence in his voice or the way he said her name. He said tremulously, “You have Kissy-muh-tan?” He was very old and died shortly after that phone call, and that was more than 20 years ago, but I can hear him vividly still.

Is the Mo in GoMoGO for Uncle Mo? We have something else in common, then.

Yes GoMoGo is for Uncle M o. My brother and I saw him break his Maiden last August at Saratoga. When he ran past us at the quarter pole, and away from the field, my brother and I looked at each other, smiled, and nodded. We knew we had just seen a very special horse. I look forward to seeing him at Aqueduct in April.

He’s doing great. He’s been a great horse for me to learn how to ride on and he shows tons of potential as a Hunter. I’m hoping this spring or summer I can take him to a few shows.
