TB's I Have Known - [FB PAGE STARTED w/ Database!!! - update on 1st post]

Bagavond (Abaginone (1/2 brother to Cara Rafaela, Bernardini’s dam) out of a Groovy dam)- just retired this past summer - turned over to me, and I placed him in the care of my good friend at Springerle Stables near Syracuse. Will be starting h/j training this spring. I spotted him from afar in 2006 at Saratoga, somehow became mesmerized, and bought into his partnership while he was racing. He was a joy to watch run.

Alot O Indian - my first horse, barn name “Schroeder” - finally got one in my 20’s, after waiting since I was 7. Not listed on pedigreequery but he had Irish Brush and Fleet Burn(Count Fleet) behind him. Born in the 70’s, raced at Ak-Sar-Ben, then shipped east where my trainer and I picked him up down in Millbrook. Became a good show horse, I couldn’t afford the level he could show at so sold him to someone at Roger Patterson’s, where I believe his barn name was “Jamie” - I heard he was sold to someone in NJ, but never found out where he ultimately ended up. Would love to find out some day. Very good equitation horse, not a classic hunter, but honest as the day is long, never stopped for anything, and the most comfortable canter in the world.

Cuygus - purchased as a h/j project just before I got married - leased him out as a dressage prospect, and eventually sold him to the gal that had him. Another sweet guy.

I know lots more from show barns, and at the track, but these are those I’ve known well personally. Looking to rearrange my life to have another TB to myself again soon. Sigh…

I have 3 at my barn

The Count (1998)- Owned by a 16 yr old girl that shows him in the baby hunter stuff. He’s sound but his legs look rough.

Kensington (2001)- Owned by a 17 yr old jr that had originally planned to show him at 3’6 until he was injured in early 2008. Was off until fall of 2010 and now but back into work. Should be able to jump at least 3’ again. VERY nice mover

Walnut Cove (2004)- HUGE (17.3) and built like a WB. In training to be a H/J. Very lazy but has a very good attitude. Athletic and willing. For sale.

Mine is Sir Bigun (1991) Raced in northern CA, AZ, and Montana. I’ve had him for 10 years…he is semi-retired now, but we did eventing to training level…did a 1/2*!

I also have some names of some others who have been through our barn…but can’t remember them all…these are the ones whose JC names I know…most, like mine, have been re-named…

Phantom Force
P.J.s Orphan
Lil’ Mon
Sheep Camp
Jamaicamecrazy
jeesh…guess I don’t know very many of their JC names…they weren’t mine, though…

I posted before too and my guy is not on the list either.

Mr Prosper (1991)

I would love to know about his past if anyone has any info. He is tattooed but never raced according to the JC.

I got him in September 2007 from a horse dealer. He was underweight and needed a little TLC but he’s amazing now!!!

Looking for Stacie

Stacie,

You posted Zamaroo, 2000! I own him and would love to get information on him when you rode him/knew him! How old when you rode him or year(s)? Gelded? Thanks!

Currently own Seneca Falls 98’ ![](are by BoudaryXSunnyClime

Maximum Pleasure 82’ is sitll alive and kicking at my mothers.

I would love to know if anyone recognizes this horse. I owned him between 88’ and 99’ he was supposed to be around 16ish when i got him in 88. He came from Judy Youngs Even Keel Farm in FL and was my junior jumper and my heart horse. He was tatto’d altough not even remotely legible. He came with the name O’Brother.

I’ve been around quite a few but one of my favorites was a big chestnut gelding who I would like to find. Last I heard he was running for Barbara McBride but his last start was in 2008.

Three Cities (2003)

If anyone knows where he is I’d love to hear! I know his breeder would buy him in a heartbeat if he needs a home.

Come Spring - She raced at Hastings

Milocalwinnings, I have Street Con at my place, he is owned by a wonderful woman and enjoying his retirement. Sending you a PM.

Hi, coming out of lurkdom. The link to the list wouldn’t work for me, so I’ll list our here.

Hoffa - 1987 Gray gelding RIP 77 starts, by LeCouCou
He was dropped off at a trainer’s barn to be sold for a guy who took him in exchange for an overdue feed bill. Not sure where he was before that. We finally were able to read his tatoo and found out who he was. He had to be euthanized almost 10 yrs ago due to a pasture accident. I still miss him terribly.

Sunset Sale - 1997 Chestnut Mare, 13 starts, by Repriced
Still own today. What can I say? She’s a typical chestnut TB mare. LOL

Imperial Trouble - 1997 Dark Bay Mare, 5 Starts, by Imperial Falcon
Still own today. She’s a bit of a pistol, but a sweetheart.

We also own an Appendix QH gelding, now 25. who’s a grandson of Secretariat. If he was sorrel, he’d be a replica (he’s gray).

The website says its under construction/default page. Is it really, or is there an issue?

I think it’s just non-existent now. In a previous post catknsn said she wasn’t going to add anymore to the list and it was up for grabs if anyone wanted to continue it.

Since it seems the site is entirely down, I was going to work on re-doing the entire list from the beginning of this thread. I will post a link to the webpage when it’s done!!! There’s a lot of pages, so it may take a few hours.

I can add a few…or quite a few.

I currently own Summon Mi Cielo! Would love any info on her history if anyone’s met her before.

Hey MBM

Several of the horses on your list have crossed my radar. Had Capstoneclearance for a bit. Marsh Dawg still running at Finger Lakes. In fact your list is includes several that have been here/are still here. You’ve also included several NY sires. I was across the road when Carribean Cruiser was making noise in the barn of Donna Bireta! It was a wonderful ride.

Time Piece is owned by a fellow COTHer! His new name is “Keeper” and he has landed in clover.

Magee and Expensive Decision (Ed) stood at SUNY Cobleskill, where I went to college. Several of the broodmares were at Cobleskill, too. Cruiser was there for a short while to be a sport horse stud…only he had no interest in mounting anything, and the only thing he wanted to jump was the paddock fence! I have lots of pics of almost all of these guys if you or anyone else that knows these guys wants to see them.

Which COTHer?? I would love to connect! He was the biggest PITA to jog in the universe.

MBM, her COTH name is BuffaloColleen.

Ok, a few more I found in my pony albums:

Knox
Unbridled Danger
Quahada
Lord of the Game
Untilthemusicstops
Carson Guy

I don’t know these guys personally, but if anyone has them now or knows someone who does, I’ve got pictures of them:
Magnagarcia
War Marshall
Dances
Half Karat
Sammy’s DJ
Stormy Impact
Thunder Mission

The ones I knew are probably all gone by now and I listed some way back in this thread but one guy I know went to Canada to make baby hunter/jumpers. He was named Trojan Shield, a giant of a chestnut. Anyone got any of his babies?
