That's a twist

The shooting was Aug 7th not 9th.
Are you unaware of the 911 calls that took place trying to get help? Lawyers were involved as well. And was he to just wait in a dangerous environment with his family while the courts tried to get her out, rather than moving to the barn?

Yes, because prosecutors do not bring charges of attempted murder and weapons charges against people who were in imminent physical danger.

If he had leased the place to her, he is supposed to honor the lease, and protect his family by moving to the barn or a short term rental. He spends the money to get his family in a safe situation and waits while the courts handle it.

I don’t know what was in the lease, but the fact that he moved out to the barn in late July suggests to me that he did not have the legal standing to give her 30 days notice then use the courts.

So you don’t have first hand knowledge, correct?

Only one person who has posted on this thread does. And the truth will come out in a trial. Everything else is just speculation.

I can’t even begin to sum up the delusionsl and nasty turns the discussion went on the August thread. If you are interested go read that.

I have no doubt the thread was nasty. Just asking for a single example of a well documented lie.

She was not a squatter.

There is speculation that his calls to 911 were to harass her so she would move out. Be interesting to see if this comes out in the trial. He was asked on several of them if he felt he was in danger and he said no. In one of the last calls he first said no, someone in the background said something to him, and then he added something like, “well we could be”. Setting up self defense?

Only one person who has posted on this thread has first hand knowledge of whether MB was in imminent physical danger? You mean LK? Pretty sure her position is that she was not about to kill him.

Confirming her name is not on the list of bronze medalists.

I’m aware of what a squatter is. I have no idea whether she was one or not as I have no idea what the agreement between them originally was. What she continues to insist is that he never called them squatters. In fact, she said to check the 911 calls in this post…

IF you actually listen to the 911 call, yes, he does in fact call them squatters. https://soundcloud.com/katie-kausch/…-call-august-1

I posted this recording in which you can clearly hear him say it, and she again insisted that he never said anything of the sort. OK. I call that an untruth. Why she’d lie about that, I have no idea, because it’s not open season to go shoot squatters even if they were squatters. I suspect he is using the term incorrectly, but that wasn’t the point.

The fact that he moved out meant that he was in fear for his family’s safety and wanted to distance them from the threat as much as possible without abandoning his property, barn and horses.

really?? the only reason people ever move is because they fear for their safety?

Interesting theory

Ummm, we are not really talking about a normal move, let alone a normal situation now are we?
Smh.

Do we know why he moved? Is there something he said or wrote about why he moved to the barn? I don’t remember seeing anything definitive. I mean, we can guess why he may have, but do we know for sure?

That’s fine. Move to the barn or another rental WHILE YOU LET THE COURTS HANDLE IT. Was he in the process of going through the courts? If she had a fixed term lease through Dec 1, or whatever, the courts would not be available to help him, since she would have had the legal right to
stay.

I am thrilled @YankeeDuchess has all the answers about this situation and everyone else is simply blowing smoke and have no opinion. Her comments are not worth arguing at this point. Life is too short to argue semantics with someone with a closed mind.

Merry Christmas Everyone!! (I sure hope the thread isn’t closed down because of this post!!)

I don’t see where I blamed the victim. Never said she deserved to be shot. Didn’t ask if her behavior was the reason she got shot. I just keep saying she’s a horrible excuse for a human being. She is. Doesn’t mean I think she asked to get shot. Nowhere did I personally speculate that she had a part in the shooting itself. Again, I just said she’s a horrible person. Not victim blaming.

I know this has been said before, but how many of you would move off of your property, leaving your mulitmillion dollar property, all of your farming equipment, and the horses that you are being paid to watch over in addition to your own horses? Especially when you feel that all of the above are in danger?
For those saying “well I sure would” I say bull Sh*t. You have no idea how you would react for one thing, and if you would be willing to leave your animals in a situation you felt was dangerous, well I have no respect for you.

@Jenerationx I believe MB addresses the move in one of the many 911 calls.

OK. He incorrectly called them squatters on a 911 call. As long as LK initially moved in with his permission, they were not squatters. LK incorrectly posts that MB never called them
squatters. That’s what you’re so enraged about?

Then I guess you can understand why Lauren didn’t leave her hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of horses and equipment, right?

I mean, given what you stated above, her reason for staying is just as reasonable as Michael’s.
