If your liver is not working properly, there are medications for that.
Ask for relief, don’t suffer as if that is expected, it is not.

Just going to float this by…loving my CBD oil to help with the pain of my knee that is waiting replacement…something to look into…lots of people get some benefit from it…don’t know if it is legal where you are, it’s a bit debatable here, but can get it posted and the cost is less than the last lot of meds they wrote me up for, and the side affects - non existent.

Kim, do you have a family practitioner that you can get in touch with about pain management? I know you are waiting for the oncologists appointment, but while you are waiting on that your family doctor or the gastro doctor should hopefully be able to help with pain management.

Something else to think about. I have upped my count of massages because I’m creakier than I used to be. It’s not a need, but boy oh boy, is it ever a want. I’ve promised myself that when I retire, I’ll go every week. Really makes me feel better. Could I treat you to a couple?

Very valuable suggestion! My DH also used CBD oil and found it worked better for some of the internal pain than other things. And doesn’t cause constipation like opioids do.

You know, I used to get them all the time, IT was a joy.
there is a small hollistic massage place in Town that the Ex has gone to. Good thought, will see if they can help.
The only thing I am taking is Ibuprophen. And only when it is not tollerable.
Constipation is a big no no, as you can quite imagine.
My liver does not hurt, it is my ass! LOL

Yes I do, he is the one who originally referred me for the colonoscopy.
Bet he is shaking his head at me right about now.

Been reading about that, Nurse had mentioned it. IT is more about feeling good, which right now I am all about! I am hoping I can get with a doc half as good as the surgeon was.

What did the oncologists office say ??

Please do ask for pain relief med. There is no reason that you should be miserable. Sometimes Docs assume someone else is taking care of it. Hang in there!

A couple non-pharmacological ways to deal with pain.

Deep breathing. Find a comfortable spot. 5 seconds of breathing in, 5 seconds of breathing out. Do at least 30 seconds. More is better. Be sure you are are breathing into your belly, not your chest.

Again, find a comfortable quiet spot and focus on a body part that doesn’t hurt. I had trouble finding one:sigh:, but I found my right elbow fits the bill. It really works.

Some things to give a try.

Hope your day is improving:yes:.

Were any of the Smartpatients able to give advice about the pain?

Have not heard, or gotten any contact info yet! :frowning:

If you lose your faith, babe, you can have mine
And if you’re lost I’m right behind
Cause we walk the same line

Now I don’t have to tell you
How slow the night can go
I know you’ve watched for the light

And I bet you could tell me
How slowly four follows three
And you’re most forlorn just before dawn

So if you loose your faith babe
You can have mine
And if you’re lost, I’m right behind
Cause we walk the same line

When it’s dark baby
There’s a light I’ll shine
And if you’re lost, I’m right behind
Cause we walk the same line

And I don’t need reminding
How loud the phone can ring
When you’re waiting for news

And that big old moon
Lights every corner of the room
Your back aches from lying
And your head aches from crying

So if you lose your faith babe
You can have mine
And if you’re lost, I’m right behind
Cause we walk the same line

When it’s dark baby
There’s a light I’ll shine
And if you’re lost, I’m right behind
Cause we walk the same line

And if these troubles
Should vanish like rain on midday
Well I’ve no doubt there’ll be more

And we can’t run and we can’t cheat
Cause babe when we meet
What we’re afraid of
We find out what we’re made of

So if you lose your faith babe
You can have mine
And if you’re lost, I’m right behind
Cause we walk the same line

She needs a life and lifestyle plan now…nutrition, pain management and a Therapist who can walk her down this end of life road and the depression, anxiety ,guilt and grief that Will go with it. Refusing treatment doesn`t suddenly make things calm and peaceful

And an advocate who can find several oncologists, make fone calls and raise hell when needed.

I don’t believe Sannios is refusing treatment. She is still waiting for appointments and is in pain now… Did I miss something?

No I have not refused treatment, But like I said I will not subject myself to endless chemo and radiation only to ruin my quality of life, what is left of it.
Feeling very sad and lonely for some reason tonight, All you great folks.
V that is so awesome, thank you for that.
IF some chemo can slow it down and give me a nice summer I would be happy.
But if i lose all my strength or what is left of it, no thanks. it is waning as it is.
And all my life I have been a busy, active, independent person, so this is really making me nuts.
ZU ZU Thanks for the coffee. never heard of it, Going to make a pot in the morning. Will be so much better than my store brand coffee! Nice to see all the different products other folks have in their states.
