Just wanted to check in. MY meeting with the PC director and her daughter was amazing.
Genuine lovely folks. The daughter is about 12, and what I remember as being a horse crazy kid. So smart and polite, and she hugged me about 3 times. I am pretty sure they were surprised to get such quality stuff.
I did not cry, well not till this afternoon. The mom has asked me to come help with some educations items, and talk to the girls. I was thrilled to help, Also to come to their Mounted prep rally on the 30th.
I am thrilled to have been able to leave some sort of legacy, small as it is, after my 50 some years with horses.
:sadsmile::yes:
âBlue Ribbonâ performance Kim !
Proud of you ! ((Hugs))
Thatâs awesome Kim
Kim, that is so great to hear. Hard to let those items go but sounds like a huge score in where theyâre going and wanting you to come help!!
Nothing like being wanted, for whatever reason, to lift oneâs spirits.

See, now you know your stuff went to a good home. Plus, it was lovely of them to ask you to come talk and help. Your expertise is truly valuable.
What a generous and thoughtful thing to do. And obviously so much appreciated.

Hi all, Thanks for all the wonderful thoughts and wishes.
Pretty good day today, We have had a ton of rain, which is having a great effect on the trees and flowers, finally the trees are almost all out, a few more days. My weeping cherry and ornamental plumb are in full bloom, and I just finished mowing the back yard again, the grass is so thick and we might get rain again so I figured better get it done.
Not much to tell, Tomorrow I see the oncologist at 2:30. We will see what he has to say.
On a side note, I have been told by a few people I have recently told, that I am taking this awfully well.
Gee how am I supposed to take it, Crying all the time is not going to change things, it is what it is.
Going to enjoy what time I have. After all there are people who are in far worse shape than me, and people who get this disease very young and are robbed of a lifetime. I cannot say that.
So, One day at a time.
Good for you, there is nothing that being miserable is going to do apart from make your time sadâŠNow is the time o really live, eat the food, drink the drink, go sky diving, whateverâŠnow is the time.
Thing is NOW is the time for all of us, we all have a shelf life stamped on us somewhere, we try and forget it, but itâs there. None of us should wait, everyone get busy living.
Thatâs a fabulous attitude. With my friend who went through this over the winter, I felt like I had just noticed that I was running out of pages in a fabulous book. You realize there are only 10 pages left and you settle in to really enjoy it and be present while reading it and hope that the story line gets wrapped up satisfactorily in the pages remaining. Make the most of the rest of your pages.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow afternoon. You Eastern or Central time?
Love that you are getting to enjoy the beauty of your yard following a good rain.
I wish I could be handling this as well as you are. But, you are spot on⊠crying wonât make anything better. Enjoy every.single.day like a fine wine.

Sannois, my Russian sage with your name sends greetings and strength.
Good to hear you went out and enjoyed the lovely day. I always like things the day after it rains. It stills smells good and everything is all washed clean.
I hope your visit tomorrow goes well!
Wow it is doing great AB!!! I love that you named it after me.!
