Well I doubt that, remember I did that at 6 am. By 8 I was soaking wet and had enough.

Well at 9 PM I was out bringing in the sunflower feeder to the garage, and it looked like any minute, rain.
And yup got a nice thunder shower, Gorgeous cloud colors too.
So I won’t be watering in the AM. Supposed to only be in the 80s tomorrow. Lovely!! And lawn boy is coming, too bad I will be at my doctors appointment. Ah well, It will be nice to see the lawn trim.
I am so picky about my yard and how it looks it is making me nuts.! And it is only 2 weeks,

I’m happy to hear that you’re feeling good! Any luck finding maters? Ours aren’t near ready, but our farm stands are beginning to get them and they’re not bad! I put some pink salt, pepper, and fresh basil from the garden on them, then top that with mozzarella and a balsamic glaze. Mmmmmmmmmm…dinner.

Nope but I am hitting the markets Today and Tues. I WILL find some.
And some cukes.
Have a serious craving for some sliced cukes and fresh sliced maters in Vinegar and salt and Pepper.
Yup it is my go to Salad in the summer, Used to eat it as a kid believe it or not…:lol:
Sadly from the weather folks, if you can even believe them, it is supposed to get hot again.
Oh well. Better than snow!

VERY hot and humid here…got some great Heirloom tomatoes at Whole Foods. My tomatoes are coming along though!

Yeah I have been up since 4 :30… Did laundry, vacuumed, Showered.
I am off to the grocery store soon. Then to meet my guys who also post. go to the bank, And … LOOK FOR FRESH PRODUCE!! Wish me luck! Looks like we only get a small break today in the heat, and then 3 or more days of 90 hot and Humid. The maters should be coming, And we have not been dry. So here’s hoping.

Good morning Kim! I have been absent thanks to visitors for the last week (3 more weeks to go). One thing I definitely miss about a MI summer are the fruit/veggie stands and going strawberry picking. Nothing was better than all that fresh yummy fruit and sweet summer corn. And actually GOOD tomatoes!!! I haven’t had a good mater in so many years.

I’m gonna get flamed for this, but … I’m not a big mater fan. I love a good BLT as much as anyone, but when I make them myself, either the bacon isn’t crisp enough or the mater isn’t perfect. Pathetic.
I offer up this (IMHO) alternative: thinly sliced smoked turkey breast, good bakery garlic bread, havarti cheese. broil open face, then add slice of tomato and avacado. that is a little slice of heaven.
For my can’t-wait-for-summer fix, little comes between me and the berries at the farmers market. raspberries and blueberries are in now, blackberries are coming soon.

I was just thinking about this on the drive in to the air conditioned office. I groomed for an Arab/Morgan stable a couple of years. Worst show I remember was 104 degrees. In my memory they were either too hot or too wet. Remind me why they were so much fun? My father would never allow me to show without my jacket unless it could be construed as child abuse! He said I could deal with it for 15 minutes. Now and then I remember showing without. But NEVER in an equitation class. Those were do or die.

In my neck of the woods we also have “pizzer” which would be pizza for most everyone else. We love to drop an R off words (washa and drya) and randomly put them where they don’t belong.
It is cooler today here, too. Hope to drive the mini tonight.
No farm fresh maters here yet, but the store bought ones are starting to resemble real maters and not pink baseballs.

So lawn guy is out there working his tail off, with his girl friend mowing too. Super nice guy, he is older than I thought.
Said he will do any chore I need help with.
I hate help!!! I used to do this all myself.
Pissed off today, I am mad at this frikin disease.
PC doc who I have never seen before, I always went to the PA.
He is very nice, very caring and concerned. I think he was shocked that I was okay with doing nothing.
Well, As long as I have breath and strength. We talked about all kinds of possibilities.
He said what about palative surgery, I said nope, what for, My liver is full of little tumors.
He said the Dex, while it is a great drug will not work forever. I know that.
He also said to fool around with the dosage, try every 2 days, or 3 days.
I can do that. he did say it does not do much for your immune system, which I did not know.
It is a bandaid.
No one can tell me how long or what will happen,
I think I should just do heavy labor in the really bad heat and be done with it.
He kept talking Hospice, Uuuh Nope. Probably not. Maybe but not for a while.
He said what about family, nope, none. Support group?? Well yes but they are virtual! LOL And awesome.
I am still of the one day at a time school.

I want one that will pick me up throw me in the furnace and box me up and Todd can pick me up and toss me in the woods. That is the plan. No funeral, no service… Hah! Yeah like anyone would come.
The few friends have still been AWOL. I have half a mind to write an email saying, well Kim is gone,

Oh one “Friend” has called me twice, actually I found her her first horse when she was 12 and taught her and took her to shows. she is 42 now. Kind of a funny one. She thinks driving anywhere to visit some one over 24 miles is too much.
I have no words. I wonder what they will say when I am dead.?? I stopped caring. I really have the worst taste in friends.
