Well according to DAP Chrome is out of the million. The Chromies should have a hay day with his …who will they blame roulette.

My guess is he done. Wonder if they will be happy or sad to hear that?
They’re pissed that he’s hurt and that this injury is going to affect his breeding career. They think that it will reduce his stud fee and that people probably won’t send their mares to him now.

They’ll be overjoyed to have a reason to drag Perry Martin’s name through the mud because it’s his fault this happened, even though it can happen to any horse.
Well lots of them thought he had nothing left to prove and should have been retired last year. You can’t win with these armchair trainers.

The Coburns are not helping the matter as usual. They are playing the “Whoa as me” card complaining about how they were not informed about Chrome’s injury, they think the horse should be retired but Martin never listens to them. My thought is, there must be a reason Martin has stopped communicating with those whack-a-doos. There are 2 sides to every story and we don’t know why Martin stopped talking to them. We only hear bashing from the Coburns and the moderator of Bring Chrome Home. And that person must be connected to the Coburns in some way, a relative, a friend?

I was just thinking the same thing. The person behind BCH must be a Coburn - or connected with one of them. If not, that is one crazy fan… scary!

Care to share anything? I’d wonder over there, but I just got back from seeing the Minons movie, and got my weekly dose of Vitamin Horse (I think just getting to pet my ponies while my leg heals from the break is helping me) and I don’t think I want to visit.
If they hurry they can get him on a plane to Australia in time to be out of Aussie quarantine for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.

Feel a bit sorry for the horse being stuck in a pissing match, but he’s had great care through and through. Really feel terrible for Mr. Sherman he much like the horse deserved to let his talent and character be the focus and it gets over shadowed by the circus that is DAP and the Chrome Dome legion.

Most of the good stuff has been deleted. It here is a sample comment from a Chromie: Let that horse just be a horse for God’s sake! You played with him for you own foolish, egotistical pride. Now just let him go on a sabbatical out to the ranch where he can be loved, and get some much needed rest and maybe he will recover. And maybe a good horse once again before he has to be put down, because he’s in so much pain at a young age; because of one man’s selfish greed and ignorance toward horses!
Folks on some of the usually sane racing groups I follow are suggesting he should be gelded for his own good… Because it would be “beneath him” to stand for the low five figure fees he’s likely to commission if he were to stand in this country. Right.
I’m very glad that they caught the injury. It would have been a shame to see him break down or be pulled up in the Arlington.
It IS too bad to have such a soap opera surrounding the horse. I thought the crazy had reached it’s peak but I guess it hasn’t…more fuel to the fire.
Texarkana, I think that the uneducated fans have discovered the websites that are commonly visited by people familiar with racing and horses. I’ve never seen so many silly comments before. 
The Coburn’s FB page is a real love fest all right. What a hoot. Wow. The ignorant crazy is strong!!

If you go to the California Chrome page that is run by Art Sherman’s granddaughter you will be able to figure out what is really going on, what both partners really have been saying, how much the coburn’s really do know despite Carolyn saying otherwise since everything posted is coming from a neutral party.
For instance one fan said something about Japan and the shermans replied that it’s been known for a while that he will be standing stud in KY when he retires. The coburns are saying they don’t know about any of that and that’s not true. I don’t know what the women Coburns are thinking when they post stuff like that on their page getting everyone upset and downright crazy.
I don’t just fear for the safety of C.C. but any other racehorse from this point on with the way they’re encouraging all this crazy behaviour and so much wrong information.
