The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...

Do the Martins and Coburns own the other foals out of Love The Chase in partnership? Because this business deal has definitely gone sour…

I seriously cannot even open my Facebook news feed without seeing California Chrome/Coburn vs. Martin garbage now… and I don’t even follow any of the “crazy” pages!

And the crazies get even crazier. Didn’t think that was possible.

Yeah. It’s 70% Martin, 30% Coburn for all of the three other goals, plus the mare.

Carolyn Coburn was posting on The Coburns of California Chrome FB page saying they needed to get out of the partnership because blah blah poor them.

This whole thing is going to that Burning Hot Place in the South (the Deep South) in a hand basket really fast.

I wonder if Martin will buy Coburn out on the other horses. It definitely doesn’t sound like the partnership can continue now.

Like someone else said, it is too bad that all this crap and drama are overshadowing their nice horse and the good job that Art Sherman did.

I really hope so. Such a mess, I can’t read a single article anywhere without the drama getting trotted out.

Heck, if I were Martin I’d be contemplating selling out to the Coburns and just washing my hands of the whole thing, and starting over quietly on my own.

Posted on the DAP page about an hour ago, but I’m sure it’s going to poof (or maybe not, I’d leave it there for everyone to see BCH has lost it):

Perry & Denise Martin, SO HOWS THAT 180 DEGREE THING WORKING FOR YOU? Get the Hell out of America, you worthless, heartless jerks. And take your pieces of crap fans with you. You don’t deserve to be Americans. You are evil people.

:eek::eek::eek:

Here’s another one from the bat$hit crazies: “He is in USA he is on vacation he is SAFE not going to RACE, yeaaaaa am so happy for him could have been disaster for him with that infection. So sit back and watch him eat and rest and heal grin emoticon !!!”

I had to explain that he had a stone bruise and it really isn’t all that uncommon for horses (wink). I swear they think they literally were starving him over in the UK and now he is back home and “has his twinkle in his eye back”.:disgust:

The “chrome crazies” seem to be living in a separate reality.
One posted; “he needs us to watch over him”. What?

How exactly does that work :confused:when you are not connected to the horse in any manner (except in the fantasy in your head)?

I wonder if he is going to stand at Taylor Made or if he is being sales prepped to dissolve the partnership.

I swear, Chrome is going to “speak” to one of these crazies and they are going to try to do something really, really bad to the Martins. Much worse than dancing around Barbaro’s statue at midnight, BTW. I think they have crossed that fine line into insane and potentially dangerous at this point.

Make the FOBs seem soooo tame in comparison.

I somehow missed this. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/videos/13781/lennys-place-triple-crown-edition

Hope the chrome crazies don’t watch the first part.

Lenny certainly doesn’t pull any punches, and he’s right on about the TC and Coburn’s comments.

Doesn’t Taylor Made also do layup? He’s going to have to spend a healing period somewhere, isn’t he? That would presumably not be a stall at Los Al or Arlington. Taylor Made could be a possibility, plus he’d already be in Kentucky if the connections were trying to finalize a stud deal.

I’m wracking my brain trying to remember who the last horse I read about going to Taylor Made was. He didn’t stay, it was just for a week or two before the stud announcement was made. Checking Bloodhorse now.

I wonder where he will end up going to stud. If it will be about the almighty dollar or if Martin will take less so “America’s Horse” can stay in America.

Since Martin controls 70%, does that mean it is his decision and Coburn has no say at all? It sounds like that’s how the racing decisions have been going lately.

This reminds me so much (but it’s worse because it’s the owners creating the mayhem and circus) of Barbaro and the Alex Brown crazies of years ago… sigh!

Pretty much, yes that’s the way it works. Majority owners call the shots when partners don’t agree. They also pay a higher percentage of the bills…

Mr. Martin seems to be spending many “almighty” dollars on the horse’s travel and training and now, lay up. I doubt Taylor Made has “bargain” rates.

“America’s horse”? What’s that about?

Haven’t you heard? He’s not only America’s horse, he’s the MOST FAMOUS horse in the WORLD!!!11!!

Did I do that right? Enough caps with some accidental 1s thrown into the punctuation?

I don’t think that all of those people who objected to him leaving the country had too much trouble spending their portion of the $2 million from Dubai.

I see… It’s rather like when the Dallas Cowboys decided (for all of us) that they were “America’s team”.

VURT da FURK?!

I love this thread. It makes me laugh on a daily basis.
