It can have elements of all three! Something for everyone! Or you could write it as a Greek tragedy.[/QUOTE]
Yes, and the chorus could be the Shermans, the Coburns, and the BCH crowd.
I think the government needs to step in with a giant butterfly net, collect all these loons and bring them to an asylum. We’re never going to get a break from these so called race fans/horse lovers.
That “the Truth” page, is at least very funny. One of the best lines I’ve seen so far :
Holy Shit!! How many flipping pages does this horse need! LMFAO!! I think some people need to go back on their meds!
I’m really hoping for something juicy and batshit nutty so I can use the honey badger gifs.
“The Truth” page has already changed it’s name. It’s now called 11111119999955552457. Seriously. And it’s rapidly disappearing. Crap, I didn’t have a chance to make popcorn yet.
Looks to me like someone can’t handle the “TRUTH”
Personally, I like The Truth (with Jokes) but then again, I’m a die hard Al Franken fan anyway. Yay political satire.
Sigh…gone so fast! I have to admit that “truth” page was so funny I was hoping it would last longer. Oh well! This gave me the push to finally make a chrono account. I just want to thank everyone in this thread for all the laughs to date.
Damn, why did I have to go to the grocery store! Everything seems to have “poofed” while I was gone
And I got wasabi and ginger potato chips and wine to enjoy that train wreck
What happened to it? Someone said something about a screenshot of tax papers the truth had posted. Did that person really go that far??
Apparently they must have posted something they shouldn’t have. From the “Numbers” site:
“I got a screen shot. Sorry, but they aren’t going to trump me on taxes or tax law…if that sounds arrogant, it IS! They posted tax information they shouldn’t have, and I captured it, and it has serious implications.”
eta: posted, not printed…

The page said that Steve never received any income statements (or some such phrase) from Perry so he couldn’t claim income from Chrome’s races after (I think) the Belmont. Tax papers were never posted, just that Steve didn’t receive all the information he required to file properly.
I was just thinking, Taylor Made may want to think about stopping the tours. I am afraid they are going to be overrun with crazy Chromies.

Nah, those nuts will never leave their keyboards and their cats long enough to actually go see the horse they “love.”
Can’t recommend the potato chips
Meh. Stick to Inner Peas.
It seems that I missed all the later fun at theTruthetc. page. Seriously - how transparent and batguano crazy was that?
More nonsense from BCH itself…
Sammi, I hear you, just such a sad day. Even though they may not realize it now, its a sad day for American horse-racing. They lost thousands of fans today, in a faltering sport that cant afford to lose even one fan. Fricking idiots, American horse-racing, has tried hard to bring new fans to the sport. Chrome comes along & suddenly they have exactly what they wanted, thousands of new fans, because of California Chrome. I place some blame on American Horse-racing Association for not having the intelligence to realize what they had in Chrome, & allow the mismanagement of their Derby Champion. When a horse wins the Kentucky Derby, they are part of history. There should be something that allows them to step in if a Derby horse is being managed by Goofy.
And a sensible reply…
There is no such thing as an American Horse Racing Association. If you’re going to claim to be a fan, at least learn something about the sport. Horses retire from racing all the time. It truly isn’t the end of the world.
One of the minions… about why Coburn so bravely gave up his share of CC…
think of it this way… a single mother gives up her child to othres who will give it a better life rather than have it killed, et Martin would sooner or later killed CC b/c of his hatred for Steve.
And BCH itself is seriously whack and angry… this is about Taylor Made…
maybe its just me, but I doubt highly its a great farm given the Martin selected it. He doesnt give a crap about Chrome, never has. Its all about the cash, selfish greedy basturd. What makes you think suddenly Martin decided to do something in Chromes best interest. Dont be ridiculous
It is just you, you poor misguided scrag… << said in my best Dan Akroyd voice
And what will happen to him after his stud days are over? Taylor Made isn’t going to just keep him and let him live out his days there! What are the long term prospects for this poor horse who has already endured so much at the hands of someone who never had his best interest at heart? He deserves so much better!
I can’t imagine that Taylor Made wouldn’t pension him. They’ve never had a stallion pensioned that I know of, but their stallion roster isn’t very large and most of them are young. Idiot. They keep going on about how much he’s had to endure. Hell, he’s had a better life than most horses do even with the imagined hardships those dolts are trying to heap on him.
I think so too, Its sad that Chrome had to suffer from Martins bad decisions, it would be a beautiful thing, Chrome giving up his life in California to save his siblings from Martins hands.
I think the BCH moderator is cuckoo for cocoa puffs if she truly thinks that Junior is actually thinking altruistically and “sacrificing himself” for the others. Moron.
I would imagine that Chrome would wind up at Old Friends if he is still in the country at that point.
Also, from the BCH page, it seems that the majority of crazies there truly believe that the Shermans also own a part of Chrome. Somebody who hasn’t been banned (a very small percentage of us at this point) should explain that the role of a trainer is not to nurture the horse for the rest of its life, but that it is a life where horses come and go, break down without any warning, and that stalls at the tracks are for horses who are planning on running, that horses can adapt to new situations, and finally that racing (their actual livelihood) isn’t a horrible life for a horse. And that goes for being retired to stud. (And save it for posterity because it will have a very brief lifespan).
Somebody also figured out that the slaughter bit came about because somebody jumped to the conclusion that auction automatically meant a trip to the slaughterhouse.

Because I guess there are no other auctions besides the ones the kill buyers go to.
Where do these people come from??
