The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...

I notice that BCH hasn’t responded to the nice request somebody made to show them the ‘stallion sales’ page. They haven’t deleted it either, because it sounds like an earnest inquiry to them. They’re stuck!!

And yes, Taylor made may want to consider some extra security on those tours.

I hope they let the people like me visit him. I.know Three Chimneys is fan friendly. I want to.see him.being happy

What’s up with the excessive punctuation? She then goes on to say this:

Wish they could get rid of Perry Martin entirely. I think.a lot of people would be better than.him. He is . bottom of the barrel. Sorry for the Coburns but they have to get away from.Martin.

Unless that partnership ends up being dissolved, they still have 2 or 3 Chrome siblings that they own together. I can’t see the Coburns stepping away from all of them, because I think they genuinely do appreciate their horses. He sold his share in Chrome because, as he had stated earlier, he knew the horse would be well cared for. We know that Martin likely isn’t going anywhere either. Unfortunately there will be plenty more drama for the Crazy Chromies to feed on, especially if any Chrome siblings are moderately talented.

From BCH:

I think Chrome will do fine at Taylor Made. I hope Perry Martin has no luck. Everything he touches should turn.to manure. Rot in.hell you arrogant greedy.pig! !!!

Here’s a thought, you frumpy dumbass, get off your keyboard and leave your cat and put some skin in the game. Y’wouldn’t have you pwecious illusions of “'MURICA’S Horse” if someone – namely the guy you’re maligning with such outraged indignation – hadn’t spent money to make it happen.

Three full siblings plus their dam. The Coburns were present either for the births of the all four offsprings or were there shortly thereafter. A week or so ago new pictures of the Coburns visiting the two fillies and younger brother were posted on the now gone Coburns FB page, so at that point the partnership ownership of them still appeared intact.

Some of the crazier posters appear to have migrated over to the Paulick report. In a thread there yesterday on Hope’s Love injured shoulder, someone suggested that Chrome and Hope’s Love be turned out together to recuperate.

There’s some cray-cray on the Paulick Report all right. The same dolt who posted the blurb I quoted above on the BCH site also posted this on the Paulick Report

Hope she has a full recovery. Just wish Martin was out of the picture. Guess he will ruin the other horses or try unless things change.

All I can say is what the frell is she thinking? That Martin deliberately went out and hit poor ickle Hope in her wittle shoulder to hurt her? She was at “home” at Golden Gate Park, with her “people” which is the same BS they were trying to whinge about with Junior and why he got hurt in England or whatever – that he wasn’t “home” with “people who loved him”. Does the concept of accident just not compute to them?

The Bring Chrome Home page is certainly entertaining. What seems so nuts to me is all the idiocy about poor mistreated Chrome and mean Mr. Martin and terrible Taylor Made.

Most of us who’ve been around the game could quickly recite a long list of owners and farms that would not have the horse’s best interests at heart, but why the major melodrama about people who have ensured that the horse had excellent care every step of the way? The crazies should tour selected barns of some of the low level tracks if they really want to see what a ribby, mistreated racehorse looks like.

It’s so obvious to anybody who’s spent time in the Thoroughbred industry that the horse has been in excellent hands every step of the way. Whether you or I would have planned the same campaign Martin did, it’s his horse and he’s paying the bills.

Guess reality is hard to explain to the folks who are making statements on the Facebook page about Martin wanting to slaughter not only his horse but his wife, though…

Why am I working 24/7 to manage this place and 44 horses of assorted shapes, breeds, ages, and sizes when I can simply have one of those great horse whisperers take over? I am sure they will have the entire herd farting rainbows within two weeks. Yeah, that’s it…

BCH said that Chrome sacrificed himself to save his siblings from Martin

Yep I said it all along. When Chrome retires, so will I. NOT following horseracing anymore. Horses are being mistreated all the time, Chrome is just the latest example of it. Can’t stand it. Tired of seeing and hearing about it. Enough is enough.

Good riddance!! Racing don’t need a twit like her as a fan. Ugh. I feel dirty that we even have a mutual friend. Ewwwwww.

One commentator on the Paulick Report suggests that BCH means “Bring Crazy Here”!!! I am in stitches laughing about that.

Oh boy, now DAP owns Lucky Pulpit too according to BCH.

It was the news we never wanted to hear. California Chrome was sold. It’s hard to believe, & still sinking in. Unfortunately it looked like the Coburns didnt have much choice. They couldn’t be part of Martins bizarre behavior & reckless decisions regarding Chrome. The team, as we knew it, came to an abrupt end in Dubai, when Martin played the bully card. He proclaimed himself as being solely in charge of Chromes career, stating he was now in charge of making all of the decisions. Then proceded to drive him into the ground, mind, body & career. “Bring Chrome Home” page won’t change, & will continue to follow Chrome, post how he’s doing, & what his future holds. There is also a big concern for the other horses owned under DAP partnership, who include Love the Chase & Lucky Pulpit (Mom & Dad) along with two sisters & his new baby brother “smitty” born 4/12/15. Thousands of fans, myself included, have vowed NEVER to support another horse who Martin owns majority in, preferrably not involved at all. The sport of American horse racing needs more loving & kind owners like the Coburns. Chrome was a family member to them, a beloved pet, who just happened to win the Kentucky Derby, & quickly became the most famous horse on earth. As Steve so eliquently said "a horse like Chrome comes along once in several lifetimes, if your lucky. There’ll never be another horse like him, There will never another California Chrome.

I bet that comes as a surprise to Mr and Mrs Larry Williams

Well what can you expect from a bunch of keyboard warriors who wouldn’t know THE TRUTH if it came up and bit them in the ass. They’re too damn lazy to do the research and jump to conclusions because they’re ignoramuses. Of coooooourse they ASS-u-me that DAP owns Lucky Pulpit.

Seriously, their bitch-whine-gripe fest is pathetic. and they can’t see the forest for the trees. Most famous horse in the world? Push-lease!! I like Junior, but seriously? He’s got whackadoodle followers.

They’re clueless frumps. Sending Junior to England might not have been good in hindsight, or maybe it was. Who knows. But it’s not like it’s the only mistake ever made with a horse. Ever.

“The poor thing will continue to be mistreated unless the Humane Society gets involved”.

This was posted by someone who supposedly was an exercise girl at Arlington Park. This stuff gets more weird by the day. Racing needs new fans but this group certainly does not fit the bill. With the internet, how hard can it be to actually do some research before you write something that makes you look like an asshat. I read some of the comments and just have to shake my head…

Oh man, now I’m feeding on their drama. I can’t help it!

Absolutely dying. Martin has ALWAYS been in charge, from Day 1. It just so happens that up until recently, Coburn agreed with him! (Apparently.) I’m never going to understand what was just so bad about sending him to England. The Coburns and the Martins will probably never have another horse who can run at Ascot…why shouldn’t they enjoy it while they have the chance? And clearly the horse was well treated and living well over there, so what was all the anger for?

This is probably my favorite comment from BCH.

I heard a million times how gorgeous England was, statements like its a horse heaven constantly were said. As we know now, England was far from Heaven for California Chrome.

…WHAT?

She also has X-Ray vision because she was able to determine that the “bruise” was actually…a broken cannon bone!!

And she claimed she rode Secretariat at 2. Suuuuuuuure she did.

She mentioned elsewhere that she used to exercise his half-brother, Something Fabulous, which might be closer to the truth. But I was curious about her and did some research. I don’t know if you would consider her career ‘highly successful’ but her profile is here: http://www.equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=People&searchType=T&eID=20202 She had a horse win the '88 Hawthorne Gold Cup, and one ran in the '92 Chicago Budweiser Breeder’s Cup. I actually found her resume online, and she states that in 2005 her main training client was killed in a car crash, which resulted in the closure of her racing stable. Yes, that’s a lot of creeping… But I wanted to see what kind of professional horse person would believe he was ill-treated.

Wow that puts it on a whole new level. Wonder what her story is?

…or would turn a bone bruise into a broken cannon bone without having anything to do with the horse or its people. She is just feeding into the BCH crazies - and now they will fall all over her as an expert.
