I ‘liked’ the facebook page just to see what you all are talking about. These people truly are nuts. Latest update is about the Cobourns selling their shares. How could they? They are Chrome’s ‘family’. OMG![/QUOTE]
Oh good, one of us who isn’t banned from commenting! Don’t say anything on there, we need to save your comment for when we really need it as you are now our spokesman! We generally only get one before she figures out we aren’t one of “them”
Everything was done to make.it as hard for Chrome as possible
AP.had a field.of fewer horses in.the Belmont. The. Haskell was no . real . formidable . competition. Just my opinion.
Robot lady here. Geez. Yeah, AP had less competition, but if you ask me it was more formidable than what CC faced. AP and Frosted both would have won the last several Belmonts at the times they recorded. Ask Smarty Jones what tough competition is.
Of course the Haskell was relatively easy. Who is knowingly going to put their horse up against a TC winner, unless they’re willing to point for second place, or hope the champ has a bad day? The same thing would’ve happened if Chrome had won the TC. And. oh. my. god. the. punctuation. is. killing. me.
It’s a shame a horse has to win like AP just to be put on a pedestal.
The Haskell field was actually pretty big considering a TC winner was in it. The Jim Dandy only had 4 starters because a couple of horses scratched to run in the Haskell instead. Some of that was because of the inflated purse of course. But it’s not like he was in a public workout, like Rachel Alexandra in the Mother Goose. He had some good horses and a good sized field. He just made it look so darn easy.
I guarantee Taylor Made, you never had a horse like Chrome & there will never be another. Treat him as special as he is. And, would it really hurt to let us know how he is healing & if he’s gaining weight? unless you’ve been instructed not to.
 Do those dolts know that Taylor Made owns Tiznow in partnership with WinStar? And that Real Quiet retired to stand his first few years at stud there?
Or that hey, they’ve already posted 2 pictures of him on their Facebook. That’s hardly “hiding” him away, it’s mostly not letting the batguano lunatics run the show.
I haven’t been banned from posting at BCH because I have yet to post there, but I’m kind of hoping to save my one comment for when I can finally walk again so I can thank them all…
… for being so frelling stupid they made me laugh at their inane and blatant stupidity. Endorphin release, yo. Makes me heal faster.
I wish Taylor Made would never make another post regarding Chrome’s current “status” - other than, “yes, he’s coming back to race now” or “no, he’s retired; give us your money and breed a mare.” Let the dolts die from the suspense. TM won’t do that, though, because they’re too nice.

Well, I give them the point that AP got something none of the Derby/Preakness winners between 1979 and now had gotten–a Belmont field that was the maximum size for a TC. No TC winner’s had to face a larger field and only Slew and IIRC Citation even had as many as AP faced. Most were much, much smaller and very few fresh horses (the smallest fields had 2-3 other entries.) Reduces both the chances of hitting a fresh horse who turns out to like distance and the odds of traffic issues. But really, the latter seems like it would be the only thing AP really has to worry about, at least against other three-year-olds.

I haven’t posted either. Sometimes I want to, but… I’m saving it for now!
Kind of giggling though - one lady is upset because they were going on vacation and wanted to tour TM and meet CC, and were told that he isn’t available to visitors now, or in October, or any time except for the one to be announced fan day. Which is apparently upsetting because they probably won’t be able to get up close and personal with him on fan day because of the number of people.
Good on TM.

I wonder if “Taylor Farm” is starting to regret acquiring “Chromie” because of the crazy fans!!! I bet there is no fan day! LOL!
It’s no big surprise to see that the BCH page “like” D. Trump. I guess they get their entertainment anywhere/way they can !
I think Taylor Made knows what they’re up against (see the photo of the horse turned out in a shipping halter, nice and fuzzy for the fuzzy fanatics ) but I have confidence that they are professional enough, and will say neigh when necessary.
Aaaaand the BCH dumbshits are at it again. Y’know, spewing their stupid “opinions” without anything to back themselves up.
As posted by the admin:
Chrome was originally scheduled to race this Saturday in Chicago’s Arlington Million. After reading this article, Its more than appalling, Chromes owner Perry Martin entered our Kentucky Derby Champ to run on, a broken down, near bankrupt, MINOR league race track.
I was just going to post this. Here’s the article she was referring to: http://espn.go.com/horse-racing/story/_/id/13427916/million-card-emblematic-chicago-racing-demise
And they had to get that Perry Martin dig in as usual.
Martin’s site, in the meantime, posts that Arlington Park will have a booth for CANTER on the day of the Million, and he appears to really strongly support OTTB projects.
Yeah. They’re having vapors and histrionics over Arlington Park having problems (which if the head idiot bothered to read the article, it would explain why AP’s fallen from it’s heyday.) Heck, look at SoCal racing. Much as I love the place dearly, the barns at Santa Anita aren’t exactly the Taj Majal, and do we really have to mention Hollywood Park?
But oh the horrors! How dare that Perry Martin think about running his horse in the signature race at Arlington Park. After all, he’s sooooo special and isn’t like any other horse </sarcasm>
If Chromie ran as well as that lady runs her mouth he’d have won the Triple Crown.
I like the post with Chrome rearing. They are all complaining about how close to the fence he is, how the mean man is holding him too tight, etc. They are acting like he is not misbehaving, just having some fun. As if rearing horses (if they are Chrome) are some funny thing and not a real hazard.
if the rearing pic had been taken in that hellhole for horses (according to BCH) - England - they would all be foaming at the mouth about cruelty, abuse, how poor Chrome rears because he is depressed, needs more cookies, is protesting about being tortured and calling out to them etc. etc. etc.
Yep - Arlington is certain a bush league track. Purses and entries aside, just look at that dump… I wish BCH would stop and research things before running her mouth and confirming what a clueless twit she is…
I like the picture where the new groom is giving him a treat and a “Chromie” is mad that he had to stretch his neck to get it.
Well, I equate the rearing photo with Chrome being a 3-year-old (wacky teenage male equivalent) and I think the fence is farther away than it seems. Nobody seems to mention that this was while he was under the auspices of the Great God Sherman.
Weren’t the Million and the race at Ascot both invitational races, not just something out of the blue that the owner came up with? Probably also Dubai, for that matter.
They were just running out of things to gripe about, me thinks.

That ^ will never happen…
ETA: Very odd. Yesterday there were pictures on the Taylor Made FB page as well as The Coburns of Hope’s Love FB page of Coburns paying a visit to Chrome at T M with the inevitable bag of Mrs. Pasture’s cookies that the BCHers swoon over. An earlier post on Coburns’ page had a rather unprofessional and unnecessary dig at Martin about their co-ownership of CC’s siblings etc. Just now, I sat down to enjoy a coffee break and check out any CC drama - and Coburns’ page is gone - POOF! - as well as all the photos of the visit on other pages (Taylor Made, BCH) …
ETA2: Everything seems to be back now - never mind. << said in an Emily Littela voice…
So is the “other” page also run by the crazy from Bring Chrome home ?Which I was immediately banned from for maybe perhaps saying " Wow and you think the ex owners have no class" whoops

Just in case the post goes poof this quote , accompanies some photos of Chrome at TM.
“Chrome is peering out making sure the coast is clear and there aren’t any ex-owners or their attention-whore groupies outside looking to exploit him by taking photos for their FB pages…”
